I have visited many many times and still say that The Rose Theater is the most beautiful build in Second Life. The design and layout are wondrously beautiful, and the texturing is awe inspiring. This is a must see location for anyone in SL.

I was just visiting today and couldn't get thru it all. I am so amazed at the details and beauty. I was respectful, and avoided the rooms that were private. But still so much to see and take in. It is beautiful!! The grounds were amazing also.

It's November 2017 and I still find these films inspiring as a designer and artist in Second Life and for me personally, they are a great reminder that the higher calling of any virtual world is to build your dreams and be able to walk through the dreams of others.
I'm twice as impressed knowing how much work went into this. Extraordinary detail! As I'm learning to build in SL, I'm grateful for this awe inspiring work.
This piece of virtual architecture is absolutely stunning. The shapes, statues, and architectural features seem so true to the real world that one could easily find themselves completely immersed in the environment. The textures are amazing as well. This was obviously the work of seasoned professionals. I'm not sure if it's too late to get an answer from the person who posted this, but I'll go ahead and ask anyway. How many people worked on this project?
Wow! Only just had a chance to watch this video from 2012?? A remarkable masterpiece that has me asking so many questions. SL should have let you keep this one on SL for free as a beautiful example of what is possible if you look beyond those things you mentioned. I would loved to have seen some videos of how you went about it, especially the textures. It is staggeringly beautiful.

When I first came into Second Life was inspired by many people through what they created in this enviroment. It's so important to be reminded that we have been given a wonderful freedom of expression through Linden Labs Second Life and I would love to see more people exploring their creative spirit by using Second Life in this way. SL has many beautiful locations, not least the Calas Galadhon garden complex, but The Rose Theatre is really something else, it's one of the most achingly beautiful places in SL. The work that must have gone into creating it shows in every tiny detail. It's a true work of art and more people should visit it.
I am speechless. Wow. You are the Michael Angelo of the virtual worlds. ¡ What artist ! . I like the carved wood. This is a lot better that Minecraft :-). We share aestetic art ideas, but I dont have the knowledge , time and money to pay rents in S.L. But your work has inspired me to search Twinity limits. Greetings from Spain.
This build was incredible and a real treat to see it in this video and even more so to wander through it. The attention to detail and stellar texture work made me pretty speechless. It is a true shame that the vast majority of the SL population congregates where they do, when once you scratch the surface of the virtual world you can find some jaw-dropping creations like yours. I can only try and appreciate the effort creativity that went into this. This is a true inspiration, please keep it up.

Yes it did take a lot of time to build this, but I think its really worth the time and money to help people see the importance of building something from the heart. great video of a fantastic place. thanks for the video. Please try to export the sim so you can keep it forever. In sl things get lost forever when you stop paying the enourmous monthly fees. Bring the whole thing to opensim and you can store, backup and rebuild forever more at no costs.

Yes most of SL is a bit of a mess. Its hard for me to leave my sims as I just want to fix all the textures when I go out onto the grid. Thank you for your comments it really does mean a lot that you have taken the time to share that!

This is a beautiful build. How much of it is mesh?
About 40% is mesh. Areas regularly get updated and improved and new areas are all mesh now.

What's the prim weight on this build? It has to be enormous. Incredible job.
The estate spans 9 sims at the moment. 3 full sims and 6 homesteads
how much did it cost in textures alone?
