I’m going through a depressive episode. They last about a month or so and I’ve been binge listening to this on loop for weeks now. It helps tune out my mind so thanks for this edit, it’s the most relatable one I ever found.
Rick is one of those characters you might hate in the beginning for being such an as*hole, but the longer the shows goes on the more you see that he's just a lonely broken man, and you just pity him (or relate to him)

It's crazy and sad how our Rick's real Beth and Diana was killed and died very young, he never had real grandkids either so he went to live with alternate universes where they exist, he's the smartest man in the galaxy but still chooses to go live in a average home with a family he really wanted. Really show rick loves them but tries not show it because they really aren't his real family but what I love is he's sticking with the current one because he's really grown to liking them and he also said its a pain in the ass looking for another place to start all over lol.

The reason why the rick we know is the most dangerous is only why he is so sad deep inside
He cares for something, his family which is why he’s the most dangerous rick out there
If he didn’t care of anything he would be unstoppable because all the ricks are technically invincible but almost none of them are willing to do anything that don’t profit them, rick C137 is capable of destroying everything to save his family
But he is so above everyone else that it becomes sad for him to feel so misunderstood
Considering he imploded the galactic government only AFTER they got his family involved, I can see it

This compilation is even more sad considering that our rick's original family died he never got to watch Beth grow up nor have any children so for rick to hear Beth crying and say " so he won't leave me again" is so heartbreaking cause he would have been the only rick out of the entire multiverse who would have stuck by his family.

It's a tragedy :( I literally dropped tears when i watched the last episode. The scenes where he cries for a baby morty, where he switches the tubes of clone beth with real beth and saying over and over "i'm a terrible father", sacrificing himself by giving his own collar to morty, turning himself in to the galactic federation, feeling so sad when birdperson dies and even tries to get him back in BP's mind... All this time, these scenes didn't make any sense for a drunk old guy who cares for nothing but now it does. He's going back and forth between "they're not my family" and "they are my family". What a tragedy...

It takes courage to face these things head-on, you are to be commended here for taking the time to do so! :) I agree, we can't fix anyone else (not really). We can only change ourselves when we allow ourselves to. We can be there for people but ultimately they have to be the ones who want to change.
