Backstory on the creator, Cove: 1. Cove has been creating TD content for the past 12+ years. I've been following him for about 8 years 2. Cove made a "Total Drama My Way" series that lasted 9 seasons. 6 of the original seasons with All-Stars happening after Pahkitew Island, 2 OC seasons and Season 9 being a big finale 3. Cove did 4 spin-offs from his TD My Ways, 3 seasons of Dash 4 Cash (Which was pretty much Ridonculous Race with new rules, and 2 seasons featuring no teams) and a big brother season. 4. After his My Way series, he created "Total Drama Next Generation" a continuation of his My Ways, with new casts, new hosts and new environments (Mostly) 5. Total Drama Next Generation lasted for 7 amazing fucking seasons, with 40 Contestants that I absolutely love. 6. Season 3 of Next Generation, was going to be the final season but a year later Cove released Season 4. 7. Seasons 1-4 all featured returning Contestants from Season 1, with newbies in Season 3 & 4.. Season 5 featured an all new cast on a new island. Season 6 was the big All-Star finale, and I mean BIG some crazy shit went down. 8. After Legends, Cove did plan Dash 4 Cash Season 4 but was cancelled due to complications. 9. During the break, Cove did a fictional Season 7, with the newbies of Season 3-5, and did it on his Discord. 10. After about 2 years Cove returned with Season 7, with a similar idea to his fictional Season 7, but changed pretty much everything 11. Every season Cove has done up to this point, has been on presentations, this is his 1st time on a fully animated and fully voiced project. This is also his 1st time with a crew. Every season he literally did everything, and still released seasons right after the other, the only real breaks were between Seasons 3 & 4 and 6 & 7. Just give it more time don't be harsh on it, Cove knows how to write characters and create characters, and cares about them, unlike ONC. He knows how to surprise his audience. And add on to the fact he's creating like comic stripes to go with after the episode on his Patron, + a newsletter that's free. Cove actually cares about his audience and his characters, and the idea of Legacy Points is new and isn't some stupid re-hash. I really recommend watching Total Drama Next Generation because it's better than Disventure Camp will ever be, the only reason it hasn't blown up is because it's not animated or voice casted, you actually have to read. But the writing for the characters is better than anything ONC has ever done. Please don't compare the shit show that has no care like Disventure Camp to a actual passion project that this is
I agreed with your comment up until you started ranting against ONC. Yes, the writing is questionable at times, but ONC has inspired so many people looking to get into animation projects and voice acting. Not to mention, they've played a massive role in the creation and production of reality resort. I'm sure Cove wouldn't appreciate you comparing the two project creators in such a mean-spirited way.
Here are the characters that have the same VA as some DC characters: -Marcus has the same VA as Connor -Isadore has the same VA as Tess -Charles has the same VA as Alec -Victoria and Monica have the same VA as Lill -Vijay has the same VA as Jake -Finn has the same VA as Kai I think that's all but i read tha some VA will be changed in the next episode and the VA of Ellie and Miriam/Emily will voice someone (if I'm not wrong they'll voice Olive and Monica but I'm not 100% sure)

I think the reason you don’t like the cast is because we barely know them so far, a lot of them like Monica get barely any screentime and it’s probably because this is the introduction episode so they kept it off mostly to explaining all of the different dynamics and things they will do rather than focusing on the characters immediately, since the only actual normal interaction scenes in the episode are Brad, Finn, Tino and Seth on the gym and Analise, Sarah, Cheryl and Olive on the pool
