"It's the best lobster roll I've ever had." It's obviously not that good if it lost Food Wars.

As a native New Englander who grew up in NH and Maine all this "best lobster roll in Maine" crap gets really annoying. Cooking lobster isn't rocket science. It's not splitting the atom! Any idiot can figure out how to cook lobster and make it taste good after cooking it a few times. The truth is there are many places in Maine with great lobster rolls but if you're running a restaurant in Maine and you're on TV bragging about how your lobster roll is the best in the state because you're doing something that no one else does, then 1. you're lying and you know you are 2. that makes me not want to come and dine at your restaurant.

I sometimes use imitation crab meat with melted butter. I've walked into a drinking joint and saw lobster roll advertised. I asked if they do it w/o mayo. They said they have a premade sauce that contains mayo. I walked out.

Lobster tails are tough? Man I've heard a lot of lies in my life but none bigger than this

store bought buns, no tail because he buys the cheaper 'claws only' that's not nearly as fresh, and he lies saying there are two lobsters per roll. And no butter. And he uses hard shells which everyone knows are taste inferior, but cheaper. Slam dunked by the clam shack.

ide pick the lobster shack for the simple reason as that i dont like someones bare hands all over lobster meat before i eat it-- that just looks so unhygenic to me.

First of all really did you have to use such language and second its a health department violation here in the tri state area..Third are you in the food business. i'm guessing since you say Americans you may not have grown up here..

Juan Rodriguez i cringe when i watched that guy mixing the lobster, putting it in the buns, all with his bare hands. as much as i crave this food evertime i watch it this as most maritimers do-- ide go across the street to the clam shack.. HANDS DOWN
