    Thanks for the detail
    What happens if you don't hit the corner on the downward pleat?
    Do you readjust the folds so it hits right?

    • @MrTieDye
      @MrTieDye  3 месяца назад +3

      You are welcome and yes if I do not hit the corner at the bottom of the pleat, I will back up a couple pleats and adjust them slightly ... BUT, one other thing you can do if you have a bit of a long run before the corner it to flip your tee around and start your pleat at the corner, this way you can start with the corner at the bottom and then pleat to the edge ✌️

    I have a question. I know that you get some compensation when I buy one of the tie dye products you list from Amazon. Do you get compensation if I click on one of your Amazon tie dye product links and then buy fishing tackle from Amazon instead of one of the products you have linked?

    • @MrTieDye
      @MrTieDye  3 месяца назад +1

      As far as I am aware, I only get credit if a person buys the actual product from the links I list ... but thank you for thinking of me ✌️

    How do you stop color tie dye from bleeding into the white space on the shirt?

    • @MrTieDye
      @MrTieDye  3 месяца назад

      if I want to leave some white space on a tee, or have an area that I want to leave white, I add plain or thickened water to that area as I am dyeing... I use the water like 'white dye' basically ... if you dye a tee and leave a white space that is dry, the liquid will want to spread into the dry space ... the water will help keep the dye from spreading as the whole tee will be wet ....
      if for example, I have a tee with a logo/image on it and I do not want to dye the logo/image part of the tee, I will fold the logo/image in half and then pleat around the edges, tie it off and then I tie the rest of the tee... then when I am ready to dye the tee, I will add water to the image area, then I will wrap it with plastic, or bag that part of the tee... then I dye the rest of the tee... then when I am batching, I make sure the white part of the tee is raised a bit so gravity does not allow the dye to spread into the white space I left ... I hope this makes sense ✌️

    Do you ever make a shirt that doesn’t turn out the way you wanted it to?

    • @MrTieDye
      @MrTieDye  2 месяца назад

      yes that happens now and then ... sometimes it is due to a mis fold, or dye dripping where I do not want it, or just the internal flow of dye through the fabric .... but with this fluid art I have learned to take the 'unexpected' results as the Universe putting its mark on my work ... so I just kinda go with the flow of things
      but there are times that I will take a tee that did not turn out as expected and soak it and then tie it back up, very tightly with sinew, and then over dye it with black ... then the bits of the tee that are under the sinew will not take dye... so when you open it up, those colors shine through the black ...
      here is my Over Dye video : ruclips.net/video/CPI_23w6JkY/видео.html
