Ross's character is honestly the best in Friends, and he is such a terrific actor.
Yeah....i feel he is underestimated cause he is not sweet as joey, chandler.... He is more like real life person, who sometime deals situations badly, is mature but annoying

@@lampad4549 People miss the mark a lot. Joey pretty much openly admits to using women for sex and no one thinks that’s toxic, but Ross is considered toxic for being jealous? His ex-wife cheated on him. In real life, having trust issues after being cheated on is pretty common. It’s definitely a flaw, but it’s an understandable flaw.
Everyone's like "poor Gunther" but as much as I love Gunther, you need to remember that he was the one hating Ross to begin with lol (telling Ross he didn't care about his birthday, stuff like that) so I think Ross's reaction is pretty normal hahaha

@j04370859 I mean, that was more his duty as an employee of the coffeehouse. He was defending his patrons and the bullies didn't pay for coffee yet so Chandler and Ross were in the clear.

I thought, oh for once everyone is not gonna jump on Rachel in the commentary section (boy was I wrong), because she tried hard not to ruin Ross' joy, even though she'd had a terrible day. She only cracked after he unknowingly really rubbed it in ("I can never get fired!!"), and honestly, I think most people would have.
Thank you, omg, it sucks that people are coming for Rachel in the comments when she was understandably upset about her interview/losing her job and then having Ross rub it in but even then she was trying to be happy for him and didn't do anything wrong in this scene. Ross, on the other hand, was oblivious and has never really supported her or her career so people are a bit too keen to praise him here.

You gotta love all those Gunther hopeful quips in many episodes. Especially when he asks Chandler "Do you even know my last name?" But, it's extra funny with this one, & a few others how you think he & Ross are going to connect...& he's happy with Ross, & Ross throws him shade.😂😂😂

To be honest, what employer with just a smidgen of reality sense arranges an interview in a restaurant, or any public space for that matter, where anybody can hear or see them? Although in fairness, the Ralph Lauren management were a bit too trigger-happy. If Rachel really were such a valued employee, they should've negotiated with her and try to keep her, rather than immediately throwing the (worn-out, if you ask me) "team player" card... 🙄😕
Ross is one of the sweetest friend, but the one who got hated on the most.

Like a coffee shop would allow you to drink alcohol on their premises...yes, that's what I focused on.

It was the 90’s, people used to be able to smoke at venues. Nowadays it’s a strict no no, liquor license required to serve alcohol and no smoking inside … i would say it wasn’t totally out of reality.
@@chengvang2126 It was entirely out of reality. It was a coffee shop. And even if it was licensed to serve alcohol, you can't just wander in and bring your own booze.

Your second statement is incorrect, people can BYOB in New York as long as the establishment has the license for it. And NY being NY, big metropolitan city with night life and booming businesses often with businessmen entertaining for business purposes, BYOB would not be that uncommon.
But then again this is FRIENDS, it was shot in a set in LA. Having that many white people in NYC without spotting a minority would be a dead give away if you want to talk about things out of reality.
I would have asked him to join and good for Rachel for trying to be strong for him.

I love the show-it’s my nostalgic comfort show-but every one of the Friends had the easiest, cushiest lives just sort of handed to them on a silver platter.

@@ColmPadraig she did , remember when he and Rachel came in when Monica and Chandler made dinner for Mike and Phoebe. She literally congratulated him. She also was fighting tears . I will say when I was fired from my job without warning I was in shock I couldn’t stop crying even if I wanted to.
