You'll need something to tone break them. Most tracking systems have a tone feature now. If yours don't look into getting one that does or a E collar system that has a tone. Once you have that, you want to train them individually. Put the collar on them and take them for a walk in a fenced in area or in a pen. Tell them to come to you, and press the tone button the same time. If they come to you praise them up real big. If not you will need to find a real long rope, about 25 to 50 ft. Tie one end to their collar, you hold the other. Take them for a walk, as they walk away (20 ft or more) press tone and say come. If they don't keep pressing tone and gentle pull them to you, then praise real big when they get there. Repeat these processes many times until you can get them to come without a rope and from farther away each time. This process takes awhile so be patient and dedicated
Do you see a problem with starting 9 week old puppies in the woods and walking them through and letting them do there thing without starting them on game?
Ive took my little 10 week old pup out every single day for the last ten days since I got him walking thru the woods, in some way or another. He keeping up like he's built for it. And it seems like he took right to the lead too. He don't fight or gotta pull him or nothing yet. Hopefully if I keep walking him with it he'll stay like that. I cannot stand a dog that's dragging your arm off thru the woods
I am having trouble my other dog wants to pull all the time when you are trying to walk out of the woods they drag you all over the place how can I stop that
I leash train probably 5 dogs a week, and I'm always looking at how different people do it. I always wondered how houndsmen do it. I have dogs that can do an AKC competition heel (no nose on the ground at any time and on the left side). I guess you wouldn't want that in a hound necessarily.
No not necessarily actual i break mine for no lead needed, I get mine to walk out of the woods without lead cause leading a dog thru thickers is aggravating. Only time i use lead is if i get near roads
How old is Tuff in this training session? I just got two awesome looking blue English pups, brothers, they only 9 weeks now, but was wondering what age I should let em get before starting there leash, load, and obedience training? I know I’ll have to single em out and work one at a time taking turns with them. Gonna be some work! Lol
Either use a training collar like the Mooks martingale like we sell on our website www.nitelifekennel.com or use a small switch to pop (not beat or abuse) your pup either on the nose or under the belly as they pull. Pop them and say back. After a few times thry will start to learn. Takes a few sessions
@@NITELIFEKENNEL thank, been working her and her brother ( my wifes dog) seperate, but these are my first to train from pups, seems B&T hounds take a little more time and patience
I have a 6-month-old redbone mix redbone and Walker how do I stop him from hauling all through the night.

Videos pretty good considering. Puppies are hard to deal with an film at the same time so I give you credit for that

Get you an e collar and stimulate when it pulls.
I really enjoyed the tips and video.
Beautiful pup! Love the full black mask.
Thank you

How do you introduce your dogs to gunfire? I’ve seen a few waterfowl dogs ruined by early shotgun fire
I start with a low power bb gun at a distance when young
Hi to you both...good job...
