Fun fact, there was a draft where Jake won. But the creator had asked for some input from the proofreaders on who should win. The creator was leaning towards Jake, but the proofreaders made a case that Jake's behavior causing the eliminations of several contestants didn't earn him the prize.
That was kinda dumb because he learned from his mistakes and made up with everyone he had an argument with and he had improvement throughout the season but i guess riya winning the money and having no friends was the better option even though she is now the richest character and yul got money
@@dbgaysillyhe never learned from his mistakes tho. He’s been as inconsistent as Riya. And plot pretty much is how he “made up” with ally & James. They pretty much hated him then randomly were best friends without him saying sorry or even talking about it.
@@Dark-Wolf27 no he literally had improved to the point he started to focus more on strategy and befriending others he isn't inconsistent he actually a very consistent character compared to the others and he did apologize to James and ally it was mentioned in a greeting which sucks but the finale was already handle too much so they couldn't fit it in also like it was just James and ally he also became friends with aiden, he managed to be on ok terms with Ellie and gabby, and fixed his relationship with tom

Alec and Fiore are so sweet together, just like found family. He’d make a better parent for her than either of her real ones, largely because he likes the real her and doesn’t want to change her.
Im a Riya fan, and honestly i wasn't expecting Riya to win. And im glad she did. Im glad the voice actors managed to talked Jared into letting Riya win. Jake was originally going to win (Well, Ashley was planned in the 1st 3 elimination order plans) and im glad they went with Riya winning. And thats not just me biased, Riya deserved it. I wish they gave Riya a redemption ark, but im glad they went with this route.
I think it’s really telling that out of all the villainous contestants, most ultimately decided that relationships were more important than the money. Fiore and Alec are my personal favorites ❤️
Also, I'm not sure if you've heard, but here's a couple of fun facts: For starters, it was confirmed by Jared (one of the creators), that despite quitting as Riya's helper, Alec, Ellie, and Gabby received $100,000 each. ALSO, it's either somewhat canon, or was going to be canon, that Yul was going to be gay. I heard from people that worked on the show that, during James and Yul's heart-to-heart during "No Vacancy", Yul was going to confess to James that he was gay, but that was ultimately scrapped.
They made the right choice scrapping that [regarding Yul] , it would have destroyed the character. Like, it would have been such a cop-out and preachy, like oh the super hateful guy is just repressed. So cringe. What makes Yul great and such a unique character in media is that he's an unapologetic bigot. DC team has a bad habit of trying to redeem every villain.

I just find it funny how riya won because the proofreaders hated the thought of Jake winning due to him being a pain in the ass for majority of the season lol. However I still don’t get riya sad ending? I get the money can’t buy happiness and she’s all alone however when you really think about it what did she actually lose? She hated the other contestants and they hated her back, she wasn’t close to anyone, she STILL has fame and fortune, and her loneliness can go away with her simply going outside to a bunch of fans or her going on vacation. For riya to suffer actual consequences she got off Scott free and her only punishment is 17 people who she hated won’t talk to her ever again. Realistically she should rub it in everyone faces lol
What a wild journey, From the very beginning to Riya winning, I do feel bad about the comment I made about Jake, He might grow up a tiny bit after the shows over I’m hoping.
