Pretty much in line with Total Drama endings, were after an entire season of being an asshole to the contestants, something bad happens to Chris. This time, he gets into serious legal problem.
This is the best outcome for everyone. Literally the rest of the seasons would not happen except RiDonculous Race (and Don is more ethical than Chris so idk if he would get on L's radar)
woulda loved a subplot of him just gathering evidence on the corruption behind the scenes, and its just sort of this back and forth of him taking chris seriously or not. like at first it seems like an open and shut case, but with how brazenly chris is recording all the incredibly dangerous challenges and shoddy living conditions, L would realize he's either dealing with an idiot, or with someone who's incredibly confident in their ability to skirt around the law, and would need even deeper dirt on him. not sure how you'd string a plot like that throughout the video though lol plus i enjoy the idea that he secretly has off-island communication for the sake of continuing his investigative work on other cases, literally treating the show like a side gig he can multi-task on. i even imagine L having a rat on the production crew, giving L opportunities to access a hidden space with a radio and other equipment so that he can review the cases he's working on and discuss updates in privacy, without cameras being trained on him all the time. almost like a reverse kira situation, where L is the one hiding his activities from the all seeing authority that is Chris McClain
I didn’t know a hypothetical friendship between L from Death Note and Eva from Total Drama Island was something I needed in my life, but I’m glad I have it.
I always felt Eva had potential, the show just throws her under the rug. Her audition tape shows she joined to control her anger because her coach says she has leader potential if she controlled it. A character like L helping her on that path, knowingly or not, is great to see and I wish it happened in canon.
Harold lowkey is the GOAT of the OG total drama island show. Like for the role he was playing, he got super far and consistently showed actual skills in the challenges.
Honestly I'm vibing with L's journey so far. He's more willing to be honest, and I love some of the things like L standing up for Harold and helping people overcome their fears.
Shes only wanted by the Canadian govt, so the only real reason i could see L being sent to catch her would be if Canada asked Japan for assistance. Now catching Chris? Most definitely considered the show hes producing definitely features sone lowkey war crimes and would require international assistance.

An L vs Izzy ending is going to inevitably result in no one getting the money no matter who technically wins, as L moves in to arrest notorious fugitive Izzy AKA Explosivo AKA Brainzilla and she runs for it having long since figured L out and already planned her getaway.
The idea of L genuinely bonding with the other contestants is so silly to me, i genuinely feel like despite his 'professional' demeanor he wouldve possibly enojoyed some of their company enough to keep contact, probably encouraging Eva to join the police task force at somw point

I actually like how different Light and L routes are. Light going for a more offensive approach to screw people over like using the totem. While L tried making himself look less like a threat to the others. Surprisingly, L actually had more supporters in the final challenge compared to Light in both parts. I was thinking it would be the opposite since Light has better social skills compared to L. What I love most about these videos is how you do your best to make scenarios that allow the character inserted to go as far as possible and make as interesting of a story as possible, which is exactly what a reality TV show producer would attempt to do.
That tends to be how these videos go. It's less "can (character) win" but more "how does (character) win". But hey, like you said, it does make for more interesting stories. Wouldn't be much of a point to this thought experiment if L just left in Episode 3 or something. Unless someone just really wanted to explore the ripple effect of who got booted/survived because of him.

There are two things I really love about this. The first is L actually forming friendships, especially with Eva. It's really sweet and makes sense on how he can stay in the game. I also like how L has an easier time in the games then Light. In that Light had a few spots where he could lose/be voted off due to his own hubris but L is able to do better by simply being nicer and more calm about the situations. Granted, that's partially due to him getting the more 'villainous' characters out first but it is interesting to see.
I am surprised L made it so far flying under the radar like that. I know he's a tactical genius who could easily do everything presented in the video, though I figured he'd have a few 'this is where he could be eliminated' scenarios since sometimes the campers just vote off someone they don't like rather than having a good reason for it, and I can certainly see some characters thinking L is just too weird, lol. That and the lack of sweets he'd be able to eat may affect him, unless he has a hidden stash. Either way, very fun video!
I'd say Lelouch would crush anyone in this game, but he sucks hard at anything physical, so he would indeed struggle at some points. Lelouch without his geass, of course. With it, he'd be unstoppable.

