Simon is my all time favorite bass player so many beautiful bass lines that he produced over and over again, Cure would never be the same without him. And your playing is basically perfect, any plans to play Faith full live Reflections ?
Yep, Simon's contribution is underrated (actually I don't like this word at all). It took me a few years until I realised this in the early 90ies. Had an "open minded" moment and listened to Disintegration. Suddenly I heard the Bass like an isolated track. Wow! What an experience.
Great covers! I may have some Simon Gallup gold for you? I have a current very close up photo of his pedals… Live it’s a blend of dry signal and effects from his amp split via a Lehle pedal…
Okay so Peter Hook and Simon Gallup are my favorite bassists of all time. I reference them all the time, and playing their bass lines feels so right. I’m in the market for a new bass, and I want a j bass or p bass. Which do i do?
There are some tracks that would sound amazing if you played along with live versions where guitars replace the keyboard (2008-2012). Especially Paris 2008.
Was curious about Bloodflowers and the mixed reception from fans, I’m not a musician but it seems the other albums the bass is everywhere front and center, often opening songs. Doesn’t seem so with the BF album, what are your thoughts?l
@@VincureR unfortunately on none of my three basses (Rickenbacker 4003 Jetglo, Thunderbird Bass IV, Squier by Fender Jazzbass Standard Series) can I play Homesick in DADG tuning because they only have 20 frets. For this reason I must tune as follows: DADA. You are lucky to have the Schecter Simon Gallup Signature bass because it has 22 frets. For this same reason, Simon changes to a Music Man Stingray (21 frets) to play the song Homesick, because the Eccleshall bass only has 20 frets.
in the spirit of Simon Gallup, great bassist
Amazing Jobs the bass Guitar the Song disintegration Is fantastic 👏👏👏🎸🎸🎸🌃🌃🌃
Definitely a masterpiece as far as albums go. Amazing cover! Thanks for sharing. :)🍻
Amazing job 👏👏👏
From one Cure cover-er to another, I salute you. Fantastic work
@@RockBassoholic thank you mate
I were straight to Pictures of You and I was amazed. I really do. It's perfect for me. Congrats. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
The last dance bass line 😍
Not much time to get from that C to F# on ‘Disintegration’
Great job all around on my all time favorite album. Cheers.

This is such a good idea and an awesome tribute! I'd love to do one of my own at some point

Thanks, buddy. It's time to learn this song. Song has a mesmerizing feeling.
Super. Congratulations.

Well done mate
I'm very impressed! I honestly thought Simon used a six string, but I guess not.
very good
Easily up there with the greatest albums of all time, in my top ten anyway.
Great work!!
Bravissimo! Grazie!

T’assures a max👍
Great
🙏
Love your tone! May I ask what amp, pedals or software you’re using?
What’s the model of the Gibson Bass ?? Also what year is the bass ???
totally awesome !!!! which of the bass guitars do you prefer?
Well, it depends on what i'm going to play...
Amazing!
Homesick in your opinion is the most complex and difficult bass line to play?
Yes it is: not for the song in itself, but for the different parts of it!
In other words...it’s not difficult to play but difficult to remember 😜
Very impressive. What effects are you using for Plainsong?
😉👍
Mate Amazing! Are These all Standard Tuning?
Thank you friend. Yes, all standard tuning (EADG) except for Homesick (DADG)
✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
Great!!! What is the tuning of the bass in homesick?
Thanks. The tuning is DADG
@@VincureR great!! Thank You and Long Life to Simón Gallup 👈🏻😎

What model is your gibson?
Eb-2...but not all the parts of it are original
Impressive! May i ask what bass are you using? Sound very good
For this video I used a Gibson EB2 and a Simon Gallup signature Schecter Ultra spitfire bass.
@@VincureR thank you
Немного атаки не хватает, а так всё клёво!

False, in the studio song, the opening guitar riff of the Plainsong song is with Robert Smith's Fender Bass VI
No need to answer … 🤦🏻♂️
