Camelbak products are incredibly reliable. I have never had anything break on them. The company even replaced a lost bladder lid for free! Great review!
If you ever got one of these you are lucky. I commented on this video 6 years ago and after thousands of miles of day hikes & camping trips I still use my 24. I can’t kill this thing.
Hi Tom , I know I haven't been here in a while Had another heart 2 weeks ago but thank God I'm still here and you for posting such good videos take cae and God bless you and yours,, paulie
Thanks for the great review, Tom. I just picked this pack up for a hike I'm doing tomorrow and needed a quick orientation of the features. Your review did the trick! I'm sure it will serve me well tomorrow.
Happy to help! Its still my go to bag for day hikes and quick overnight trips. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great review, Tom! We're glad you liked the Fourteener! It's nice to see the items you pack. Very helpful to us.
I picked one up on clearance this week. Great for a bug out bag and something I can keep packed in the car if I get stranded somewhere. I know your review is very dated (two years ago) but it helped me in making my decision.
Thanks Paulie! I hope your feeling better! Thanks for taking the time to watch! Take care! Tom
Looks really nice! Like the capacity of this pack! Will have to go and check it out at the store! Thnx for the Show&Tell.
You do a great review. Good description, explanation and visuals. I have this pack and have been considering the Fourteener 24 and wish I could get a video review as good as yours here on the original Fourteener. Happy trails!
Thank you & Thanks for watching!
Great review Tom! Nice looking pack. I like that the back of it has the venting. That really helpes with the sweat. You and I have the same headlight! :-)
Take care my friend!
Nice vid , looking forward too the next review
Thank you Sara! I appreciate you watching!
I'm a Boy Scout and i was looking for a camelbak backpack i was choosing between the fourteener 24 and the rim runner and this is the one i decedid and this video helped a lot.
Yes I think its possible with Light weight summer gear. Yes the N.V.I.S. (EVA injected foam pods) Insulate the water from your back. But the ridges in the foam Lets air pass through for great ventilation for your back. Thanks for watching Allen
Thanks so much Tito! Take care my friend! Tom
Wonderful Review Tom. That looks like a sweet little pack,, : o)
Thanks Jim!
Thanks brother!! Glad you liked it my friend! Take care.....:)
Hey Matt, The venting really works well.Even with just a little breeze I could feel the wind on my back. That head light rocks huh! Thanks for watching Matt! Take care buddy!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm looking forward to many more Miles with this one. I'm certain I could slip my bivey and down quilt in the pack to get a quick over nighter as well. Take care! Tom
Thanks so much! For me the Capacity of the pack is near perfect for I like to bring. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much!!
Great review
Hey Tom, Nice pack! I like it!..
Thanks! & Thanks for watching!
I got a fourteener 24 for Xmas and I really like it. It's perfect for short camping trips and has served me well on some very long day hikes. The only thing I dislike is the lack of stow bands for the compression straps. I hate hiking around with "Irish pennants." I don't know why they're not included since they have them on the waist belt. If that were addressed I would consider it the perfect all around back pack
Great insight! Thanks for the comment!
do you think it possible to do an over night with it? and is there an insulation between your back and the water also?
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review. Do you think 15" laptop can be fitted in the bag?
I think it will but I don't have a 15" laptop to use and be sure. Thanks for watching!
Nice Pack
That was a Mont-Bell Down jacket! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video bro. Question:
I'm a size 44 waist. Do you think this bag will go around my waist? What size do u wear is it a tight fit on the hips?
I was a 38 at the time and it was close. I think a 40 would be about it but Im not sure.
Thank you
Can the supporting panels be removed?
nice day pack
How well does it work for stormy weather
It has worked well for me. But I line the pack with a trash compactor bag to keep everything dry.
+TomsBackwoods do u know of any good waterproof bags?
Oh man that's a bitchin' pack bro :o)))) I gotta' check it out! Great review man :o)
