Nobody. Nobody has ever said The Bee Gees cannot sing. Many do not like their music, but they certainly can sing.
The dislike for their music comes mainly from the oversaturation of Disco music on the radio in the late 70s, with the Bee Gees being a main player in that oversaturation. By the time Disco finally faded out in 1980-81, the Bee Gees left a bad taste in peoples' mouths that took decades to overcome.
@@centuryrox I feel like they were AUTOMATICALLY dismissed by some people JUST because it was Disco. But if you listened with an open mind you'd have to appreciate their talent.
When I was in school, Rock ruled and it just wasn't cool to say you liked a Bee Gees song. It was stupid.
@@centuryrox I never heard of that but for me disco wasn’t my thing. I was seeing Stevie Ray Vaughan around town here in Austin and disco was a scene I didn’t care for. I do like some songs from then.
@@centuryrox I cannot believe that people still thing about Bee Gees as a disco band (in general i mean - when they hear about it), when it was like a 5 year period from a 40 year career, spanning Rock and Roll, Disco, Jazz, Soul, Beat, Psychedelic pop, Psychedelic rock, art rock, baroque pop, Folk rock, country folk, Symphonic rock, Pop rock, acoustic rock, country rock, R&B, funk rock, new wave, dance, synth pop, adult contemporary, dance-pop, dance-rock, new jack swing, Contemporary R&B, Europop - and no I haven't repeated any of them. Still can't believe that people when they hear Bee Gees, think disco.... LOL
@@rapidprimus I couldn't agree more. The BeeGees career basically spanned three periods with fairly fallow periods in between. There was the late 60s, the late 70s/early 80s and the late 80s. They were the first band to have a UK #1 in three different decades. In their less popular (fallow) periods they wrote and produced songs for many other artists. Barbara Streisand (Woman In Love), Dione Warwick (Heartbreaker), Diana Ross (Chain Reaction) and Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton (Islands In The Stream) to name but a few.
Many people think the BeeGees were just a disco group. But they started singing together in 1958. They have an incredible music catalog. They've written 100's of songs for themselves as well as many other artists. And they wrote them all without being able to read music. Dive into the rabbit hole. You won't be sorry.
You guys NEED to listen to the entire Saturday Night Fever soundtrack AND see the movie!!! Starring a very young John Travolta-😝💖💙
That soundtrack is packed with nothing but hits and definitely in my top 3 of best soundtracks
@@mandmreactions2589 yessssss! Absolutely agree!😃
There is not a better group that has ever been. They are true entainers. They have written all their music. Great harmonies. I love the Bee Gees have listened to them for many years. You two are great reactors!! Some great songs... To love Somebody...You should be dancing... Tragedy...Nights on Broadway...Night Fever... How do you Mend a Broken Heart...so so many

The Beatles will always be the best, but I respect your opinion.
The BeeGees are great, but there have been better bands and groups. They are one of many tho.
The lyrics really resonate with me. 💙 "...Cause we're living in a world of fools, breakin' us down, when they all should let us be. We belong to you and me." Probably a lot of babies were made with this song. 😂
I grew up with The Bee Gees… “Saturday night fever “.. anyone ?🌈🕺🏼💃🏼
Oh yes! Still have my album of SNF :)
Yep, I remember trying to dance like John Travolta lol.
The Bee Gees are harmony perfection!!!
absolutely no one every said they couldn't sing...LEGENDS
Played in the last scene of Saturday Night Fever. Captured the ending perfectly…..
You guys would totally dig EVERY song from the Saturday Night Fever album !!!!
The Brothers Gibb have always been and will always be🔥!
Justin Timerlakes SNL skits “The Barry Gibb Talk Show” are my favorite of all time
Hilarious!!! They would be ☠️ laughing
@@justjudijjb3455 “Talking bout chest hair. Talking bout crazy cool medallions” 😂
@@JMNihon I laugh just thinking about it 😂
Bee Gees were so talented. Feel for Barry being the last brother standing. They wrote so many songs including tracks for artists like Diana Ross ( Chain Reaction ).
Got to check out ' You Win Again '
I agree, I also feel bad for Barry for losing his brothers when all 3 were young. On the bright side Barry’s only sister ( Leslie ) who is the oldest is still a live. 😊❤
Lesley not Leslie - Lesley Gibb Evans. 😊
I cannot take the loudness of the stomping in You Win Again. That's my least fave of all and I love the BeeGees... except for that song!😂
I'm 57 yrs old and grew up in the 70's and 80's, we had the best freaking music ever!!!