The thing is, unlike Light, I don't think L DELIGHTS in being callous and manipulative. The total island drama cast are uh. Not the brightest brunch. I think he would be as callous and manipulative as he NEEDED to be, as it's easier to make connections and allies when you're more genuine in any case
Another banger. The only thing I could think of to make this a little better would be for L's goal on TDI to be hunting down and arresting Izzy for the RCMP, with his whole arc being him figuring out her game during the game. It totally makes sense that they'd rise to the finals, given their canon intelligence, but polar opposite social interactions. Can't wait to see the hopefully inevitable Near v. Mello on opposite teams video.
This was a very fun little adventure. Honestly would watch/read a fic or mini series thats fleshed out episodes of this. L, in a way, worked the manipulate game better than Light? Hes much more subtle, and nudges people in the direction that he wants, then sits back snd lets things play out. Also keeps up his "im just a guy :3" act a lot longer too. 12:22

Pretty neat! I like how L manages to encourage positive character growth in some of them and even managing to part on good terms with eliminated contestants.
I agree with almost all of it. In a race against izzy, even though L has most of the cast as fans, Izzy is just a total menace when it comes to physical feats. I see him falling really behind in the running sections too much since L doesn't really look like the athletic type. All in all I really loved the video man
He's actually pretty good physically since he's able to match Light, a Tennis champion, in both a tennis match and in a fight. Probably not enough to beat Izzy in a race though.
I just discovered this channel and am loving this series. I feel like Mello and Near would be the best picks to do next. After that, I think a video where Light and L are both on the show on opposing teams would be really fun. Some characters outside of Death Note I think would also make a good fit are Kim Possible or any member of the Scooby Gang.
Two things- 1. I haven't watched this one yet, but I'd like to see a sort of Lightning Round video analyzing who you think would win in the "Light/L loses" timelines(Like if Light lost at the Bike Challenge or there wasn't a deus ex machina name game at the Final 5 vote) 2. Some of the later seasons could be fun. The smartest character who's going to be around and effective in Season 1 is Harold who's IQ is only around 120 or so(Noah is canonically 180, but he's a first out so he's not doing much, and Izzy's IQ is dubious and tied to specific personalities and she's kind of generally psychotic so she can't make use of it when she does have it outside of Brainzilla in S3..albeit I think she works well pairing off with L when she IS smart and not especially psychotic). Meanwhile S3 has Alejandro at 166(he's going to be trading blows with these guys pretty well) and S6 has Scarlett who's over 200 IQ(and is the only character I could buy genuinely, completely fooling Light. She keeps her head down.)
In fact, on the matter of Scarlett, I could legitmately see Light in a moment of panic caught off guard by something like that making a risky move and potentially getting everyone else killed. That would be one of the alternate ending points. L probably COULD see through her, but only in the back half of the season where she's starting to crack thanks to Max and the rest of the cast is nutty enough I doubt he'd be able to focus in on her.
Now that you both done Light and L at least once, you should set it up so that they are BOTH on the island. Also, an Early Heather elimination has HUGE implications for the path of Season 1

This was pretty good. Seeing Eva and Cody go far was a nice touch; wonder how things would go in Action if Eva was allowed to hop on the show along with a member of the Death Note (Maybe Lawliet pt.2 to further build off of Island) and make the teams 9v9 (Or replace Geoff and Bridget since they get canned immediately in canon).
I can imagine L making Chris uncomfortable. Like in the sleep challenge Chris takes out the beaver book and L is listening so intently that it’s creepy.
This is the one that got me to subscribe! NGL I did not think this one would be as funny as Light in Total Drama, but there were a lot of funny moments like Geoff being the only option of getting kicked out in the final 5. Also the finale sounds super interesting. I wonder how much this would change if L and Light were both in Total Drama. It would be the craziest finale.
L and light competing at the same time except this is a timeline where the invesigation of kira is actively happening and light and L are trying to both win and investigate each other so they simultaneously don't want the other to be eliminated to keep them close but must prioritise winning above all else other wise it would make there intentions obvious (bonus points if light has the death note and has to write names in it so when they return kira didn't take a leave of abscene right when light competed and he has to keep the note book hidden from everyone and find time to use it, light can use the death note if need be but it is going to draw a ton of attention from L and likely get him caught)
And when others catch on that they're trying to make sure the other isn't voted off, in classic teen drama fashion they'd probably assume they're an item together
I’d really like to see you cover Junko Enoshima from Danganronpa if she was in TDI. Her own manipulation skills plus her Ultimate Analytical Prowess would make her both a heavy hitter and a massive target, but chances are she’d just shrug it off and relish in everyone else’s despair.
A really big thing seperating them is L is fine losing individual things for the sake of winning, Light is the type that throws a tantrum because he lost rock paper scissors

