As someone who is a stickler for detail when it comes to collecting retro handhelds the video hit my niche buttons.
the cats on the monster hunter cat 3ds are called palicos. They're little cat gremlin things that help you fight the monsters.

I have the white / green Luigi edition and I actually like it (but it also was the only one that I was able to get a hold of). It remindes me of the Yohsi eggs somehow 😅😅😅😅

In 2014, I forgot mine in the back pocket of an airplane seat, to be lost and never found… I couldn’t live without it, and shelled out another $500ish on a brand new one.
It’s kinda hard to maintain though. Mine is covered in scratches.
That gold 3ds xl Zelda edition console is definitely one of the best ones
I think the animal crossing one is so much better than the boring blue fire emblem one lol

I think Shin Megami Tensei 4 edition was really good. in the middle it like the rorschach but demon sysmbol, the black part has demon design while you flip it, the white part has angel design and its blend really good

persona fan here! the pq systems cover represents the compendium where you can summon your personas (kinda like jojo stands). really neat to have it represent the compendium book.

Hey as a 3ds collector i just wanted to reach out, the IQue mario wasnt a contest prize, it was only available in china in very limited quantity. Definitely more than contest prize quantity, but its unknown how many were sold.
Cool video, some criticism. Look into what your talking about! You clearly took the time and effort to set up and script this video, so take some effort to learn about what your talking about! You shouldn't excuse not knowing what a slime is from Dragon Quest, or like anything about Monster Hunter (the second one is framed around Gore Magala (whose icon you see behind the gold embleming), and the third one is framed around Furious Rajang), or like that Chopper's 3ds is pink cause his hat is pink, or maybe you should tell the audience about what Cepter's Cup is! You gotta think about it from the audience's perspective, "Why would I want to watch videos from a guy who doesn't know what he's talking about?" The script just kinda comes off as half-baked
Also, the link between worlds one is my personal fav
Thats fair critiscm, and I do agree to an extent. However, for special edition systems I feel like its not a requirement to know everything about the relevant franchise to have an opinion about how cool the system looks. The reason I didn't bother to research the Cepters Cup is because I personally couldnt care less about what it is. What I do care about is the system itself and how it looks though.

For the first OP 3DS, Chopper (the guy on the 3ds)'s motif color is pink, and his backstory is heavily associated with cherry blossoms, which are pink. He is extremely popular because he's cute, he's a main character, and he's the easily marketable merchandisable mascot
Not to say that pink is for girls, but One Piece has a decently even demographic split between Japanese male and female watchers (Around 60% men 40% women), this 3DS's intended audience was likely girls into One Piece, and the other one was intended for guys, since they both came with the same game.

The Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire editions probably look so blurry because of the poor-quality pictures. I bet they are much sharper in person. Personally I really like the designs and would put them in the good tier.
Oh yeah for sure. The images I used were the best I could find but are still super blurry.
Finally someone who agrees with me about the NES controller edition. Dragon Quest one for me goes in god tier as does Monster Hunter Cat edition. I like the One Piece pink and for me is good. Both the Persona Q and Shin Megami are definitely god tier. I really like the Yokai Watch one. I really dislike the Gold Zelda edition and would put that in bad well maybe good but barely. The One Piece cartoon one would go God tier for me. I am not a fan of the gold covers at all.
Nes edition to me isn't that bad , especially because I actually had that controller as a little kid lol 👍. It's definitely a nostalgic must have 👍
Pink One-piece one is so peak if you watch One-piece, makes me feel real emotional lol

@@Woz99yt The character on the front, Chopper, is sitting in the Cherry Blossoms of his homeland Drum Island, the Cherry blossoms hold a heavy weight, being the thing his father-figure/teacher Dr. Hiriluk used to cure the townsfolk of his village.
Dr Kiriluk falls ill with a terminal illness. Chopper risks his life to the point of near death in an effort to cure his teacher's disease, but instead accidently kills his master by getting him a poisonous mushroom thinking it was the antidote for his sickness. Because of his teacher's place in his heart, the cherry blossoms hold more weight. Its a deep cut reference for one-piece fans, Id say I like it moreso than the other One-piece one.