Following for more BeeGees!
Maybe try “You Should be Dancing” 1976 or “Night’s on Broadway” (live on the Midnight Special). I think you’ll like those videos.
You'll love "Jive talkin'" one of their many hits.
Mo’s bass is sick. Love that song
I think that's my fave. You can't not move to that song.
totally agree!!!
"Dude" from the movie....Kris Kristofferson ?
The Bee Gees started in the late 50s as kids. I don't know if you knew they were brothers. Barry is the oldest, the lead singer, the other two, Maurice the shortest one and Robin were twins. They had a younger brother Andy who was a great singer too. The only surviving Bee Gee is Barry the oldest. 😔🤗🤔😎 They were more Rock and Roll in the 60s and early 70s and then disco came along and it was off to the races! 🤔😎
Words, Night Fever, Stayin Alive, Massachusetts, there are too many to name!
They started out in 1958. They hold the record for 6 number one songs at the same time. The have also written and produced for many other artists. A true gift to music.
This song is so beautiful. The Gibb brothers were legit.
I love love love the Bee Gees! When we first heard it when we saw Saturday Night Fever at the drive in, next day we collected them bottles. Cashed them bottles in for deposits, the we ran, and bought the album (movie sound track). We got home and listened to it what seemed like a million times. The lyrics about "a summer breeze" are great lyrics. Now my sister, and I argued ALOT back then because she swore the lyrics were "and you come to me on a sub marine" I said come now what tf is a submarine doing on the streets of New York?? She sang it that way for years until she finally read the lyrics. Still, sometime she do it to get a rise outta me....lolol Being a Young girl in the 70s was amazing! The music made it amazing! FR!
Peace, stay safe, blessings
YOU SHOULD BE DANCING NEXT!!
TRY WATCHING IT WITHOUT MOVING😅🔥💯
To much Heaven is the Bee Gees best. All their music is amazing but To much Heaven is a different level. I loved being in my 20s when they were at the top. You didn't go to a club that didn't have them on the Jukebox in between sessions. 💘💘💘
IMHO the greatest compilation of music, singing, writing and performing. The Brothers Gibb were so talented. Love me some Bee Gees
Tragedy and Night Fever were always my faves by them! I`ve been listening to them since I was 9 and playing them on my little white record player. Always loved them and Andy! Keep On Rockin`
Tragedy is the best!❤❤❤ Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fun Fact: Barry Gibb wrote the theme song to Grease.
Bee Gees. Too much Heaven. Their best song. I think. ❤️
Tragedy?
without question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The BeeGees have been around for forever!!! I’m 57, and have been hearing songs from them since I was a little girl and my Mama listened to AM radio. By the way, first time watcher, and I must say, y’all are just so lovely together. I’ll be subscribing.
THE BEE GEES "I'VE JUST GOTTA GET A MESSAGE TO YOU" & "I STARTED A JOKE"
I grew up on those oldies thanks to my mom's impeccable taste in music. We would sit in the living room floor right in front of the huge stereo speakers & play albums & sing along. Great memories. Thanks mom 💜
The first established “Boy Band”. But better… Brothers for life. They could sing and made great music. LOVED the 70’s! Decade I was born… great 🎶❤️
The BEST singer/song writers for 60 years... EVERYONE who has had a hit has sang a Bee Gee written song! Only one left now. RIP.
I love their “Fanny Be Tender with My Love” and “You Should Be Dancing”.
Ooooooo yea!!!! One of my favorites by them ❤ this is a beautiful song! Awesome reaction by you love birds ❤
63 yo guy here and man I loved the Bee Gees since the 60's
I had no idea that you guys didn't know about the Bee Gees.
You definitely NEED to check out more of their music. You will not be disappointed! The Bee Gees are 🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!
Bee Gees are Goat's. Love them. Always have.
Bee Gees have a huge amount of tracks to listen to.
Too much heaven is a must!
Great reaction. Bee Gees is truly one of the greatest Band/Artist of all time. I cannot believe that people still thing about Bee Gees as a disco band (in general i mean - when they hear about it), when it was like a 5 year period from a 40 year career. This is all the styles they went through: Rock and Roll, Disco, Jazz, Soul, Beat, Psychedelic pop, Psychedelic rock, art rock, baroque pop, Folk rock, country folk, Symphonic rock, Pop rock, acoustic rock, country rock, R&B, funk rock, new wave, dance, synth pop, adult contemporary, dance-pop, dance-rock, new jack swing, Contemporary R&B, Europop - and no I haven't repeated any of them. Still can't believe that people when they hear Bee Gees, think disco.... LOL
bee gees love you inside out
Their song Too Much Heaven is outstanding
Yes! It looks like they are floating 😂 putting out this phenomenal singing like they're barely trying 💘
Absolutely that's my jam. Slow and distinct. Thanks
As far as I know, _no one_ has ever said they couldn't sing!
