No wonder Madrid was recordholder in metro construction in the early 2000s. Basically the newer stations look all the same. They should have made an effort to at least have colour variations 😜😁😇
There are a number of different wall colors, but light blue is used quite often. I don't know if there's any logic to the coloring, at least I can't see any system in it... 🤔 Here is a list of all the different wall colors that I could tell apart: 🤓 white yellow pastel yellow orange light blue light green turquoise tomato red red (-> Mar de Cristal) rainbow-colored (-> Chueca) (it's hard to tell, but there could even be some different shades of light blue! 😮)

It's also because of Madrid's relatively soft soil that allows for easier tunnel boring.
