This is why even kickers need to take park in some tackle drills.
what kinda park to they need to take though...i mean you can walk through the park and you can jog in the park...you can picnic in the park...or you can just put the car in park....i dont know how that helps a kicker.
they teach kickers to be the LAST line of defense and go for the legs. Not to run full speed past your team and run head first into a guy

While I agree with the spirit of what AJ is saying (unless you hurt your legs and can’t walk, walk yourself off the field), DO NOT MOVE IF YOU THINK HURT YOUR NECK BAD ON A TACKLE. Moving with a broken neck is very dangerous, it is why the EMTs stabilize someone’s whole body on the stretcher if they hurt their neck. Dude is lucky he didn’t paralyze himself when he stretched his neck side to side while running off.
Kurt Angle won a gold medal in the Olympics with a broken neck.

He didn’t know he broke his neck til they did a MRI on him. He did note he a a tingling feeling going down his left arm that got worse as th game went. He played the entire game, including a kickoff afterward where he tried to kill the game clock but left the Showboats with 1 second.

Love a kicker getting into it, but not neck first. Respect the spirit, not the technique. Glad hes doing good, hope he recovers. They better not remove Kickers, they are put in the most tense and exciting moments in NFL history. Bates in the UFL is been automatic, really cool to watch.

They should make the extra point a yardage based thing where you choose from a few different distances and they are worth different amounts of points. Can't be returned for a touchdown, just a pure extra point try. 1 point try, 33 yards. 2 point try, 48 yards. 3 points, 63 yards. 5 point try? 78 yards.

That why most kickers run them to the sideline and not tackle, his teammates would’ve had him, I respect it but it’s not uncommon to protect yourself as a kicker, if you want to risk a tackle go for it, but running them to the sideline is the best you can do even if no one is behind you

Sucks that he is probably feeling like he needs to prove something. He has heart but the pressure of his second game probably didn't have him thinking calmly. That injury was imo easily avoidable just went all neck no brain lol
Before making a tackle in football first you gotta know what way your gonna tackle, cuz depending on the way you hit the other guy you can lose big, you gotta hit him with your shoulder cuz the shoulder can support the impact, when you hit someone with your head on high speed you gotta take care of your neck cuz it can twist and break

Man, I swear things like this happen to me, everything can be going great and then something has to happen to stop it in it's tracks.
I feel for Deestroying he's put his heart and soul into making his way into professional football & then this happens. Let's pray for a speedy recovery and I hope he can get back out there as soon as he's fit & well.
I'm English and I've been into American Football for probably the past 5 years Dee is the reason I got into watching it and I wish I would have took notice of the game when I was younger because it's an amazing sport once you pick it up, I've got a 7 year old lad and Wilson sent me some footballs over, I asked them for a recommendation of a decent football to start off playing with and they sent 3 over free of charge one is a GST, my son and I just go and play some catch over the field and he loves it, plus I get some quality bonding time with my lad. So yeah really all of this is because I subbed to Dees channel and found a passion for a game I didn't give a chance in my youth.

So definitely happy it turned out out to be what is… good friend of my I played ball with in High school did a similar tackle and is paralyzed shoulders down so definitely thankful that didn’t turn out that way…. Again any sport isn’t dangerous if your taught the right form to what you do from adolescent to adulthood… be save everyone!!

Bro is 27 and tackles like a 12 year old. College football players and NFL players tackle with their heads all the time but they have also been playing football nonstop for forever and their bodies are conditioned for it.
It’s the same reason professional boxers can take grueling punches and hits to the head over and over again. They literally train their neck so they are conditioned for hits like that.

Deestroying has earned my respect to the game of Football.
I just learned about this today and it truly breaks my heart considering what it took for Deestroying to get this opportunity.
( even beating a really good punter to earn the spot on the roster from what was mentioned about the Brahmas roster before the season started. )
I can't help but think of what happened to Bo Jackson and how his football career just suddenly came to an end
just from a simple looking tackle play.
Along with the "what ifs" if Bo Jackson was able to remain healthy and have along fruitful NFL career at that time.
I wish Deestroying a very fast recovery and what he decides to do going forward from this with his career in football.
Here's hoping he gets to "finish his story" on his own terms.

They can change the tide of a game in a instant pinning the opponent deep near the end zone or even help win game due to a
last second field goal. Sometimes on a rare occasion they also make tackles to help conclude a play on the field.
As for the respect there are many reasons for why he has earned mine.
One of those reasons has to do with his character and the journey of what it took for him to even get the opportunity to even earn a spot in the UFL.
For those not aware Deestroying choose to forfeit his ability to play Collage Football due
to a dispute with using his NIL ( NIL= Name, Image, Likeness ) with RUclips videos..
( Keep in mind with what's happened to EA Sports Collage Video Games today for example.
With a recent court ruling EA must now get permission with using a player's likeness and the athlete be paid for there use. )
After making the choice of forfeiting Collage Football he went on continuing to use his influence with making RUclips Videos earning
a phenomenal amount of viewers.
Later on Deestroying would go on to make these football contest videos allowing athletes to showcase
an opportunity.
One of those showcased in these videos would be Wide Receiver Jahcour Pearson ( aka Peezyy ) .
As a result of these videos it would help Jahcour earn a spot in the 2023 XFL season to play XFL Seattle Sea Dragons.
Deestroying was also involved in another influential way in the XFL 2023 season by making guest appearances as the season progressed.
When it came time for the sudden merger of the UFL he had a chance to try out. He made it.
He even beat a really good punter that surprised many just for him to earn his roster spot
on the San Antonio Brahmas team.
In one article I read he mention that even though he has his RUclips career for him it wasn't fulfilling.
His dream was to play in Professional Football and now he was happy to have it fulfilled at last.
During an interview while on the sidelines for his first Week 1 game when asked about his preparation he said the following:
"It changed a lot. I'm a real football player now," De La Haye said. "I don't just go out to the field and film videos, so, it changed a lot. I gotta get up, practice, take care of my body. Obviously, do my thing with the team and be professional."
One of those professional things he did for his team was
making a game saving tackle that helped in the possible prevention of a returning Touchdown by the opponent.
The San Antonio Brahmas would go on to win this game.
Who knows if that might have been the same outcome
if Deestroying didn't make this tackle for his team.
Now after reading this about Deestroying and if this the first time learning these things about him
I truly hope you see why now that I will always appreciate his contribution to the sport itself.
