- My very first video was about Kim Ah Joong, but as it was my first one, I missed out on a lot of information. So here I will be telling it all, with the addition of news that came out of her new drama that she may be in.

Whatever her decision....I have missed her comedic ability on the big screen. She was great in movie with Kim Nam Gil.
And it seems she refuses to age like a human being. True proof she is a goddess in disguise.
I think that she is an underrated actress in Korea. She should deserve to be the top 10 ranked actress by her great performance of singing and acting. I did share some videos of her performance on my RUclips channel.
AhJoong is funny, intelligent and a good actress with a kind heart. She doesn't seem to fall into the mold the industry would like. But she is great in what she does. She isn't married because everything is so expensive despite you having the right education. A home, car and getting a job that makes decent money has lead Korea to have one of the lowest birth rates in the world. People can't afford to get marry, exist with a partner and children. Ah Joint continue to do what you are doing and live well.
This leaves out that after 200 lbs Beauty she tried to negotiate better deals due to her success and the industry blacklisted her unofficially in retaliation. That’s why she didn’t make any shows or movies for a few years. It was well known at the time.
She didn’t do anything wrong to want better deals though? Why’d they blacklist her??

Actors and music stars in Korea are often controlled by the media companies. It’s all image and control. And this was a while back when it was probably even worse. I think these actors and singers end up making most of their money from commercial endorsements. The pay they get from music, tv, or movies itself is not all that much. Hollywood was not that much different in the beginning. A lot of really famous and glamorous actors were paid like salaried employees.

she has been actively participate and attend siwff (seoul international woman film festival) every year. on 2022 she also appeared as cameo on behind every stars, then last year she signed with plum a&c after parted ways with ace factory. there was a rumor about her get offered to play role as a instructor on a drama called "war of daechidong's number 1", agency confirmed that she currently reviewing it along with other scripts.
i remember she once said in a interview that female actors often caught in limited potrayals in terms of motherhood, loves, emotions, and other aspect that assigned to women. that it is so rare to find a works where its focus only on the women character and her goal which is in the end, make viewers judging the female character. i think this statement make her choose her works wisely
as far as i know, she actually got many offers to join these dramas but she declined it, such as another miss oh (seo hyunjin), criminal minds (moon chaewon), and one the woman (lee honey)
she got good reaction both from korean and international viewers when she guested on unexpected business 3, i hope this will lead her get more works this year

She sounds like an AMAZING WOMAN. I believe that the roles and responsibilities she carries out are just part of being a GREAT PERSON vs. FEMINIST. I pray she’ll have an abundance of more success because she’s a true role model.

I just watched again the Rom/Com Series "The Accidental Couple". This is my go-to series whenever I am feeling down, it is very heartwarming and have a few life lessons also. Kim Ah-Joong is very good in this series. Hope to see her more!
Omg! Finally someone watched and like Accidental Couple! That drama needs more recognition. It’s one of my favorite kdrama. Love the moral message and warm atmosphere. Love the characters, especially Gu Dong Baek (if I’m not mistaken). He isn’t your typical good looking young chaebol MC. But he has golden heart! He gave me so much positivity. I learned humility. Such a great character.

This was an interesting video, but it did leave out as some people to associated the fact that she was actually blacklisted after she basically became really popular from the 200 pound beauty and he tried to negotiate better deals for herself. On top of that it does have to do with ageism. I feel like people forget that we’ve had so many actresses, models and idols, and K-pop, and the creek industry that have basically been forced to retire or take on very niche rolls when it comes to acting because for whatever reason they have something against women aging and it’s very much so a sexist and ageism thing because we’ve seen men who are significantly old still getting really good roles and dramas and movies, and even be able to still continue on their careers and no one back in. I added it, but they genuinely act as if women expire after the age of 25..
I have watched her in many dramas and just recently the show Unexpected Business 3 in california. She looks very sweet. She has good chemistry with Park Byung eum. She should go and star in more dramas and movies.

From her filmography, we can see that she played in movie that doesnt downgrade woman’s image in society in fact she was called “Darling Feministar” in Korean Cinema.
That’s why she rarely appear in movie/drama.
Plus, she got many offer to star in drama a long time ago but declined because clash of schedule

Not an army, but the company and managers didn't notify him about it while he was busy with tours. He paid in full as soon as he found out. Jimin shouldn’t have been fully dependent on his managers about his personal managements but at the end it wasn’t his fault.

Maria was released 1999 by Blondie. It was a massive hit back then. The movie was released 2006 so Its not originally hers so how did it became her song? It became popular only in SK, coz its already popular worldwide.
No, is never mentioned it is her single or created by her. In the drama, she sings old songs, besides new ones, so Maria is just a korean version of the original song. Everyone in the wolrd knows this song. Maria is not the only old song she sings in the drama, but because it hecame popular (this korean remake of the song) they decided to release this version under her name. But she is not credited as the creator of the song of course, is just a remake version

The real reason is her age. Korean casting is disposable. They put younger actors/actresses and it’s hard for any actors to survive in the harsh and toxic Korean industry. I love the older actors but hardly see them in anything anymore. They’re replaced with idols who are younger and horrible actors.
Kim Ahjoong was the lead of a Disney+ drama just recently. She's been working steadily and has been working and releasing dramas and movies almost every year, something that only few top stars her age do. She's also positively considering a drama for ENA this year.

That's sad! Just found out about her today. Same thing happened to my daughter who has it all to be a big star on TV, movie and recording industry. But her husband who is also a wanna be actor/singer stopped her from pursuing her career after they got married. She's a stay at home mom now.
