There is a known issue with these engines . The timing belt runs in the engine oil and can deteriorate with time causing catastrophic engine problems . Just google to find out more. If you get this car my advice is to change the engine oil every five to seven thousand miles . Inspect the belt ( easily done ) regularly.
no not anymore only the older models from 2014 etc nog these its fixed i run a 2016 308 1.2 litre checked the belt after 77k km no issues yet all good so 8 years old

They changed the material of the belt in recent years so that the material cracks instead of frays, therefore it doesn’t clog up the engine.
