This circular line outside the municipality of Madrid is not crowded but it is in operation. The geological surveys were not wrong as for the 7B Metroeste line which, due to land subsidence, is almost entirely out of service and has led to the demolition of several buildings.
I was hoping that I would be able to complete all the metro stations in Madrid on my next visit, but I read that the last few stations on line 7B may never be reopened because of the problems you mentioned... 😕
