I literally read this series as a teen mostly thanks to its covers 😂 and boy was it worth the buy. The times where judging a book by its cover is so worth it in the end.
@AnonforYeshua77777 It's not considered YA but I definitely would reccomend it to you even if it's not YA as the language structure is easy to understand and it flows really well.
I got a book voucher last year for my birthday with enough money to get two books. I got one and didn't know what to get for the other and saw Mistborn on the shelf remembering a few people's recommendations. It's still sitting on my bookshelf, I think it's time!
This was not my introduction to sandersons writing, which was the stormlight archive (which I binged trough in the first covid wave) but it still is my favourite magic system ever and is one of the top picks when recommending fantasybooks to friends
I finished The Hero of Ages two weeks ago and it was a masterpiece! I just got started on Era 2 and I am enjoying it! Then I’ll get started on the Stormlight Archive! ❤
Mistborn was my intro to Brandon Sanderson. 5 stars. I loved it. I love the magic system and the setting, and the description of how everything worked. You learned with the characters, you weren't told. I just bought the Well of Ascension yesterday at the used book store and I can't wait to read it. I have a feeling that I'll be getting a lot more Brandon Sanderson books. My husband finally listened to it and he also said the magic system is so cool. And that ending 💀
I read the final empire after reading the Stormlight books and I was kinda underwhelmed. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t as satisfying as the stormlight books. Are the other 2 books in the trilogy worth it
Me tooooooo!!! I can’t get myself to start The Well of Ascension because of how disappointed I was with TFE. I wish I had read it when I was a bit younger (and before reading Stormlight) because I know I would have loved it 😢
My beef is the mists. I absolutely can not stand when something comes out of no where, saves someone, then fucks off. Basically because vin had her earring in, preservation couldnt do jack shit with her her entire life. Then 95% through book 3 she takes it out (marsh, whatwver) and then all of a sudden, that magic ability that showed up before is back. And vin is godlike.
My friend finished RoW and decided to read Mistborn. I was really excited until he finished Final Empire and assured me he would get to the second book soon. After rereading the fking Wheel of Time 😅
Yes it is definitely still worth reading! There's so much interesting stuff that happens in these books, even if several things were spoiled it would still be worth reading for yourself
I will be the party crasher but Song of Sice and Fire is magnitudes better in my opinion. It is not finished, I agree, but the existing books are masterpieces and Martin's writing and storytelling is much more nuanced and intricate than Sanderson's
Me watching this after I finished mistborn ansld proceeded to begin reading the entire cosmere collection (is it a collection? A shared universe? Dunno). Yeah basically read this and then whatever else sanderson wrote
if you are a teenager, sure you might like it, but as an adult, it was literally one of the worst things ive read.....its super stiff and emotionless, and i read the first three so i have a decent idea of what it is.
It's kind of a boring story. The only fun thing was maybe learning about the magic system but that became old pretty fast. The characters have no real depth either. I guess it's an okay story but it's too overhyped that it left me feeling disappointed.
I know it's been a year but could you recommend any fantasy that you rate highly then. I'm currently reading this and I'm quite enjoying it. No lord of the rings or GOT though, I'll get to those later
Am I the only one that felt like mistborn was mid? I want to read the way of kings but everyone acts as if mistborn was so great it makes me worried that way of kings is over hyped too? Mistborn felt so formulaic and the characters felt like plot devices. Is the way of kings better?
I get that since it a short you gotta keep throwing things at the viewer to keep the user's attention but the animation was kinda wack. The editing doesn't seem to add anything to what you are saying, throws me off a bit. You can make shorts AND make the content meaningful too, hate to see this trend of channels dumbing down their content on purpose.
You had me at, "the ass covered world of..."
😂😂😂
I came here looking to see if I misheard that. 😅
LOL🤣🤣
I'm glad I'm not the only one who heard that
THAT'S ALL I HEARD LOL. "Oh, hell yeah. I'm in."
Finished Hero of Ages just the other day! What an experience. Already into Era 2 and then moving on with the rest of the Cosmere
Just finished it some minutes ago, my first fantasy book after 3 years. It is hurting so much. Had missed this feeling alot.
Gosh that feeling when you finish Hero of Ages is glorious
you guys gotta read mistborn: secret history to uncover a lot of stuff 😊 maybe after bands of mourning 🤔
I'm too late but you should definitely read the cosmere in order of publication ...
Same

The covers where what originally grabbed my attention to! So glad I read these books years ago, they were a big help in getting me back into reading
اخيرا لقيت وحده عربيه تقرا كتب براندن!!!! ماعرف حد يقراهم غير انا ورفيجتي 😭
Is this a YA fantasy?