Great reaction . Nice to see what all of us already know - in spite of so much , too much !. People are people . I remember when my parents got divorced ( in the 1970's ) my Mom took it really hard , even though my Dad didn't deserve her . One day I said ' Mom , I want you to hear this song " . Stevie Wonder " All in love is fair " . She cried and cried . I don't know if it helped or made things worse , but from that day on she she loves Stevie . I had some rough days back when I was in my 20's . I think Stevie W. saved my life , and I'm not kidding . Don't know if my comment makes sense , but it's how I feel . Peace brothers and sisters of Our world .
Too much heaven that song is just where you can hear how amazing their voices are
Yes 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Love the bee gees
I love Y’all so much. You complement each other so well that I’m always smiling when I watch Your reactions!
need to do "our love" live in Vegas 1997. sang it for their brother Andy, who omitted suicide. the whole concert is amazing
Can't recall anyone saying the BG's couldn't sing LOL . They were victims of their own success in the late 70's when they dominating the world charts with their Rnb/disco - there was a backlash from the media and radio stations.
BeeGees are Legends
Keep listening young people that’s what you call real singing and music with a meaning. ❤️❤️
Jive talkin ...more than a woman ...both great songs from them ..and you will be surprised how many other songs they wrote for other artists that you've probably heard 😊
The Bee Gees were pitch perfect even live and without auto tune. Anyone who said they couldn’t sing hasn’t heard them.
By Bee Gees:How Can You Mend A Broken Heart,Alone,Islands In The Stream (live),You Win Again,Run To Me,To Love Somebody,I've Gotta Got A Message To You,First Of May,Words,Nights On Broadway...so many beautiful songs.
Hard to believe that the group formed in 1958...
Bee Gees are the best! Beautiful voices, beautiful songs that they write themselves.
TOO MUCH HEAVEN! YOU WILL BE AMAZED!!! TRUST ME!!💖💖
Fun fact: NO ONE has written more HIT songs for themselves and OTHERS by FAR
one of the best harmonizing bands ever....ever!!
Family harmony is some of the best sounds. Love them.
BeeGees are one of my all time favorite groups. They had 9 number 1's and 6 consecutive #1s. And held the record for best selling album "Saturday Night Fever" until Thriller by that guy!🤗
Together, or individualy, theyve probably written more chart topping hits from Kemmy Rogers, Barbara Streisand, and even Paris Hilton.
Tragedy is a MUST listen to!
Guilty a duet with Barbara Streisand and Barry Gibb is absolutely beautiful.
You can hear Robin sing lead on fan favorite Massachusetts!
And for classic disco Stayin' Alive and Jive Talkin. All these were #1s. But this is a GINORMOUS rabbit hole!
I dont know how many people refer to them as Australian before this, but they are English but started their music careeers in Australia after moving there in their teens.
Great to see you guys enjoyong this and having a great time!
❤ Good Vibes!
I love their music...Beautiful sounding, I think...💯!
I just love your happy personalities and the love you both have for each other, it's so infectious. Keep doing what you're doing... I LOVE IT!!!
DeBarge vibes! Thank you for making that connection!!!
Great reaction! They have so many great songs. I suggest "More Than A Woman", "Fanny Be Tender With My Love". Love you guys. 😎
I have been listening to the BeeGees since I was 3!! I am 52 now, and these men STILL GIVE ME CHILLS!! No matter how many times you hear a song from them it always feels like the FIRST TIME!! WHAT ABSOLUTE INCOMPARABLE TALENTS FROM GOD!! We know that because their voices and their music is PURE HEAVEN!!
Love the shirts you are always on point 😀
You Should Be Dancing, Jive Talkin’, Nights on Broadway and More Than a Woman….ALL excellent tunes. Please check them out.
To watch the pure joy on your face!! There is none better... I have 57 BeeGees songs on my phone.