Didn't expect the L/Eva duo, that's actually a fascinating what if scenario. It does make me wonder what kind of arc Eva would have gotten if she went further in this scenario.
I feel like L would overall do better than Light, mainly because Light is a prideful guy who would refuse to do anything that he perceived as humiliating to the "god of the new world". Meanwhile L has been shown multiple times that he isn't afraid to do silly and ridiculous things that end up benefiting him in the end. In other words I don't see him struggling with the challenges as much as Light would have (the ones he was actually obligated to do himself).
Haven't thought about TDI in a long time, but I forgot how much I loved the original run. Love that Beth got a lot of love in these hypothetical scenarios.
Eventually, I’d like to see you cover Total Drama All-Stars with Light Yagami on the Villainous Vultures, and L on the Heroic Hamsters. It’d be interesting not only to see how both death note characters interact with their teams, try and outwit their opposition, but also them dealing with Mike turning into Mal.

For the inevitable L Vs Light on total drama Island Might i suggest a few additions/Rule Changes. 1 he brings the death note but it got confiscated so now chris has the death note. 2 rather then replacing 2 contestants theirs an even number so we can just add more Challenges to compensate or make 2 challenges double eliminations. Alternatively a seperate scenario, 3 Good Light and L Are forced to participate in the show as the death note ended up in Chris's hands instead of the yotsuba Group

That tends to be how these videos go. It's less "can (character) win" but more "how does (character) win". But hey, like you said, it does make for more interesting stories. Wouldn't be much of a point to this thought experiment if L just left in Episode 3 or something. Unless someone just really wanted to explore the ripple effect of who got booted/survived because of him.

There are two things I really love about this.
The first is L actually forming friendships, especially with Eva. It's really sweet and makes sense on how he can stay in the game.
I also like how L has an easier time in the games then Light. In that Light had a few spots where he could lose/be voted off due to his own hubris but L is able to do better by simply being nicer and more calm about the situations. Granted, that's partially due to him getting the more 'villainous' characters out first but it is interesting to see.
I am surprised L made it so far flying under the radar like that. I know he's a tactical genius who could easily do everything presented in the video, though I figured he'd have a few 'this is where he could be eliminated' scenarios since sometimes the campers just vote off someone they don't like rather than having a good reason for it, and I can certainly see some characters thinking L is just too weird, lol. That and the lack of sweets he'd be able to eat may affect him, unless he has a hidden stash. Either way, very fun video!
Next should be Lelouch after doing the screaming gophers version.
I'd say Lelouch would crush anyone in this game, but he sucks hard at anything physical, so he would indeed struggle at some points. Lelouch without his geass, of course. With it, he'd be unstoppable.

Light wasn't a big part of the physical challenges either, and he isn't even close to Lelouch's level of intelligence, in my opinion, especially when it comes to strategy. Lelouch has the best qualities of both Light and L, except for physical ability. I have faith he can pull it off.
I also think he'd geass or shoot Chris when the games ended, but that's a different matter XD

Another good video, seeing a more good natured genius is a change, but I feel L would be more callous and manipulative than how he is portrayed in the video
The thing is, unlike Light, I don't think L DELIGHTS in being callous and manipulative. The total island drama cast are uh. Not the brightest brunch. I think he would be as callous and manipulative as he NEEDED to be, as it's easier to make connections and allies when you're more genuine in any case
Another banger. The only thing I could think of to make this a little better would be for L's goal on TDI to be hunting down and arresting Izzy for the RCMP, with his whole arc being him figuring out her game during the game. It totally makes sense that they'd rise to the finals, given their canon intelligence, but polar opposite social interactions.
Can't wait to see the hopefully inevitable Near v. Mello on opposite teams video.