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
I'm like 6 chapters in and it's already really sick
I’m currently reading Mistborn: The Final Empire, and I’m loving it. Can’t wait to read more Brandon Sanderson.
A year later... what do you think? Did you read The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages?
Recently purchased the Mistborn trilogy for pretty cheap. Can't wait to start it!
This was not my introduction to sandersons writing, which was the stormlight archive (which I binged trough in the first covid wave) but it still is my favourite magic system ever and is one of the top picks when recommending fantasybooks to friends

I liked era 2 better just due to the combination of powers

Can't wait for The Lost Metal to come out next week, really enjoying the sample chapters so far 😄
I'm stoked for The Lost Metal as well! I'm trying to finish up the third mistborn era 2 book right now
@@CapturedInWords that's my favourite of era 2 by some way, wait till you get to the last quarter, you're in for a wild ride.
It was my gateway to fantasy, love these books!
It was my re-entry!
I fell off the Reading wagon for a while and found the Mistborn Trilogy.
I love it.
Sanderson is the best fantasy writer in my opinion, such dense writing and unpredictable as well.
I tried many times to get into this series.... it just never hooked me in sadly. But I'm glad others can enjoy it! ^^
Dudes editing is on point
I can die for 'Hero of Ages', the reveal in this book is .......... ❤️
Just finished book one and I could NOT have loved it more!! I am DYING to get my hands on #2!
Mistborn was amazing and the stormlight is my favorite
I’ve been sitting on the Cosmere, putting it off, for a while. Once I finally dive in, I’ll be obsessed!
Oh to play Vin in a Mistborn film... 😭😭😭💖💖💖
Thanks for the recommendation!! Awaiting Doors of Stone too. Just finished the final empire today and loved it! Got the next 4 lined and ready to go.
I hated the hype of mistborn and I never read them. Now you shatter my world. It's in my tbr for 2023! Thank you 🙏
finished Mistborn: The Final Empire. Great story
Im on Well of Ascension, I love it SOO much
My favorite series! ❤
Started today with book 3. Highly recommended. I’m coming from the Stormlight series.
Sanderson is awesome!
I recommend "Elantris" too.
Hands down, best book series I've read since Harry Potter 💯
IT'S SOOO GOOD
And it will be the next Fantasy TV show's adaptation of the decade (i hope)
I read the final empire after reading the Stormlight books and I was kinda underwhelmed. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t as satisfying as the stormlight books. Are the other 2 books in the trilogy worth it

If you're on the fence about reading Mistborn or any of the Cosmere... Get off the fence and start reading!!
It was worth every single word
This was my intro to Brandon Sanderson-- and I wasn't really even a fantasy reader before Mistborn 😀
Can you make a short for the first law :-) love ya vids
Definitely!! I'll make one for First Law soon :)
I have a book hang over from Patrick Rothfuss. I've always wanted to read Mistborn but never jumped in. I think it's time.
Maybe don't put up the Allomancy chart. The most exciting thing about the first half of Book 1 is finding out each of the metals.
At least he didn't show all 16 lol
@@prestonc9059 technically, considering the addition of Lost Metal, wouldn't it be 18?
So good!
wish I could share this to my insta story

Is it worth reading if I got spoiled about some characters deaths by literally reading comments on a review of the book? (Thanks a lot to that person)
Yes it is definitely still worth reading! There's so much interesting stuff that happens in these books, even if several things were spoiled it would still be worth reading for yourself
I’m reading it right now👍👍
Awesome!! Enjoy!
Just read the first book, the final empire I think.. it was a really great book by itself but I just bought the second One
YES🔥🔥🔥
❤❤❤Mistborn❤❤❤
"Ass covered world"
*immediately goes to comments*
The what covered world??? 😳
😂
This series is peak fiction, I can’t wait to watch the movie when it releases
For the people who did read both series, which is better in your opinion, Song of ice and fire or mistborn ?
I will be the party crasher but Song of Sice and Fire is magnitudes better in my opinion. It is not finished, I agree, but the existing books are masterpieces and Martin's writing and storytelling is much more nuanced and intricate than Sanderson's

Yeah basically read this and then whatever else sanderson wrote
Just finished Era 2 + Arcanum Unbound for Mistborn and IMMEDIATELY dived into Way of Kings. Time to binge Stormlight Arcives
🎉🎉🎉 Break Books so far. On book two, .... Ascension 🎉🎉🎉
basically their like dragon slayers from fairy tail
Why is the quick reference chart wrong...ive seen like 3 videos with it and they ALL use the same one that gets zinc and brass switched
if you are a teenager, sure you might like it, but as an adult, it was literally one of the worst things ive read.....its super stiff and emotionless, and i read the first three so i have a decent idea of what it is.
Tell me the order ....and I'll start after finishing the book I'm cr
The fact that the table switched zinc and brass makes me so very angry.

Technically it’s a group of mistings not all of them are mistborn
Am I the only one that felt like mistborn was mid? I want to read the way of kings but everyone acts as if mistborn was so great it makes me worried that way of kings is over hyped too? Mistborn felt so formulaic and the characters felt like plot devices. Is the way of kings better?
Sorry guys but after Name of the wind, everything seems pretty much fillers.
nah there's other good books, NotW is dope but theres other good fantasy books, Mistborn is not one of those tho, its garbage
@@hulkamania5071what according to u are good books
I thought of reading mistborn deeies..
Should i skip it?
Did he say ass or ash.

Nerd emoji 🤓🤓
But his writing style is so bland
«He frowned» 😁
Dude you need to enunciate ash more
Ass-covered world sounds great, but somewhat impractical.
Starting The Well of Ascension today. 🫡 finished The final empire and the eleventh Metal yesterday, per your recommendation.