There are so many hits with the Bee Gees:::: For Whom the bell tows, Somebody to love, Stayin Alive, Fanny be my love!!! And many more!! Everyone of their songs will make you feel on top of the WORLD 🌍!! THANK YOU BOTH FOR BRINGING US GREAT VIBES 💝💝💝
The rabbit hole will go deep with the Bee Gees! They have hit after hit...
The movie and album "Dr peppers lonely heart club band" the Bee gees and featuring Peter Frampton is awesome!
This song rules. And I can totally see the DeBarge comparison. Now I'm gonna go listen to "Rhythm of the Night."
BeeGee's had #1 hits before those in DeBarge were even born ...lol
@@potooleftl Yes, Beegees was in 70's DeBarge in 80's where influened, had similar love songs
Bee Gees no computers and digital machines pure wholesome voices, nothing false about these guys................
They are perfect. We're an army family since '81 and I've dragged my BeeGees poster with me around the world. I just love them 😘
I have never heard anyone say they couldnt sing, clearly have the best voices and range most people cant reach . they harmonize so great and thier music is beautiful
More than a woman 🔥🔥🔥
Bee Gees are great, the best for ever
You guys should do staying alive I think Barry Gibbs sounds like Michael Jackson has all the range and maybe a little more. Yep I said that
" Where have I been? " You also said this while watching " Too Much Heaven " , another Bee Gees song. [ I just watched that video. ] It's OK, Jai. You are HERE, now. And the music has been waiting patiently waiting for you.
Switch it up and go with "Jive Talkin" or make Jai melt with "More Than A Woman"
We love your love with each other, it mirrors my husband and I's love. This is one of our songs. Another great reaction! xoxo
Stayin' Alive and More than a Woman will knock your socks off!!!
My dad loved the beetles and The Bee Gees, my dad loved, “staying alive”, “I started a joke,” & “tragedy.”
More Bee Gees PLEASE!!! I was born in the 60s & was raised listening to their early stuff before Saturday Night Fever shot them to super stardom. Their catalog is huge & full of so much beautiful music. This one is special. I'm kinda getting tears in my eyes. Y'all should check out the movie Saturday Night Fever sometime. Not a great movie but the soundtrack is amazing & John Travolta can dance his ass off!!!
Love y'all 💞💞💞💞💞
And do ya;ll even know that these men wrote the soundtrack to Saturday NIght Fever, Grease, Islands in the Stream... and many more... the BEE GEES were amazing!!!
I kid you not, I was re-alphabetizing my record collection after moving it from a different place, when I flipped to a DeBarge record just as you mentioned them. Subbed after that, that’s some kind of cosmic sign!
I still get the goosebumps when I hear the Brothers Gibb!
Keith Urban does a live version of To Love Somebody at a show dedicated to the Legendary Bee Gees…. Thank You
Have u seen the BeeGees video singing “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart”??? Yasssss
Make sure to check out Robin Gibbs as the lead singer in one of these Bee Gees songs -I Can’t See Nobody, I Started a Joke, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and more.
Great comment, Tammy- and if I could add my fave, New York Mining Disaster 1941.. short and sad but kinda sweet. Greetings from Canada- peace and be safe.
@@27thangel23 I’ll have to listen to that one. 💜
Robins best lead, in my opinion, is Massachusetts.
@@shawnsnow2655 yes! That’s a great one too.
I was a kid when I first heard The Bee Gees and they are still in my playlist.
The Bee Gee's actually started in the late 60's early 70's. Go back and listen to those tunes when their voices were young.
You'll never lose whatever song you play.
I really love your t-shirt! I also want one for my collection..
Also love the Bee Gees, one of my all time favourite's ever, they sing like Angel's!
Too much heaven , awesome! Trust me 😊❤
Do staying alive it’s something else they got swag
You need to watch their "One Night Only" concert so that you can really appreciate their Live Performance. AWESOME!!! 😊
Barry is the BEE GEE IN THE MIDDLE ,Then Maurice and Robyn , There they are The Bee Gees HUGE Super Stars
Can't miss with them. Great match Jai. (Debarge).
I love the Bee Gees. I've downloaded all of their albums, from the 60's to the 2000's. The love is serious. I have many requests Run To Me, How To Mend A Broken Heart, I Surrender, Tragedy, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Reaching Out, Love You Inside And Out etc.
In addition to all the great music that they themselves put out, they also wrote a bunch of #1 Hits for other artists back in their day.
Be sure to check out Emotions by Smantha Sang (cover done by Destiny's Child) and Heartbreaker by Dion Warrick. The Bee Gees sing the background vocals.
