I live in Buffalo, NY and we’re very fortunate to have not only plenty of pieces of architecture designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, but the Olmsted Park system, too.

I think the Industrial Revolution was the most important event, or period, in human history. It changed absolutely everything about our lives, mostly but not entirely, for the better IMHO. I don’t know if you are familiar enough with the decorative arts, but I would love a long, detailed lecture on the various European furniture styles up to the Victorian period and the advent of all factory-made furniture. I buy mostly antique or early 20thC. vintage furniture because: it has the right look for my Victorian home; it’s made of wood, not plastic; and for the last 20 years during the huge revival of MCM style, it has been cheap and readily available. I think the pendulum is swinging back to traditional furniture styles again, but slowly.

Hi! great lessons as usual! ! I admire your passion! do you think in the future you could also add extra lessons maybe just focusing on specific artists? like shiele and klimt :) and showing their paintings with more detail? thanks!😊

Are there any books you would recommend to further research this era?

Brighton Pavilion was designed by and for George IV, when he was still the Prince of Wales during the reign of his father, George III. Not for “Prince George III”, there’s no such title.

I would much rather have 19thC. mass-produced wood furniture than today’s plastic crap that they call furniture.