Hes much more subtle, and nudges people in the direction that he wants, then sits back snd lets things play out. Also keeps up his "im just a guy :3" act a lot longer too. 12:22

Pretty neat! I like how L manages to encourage positive character growth in some of them and even managing to part on good terms with eliminated contestants.
I agree with almost all of it. In a race against izzy, even though L has most of the cast as fans, Izzy is just a total menace when it comes to physical feats. I see him falling really behind in the running sections too much since L doesn't really look like the athletic type. All in all I really loved the video man
He's actually pretty good physically since he's able to match Light, a Tennis champion, in both a tennis match and in a fight.
Probably not enough to beat Izzy in a race though.

I just discovered this channel and am loving this series. I feel like Mello and Near would be the best picks to do next. After that, I think a video where Light and L are both on the show on opposing teams would be really fun.
Some characters outside of Death Note I think would also make a good fit are Kim Possible or any member of the Scooby Gang.
L was the one who called the RCMP on Izzy.
She likewise realizes that he was connected to the police, and kept quiet because it was more fun.
Two things-
1. I haven't watched this one yet, but I'd like to see a sort of Lightning Round video analyzing who you think would win in the "Light/L loses" timelines(Like if Light lost at the Bike Challenge or there wasn't a deus ex machina name game at the Final 5 vote)
2. Some of the later seasons could be fun. The smartest character who's going to be around and effective in Season 1 is Harold who's IQ is only around 120 or so(Noah is canonically 180, but he's a first out so he's not doing much, and Izzy's IQ is dubious and tied to specific personalities and she's kind of generally psychotic so she can't make use of it when she does have it outside of Brainzilla in S3..albeit I think she works well pairing off with L when she IS smart and not especially psychotic). Meanwhile S3 has Alejandro at 166(he's going to be trading blows with these guys pretty well) and S6 has Scarlett who's over 200 IQ(and is the only character I could buy genuinely, completely fooling Light. She keeps her head down.)
In fact, on the matter of Scarlett, I could legitmately see Light in a moment of panic caught off guard by something like that making a risky move and potentially getting everyone else killed. That would be one of the alternate ending points. L probably COULD see through her, but only in the back half of the season where she's starting to crack thanks to Max and the rest of the cast is nutty enough I doubt he'd be able to focus in on her.
Now that you both done Light and L at least once, you should set it up so that they are BOTH on the island.
Also, an Early Heather elimination has HUGE implications for the path of Season 1

This was pretty good. Seeing Eva and Cody go far was a nice touch; wonder how things would go in Action if Eva was allowed to hop on the show along with a member of the Death Note (Maybe Lawliet pt.2 to further build off of Island) and make the teams 9v9 (Or replace Geoff and Bridget since they get canned immediately in canon).
I can imagine L making Chris uncomfortable. Like in the sleep challenge Chris takes out the beaver book and L is listening so intently that it’s creepy.

NGL I did not think this one would be as funny as Light in Total Drama, but there were a lot of funny moments like Geoff being the only option of getting kicked out in the final 5. Also the finale sounds super interesting.

L and light competing at the same time except this is a timeline where the invesigation of kira is actively happening and light and L are trying to both win and investigate each other so they simultaneously don't want the other to be eliminated to keep them close but must prioritise winning above all else other wise it would make there intentions obvious (bonus points if light has the death note and has to write names in it so when they return kira didn't take a leave of abscene right when light competed and he has to keep the note book hidden from everyone and find time to use it, light can use the death note if need be but it is going to draw a ton of attention from L and likely get him caught)
And when others catch on that they're trying to make sure the other isn't voted off, in classic teen drama fashion they'd probably assume they're an item together

I feel like L would overall do better than Light, mainly because Light is a prideful guy who would refuse to do anything that he perceived as humiliating to the "god of the new world". Meanwhile L has been shown multiple times that he isn't afraid to do silly and ridiculous things that end up benefiting him in the end. In other words I don't see him struggling with the challenges as much as Light would have (the ones he was actually obligated to do himself).

For the inevitable L Vs Light on total drama Island Might i suggest a few additions/Rule Changes.
1 he brings the death note but it got confiscated so now chris has the death note.
2 rather then replacing 2 contestants theirs an even number so we can just add more Challenges to compensate or make 2 challenges double eliminations.
Alternatively a seperate scenario,
3 Good Light and L Are forced to participate in the show as the death note ended up in Chris's hands instead of the yotsuba Group
