sassysunday I saw that video too, but you have to consider one "minor" detail in here: Rafa and Roger have been the greatest rivals for a decade, whilst Stan and Roger are natural teammates and obviously friends out of the court without the super pressure of fighting for the number of slams and n.1 titles etc. So Rafa and Roger have by far the best bromance as it is the more difficult to have :)
This is why Tennis is such a novel sport. The biggest names in the sport take the onus onto themselves to keep the sport interesting. No ego issues, no fake facade for the cameras. Pure love for the sport. Glad to have lived and witnessed such giants of the sport play.

The Americans were playing more of a proper doubles game. Roger and Rafa we playing like it was a single game. Slice backhands, my god. But they got smart towards the end.

About ruddy time Federer and Nadal both paired up in doubles, definitely something which needed to happen after all these years of seeing them competing against one another and all the competition between fans as to who is the better player between these two as a result of their matchups. Although it is mostly an exhibition, definitely a good match between all four, Sock and Querry played well especially in the second set, but Federer and Nadals superior match experience obviously prevailed in the end. Hopefully the fact that they have played together for the first time (in the same team) can allow many more Tennis fans out there to respect both Federer and Nadal as fellow greats rather than comparing their achievements continuously and hating one of them or the other as a result. :)
The thought of seeing roger and rafa winning a double slam together in 4 or 5 years time when they get too old to play single tournament really gives me goosebump 😁 Really hope for that

That tension, as well as that with the Djokovic fans, only exists because of a vast portion of fans who are profoundly ignorant about tennis. If one truly loves this sport and understands it technically, can't help loving to watch and appreciate any of the greatest players, regardless of who their favorite is.
@@BOZ_11 Doubles is a specialist skillset. Unless they practice together for a considerable time (at the expense of their singles career), they are not winning anything.
It's not easy to play doubles when you are not specifically trained for it. Still federer nadal showing amazing chemistry and skills. Both are undisputed GOATs

I remember that loss at the Australian Open that Federer suffered to Nadal in 2009; all of us that are Federer fans cried with him on that night. He had already lost Wimbledon to Rafa, and now Rafa seemed to have a grip on him everywhere. Additionally, so many of Tennis royalty were there to see him pass Sampras. Didn't happen. It was crushing. It seemed like the end might be near. It seemed like the rivalry might become one-sided. Yet, Rafa offered hope and respect during the ceremony. Class. Little did we know, or perhaps even Roger himself, of the incredible talent in reserve that he had yet to tap. Even more incredible, little did we know Djokovic would also be joining this era. What a treat we've enjoyed. It's not over. That in itself is incredible after everything we've witnessed and marveled at.
