@@pannapozytywka8850 no, nothing bad happened. I was tender for two maybe three days. What I can say is avoid scratchy fabrics while you're healing, some tshirt fabrics will cling to your scabs. I would also say not to sleep on that side, purely for the discomfort. Don't go too small, tiny tattoos will stretch out deform a little simply because your chest is constantly moving. Other than that, sunblock. Sunblock is your best friend to keep your tattoo from fading too much. Just follow your artists' instruction on how to care for it and you should be fine. But I'm not kidding, a tattoo on your ribs hurts, the skin there is a little thinner, and it's on bone. Good luck though, I hope it works out.
"this is going to hurt a little bit..." I already know that's an understatement even though I've not yet had my first tattoo. Been through so many operations and nerve conduction tests that I KNOW how frikken painful needles are. Definitely won't ever get acupuncture, but after my next few operations I'm pondering tattoos to hide the scars. IMHO, you need to accept the pain if you want a good tattoo. No pain no gain. Unless that needle deposits the ink deep, your tat will fade and you'll end up getting a touchup down the line or just suffer a shitty washed out thingy after a decade or so...
@@amazingabby25 Acupuncture is a bad idea as it opens your skin up to infection. I've been under too many nerve tests to know that tiny thin needles in the skin does hurt. Now does it hurt as bad as say... my lower leg twisting around 180 degrees thus stretching my ACL? No... It doesn't hurt that bad. But I wonder why people think turning into an inverted porcupine will help with body ailments. It's a placebo and only works for those who have psychosomatic symptoms that believe in the magical powers of Chi. I'm a skeptic and thus, those placebos never work on peeps like me.

Amazing how easily you can tell which comments are people seeing her for the first time this video, ... and who all here knows her from Ink Master 🤣
I have tattoos and I have a lot of trust issues when I pick a tattoo artist, especially as I've been moving a lot around the world but artists like her are amazing 🥺👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Her work is breathtaking 💗
I'm so grateful for this kind of information.
I can understand getting a highly planned sleeve, but I'm currently in the process of a patch work sleeve (the opposite of what she suggested) and I love how its turning out. I like taking my time with each design and the challenge of making it fit with the others. I have an overall theme that I stick to so it looks cohesive. I don't think there is one right or better way to do a sleeve, do what works for you!
same here. I have my whole left arm done in traditional work. Its fun finding fillers for the negative spaces.
100%
Nikki is my favourite out of the angels, but dont get me wrong I absolutely love Kelly and Ryan as well, but I feel like if I were to get a tattoo from one of them I would want it from Nikki
"you know that's permanent, right??"
Yep
I certainly hope so. It hurt.
Wow! I didn't know that at all! 😂😂
my tattoo artist didn't give me any care instructions, so I just went off info online... I wash with it unscented dove soap once a day, then a thin layer of aquaphor ointment
How did it heal up? ☺️
My favorite Do's and don'ts video love Nikki❤❤❤
It's so cool that older women like her can make it in the tattoo industry :)
Nikki's the best! She's an amazing artist, and her voice is honestly so nice. I would be honored to be tattooed by her
Why do i watch these with no tattoos and no desire to get one?
Did you get a tattoo yet?
Same here
@Steve Winwood so you think SHE needs psychiatric help because YOU don't find her attractive? I don't see how that works bud.
Steve Winwood coming from a fellow male, we do not claim u. your personal preferences mean nothing. if someone wants to get tats, piercings, or body mods.. then that’s their own business. you have no place in this scenario. kindly take a seat, sir.
Steve Winwood All I read was your prejudices and internal misogyny
When I did my sleeve I did the mistake of just getting several tattoos all around and started the sleeve, but i was lucky enough for it to still come out great!
Nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't call it a mistake.
Nothing wrong with that. My right arm is my "stamp arm". Planning on having some more big ones on there as well as small fillers. Still a sleeve in my mind.
Ugh, when I was in my early 20s I got a quill on my forearm thinking I would never get a sleeve because of work and family and not sure I would look good with one. Now, with one sleeve down I’m wanting to sleeve the arm with the quill and my artist will have to figure out how to blend that in. I wish this video was around 15 years ago.
Nikki's neck/chest tattoo looks like elegant lace from far away, its a masterpiece
It really is. I would never tattoo my neck but I'm jealous of that tattoo. Lol
For my first tattoo I brought my best mate in with me as I am generally socially awkward and can feel stressed and twitchy around people I don't know if I have to spend more than 10 minutes with them alone but now that I know the people at the shop I have no problems other than taking a bit to talk to the artist if I haven't met them yet
Thank you for all your do's and dont's..What a gift.. You are so articulate, ,Much better than Ink master!! You seem relaxed and beautiful
I love this channel! I'm never disappointed with the content they post. Keep up the awesome work!!
She's a very old and and experienced tattoo artists. She's been doing it for atleast 53 years.
She looks younger now, you have to admit!
@@RMoocher I suppose. Money relieves stress it seems.
@@RMoocher she really does
@@artisticalex1206 Poor woman did look older at the time.
@@RMoocher yeah she did. Tbh even though she has had work done on her I think it doesn't look bad on her now. Usually I think having work done looks awful.
I really like her! Her clients are lucky people.
My first tattoo was a cross, a simple two line thin thing. The artist managed to fuck it up and made the top line crooked and slightly diagonal.
You should ask Sara Fabel to do one
Nikki Your Amazing!!!!!!!!!! Love Your Work!!!!
How about doing one about Chinese and Japanese tattoos that have been translated wrong ?
Yaaaaas I’ve been waiting for this
I remember her from ink master and she looks a lot younger now for some reason lol
I noticed that too! She looks so good now
i LOVE the fact that you put tattos on people, and your husband takes them off xD. must be an interesting dynamic between you two lol. also very well spoken.
She’s so fucking pretty! I love her tattoos! ☺️
... I was dumb and got my first tattoo on my ribs, on the side I sleep the most🙈 🙆
Did something bad happened to your tattoo cause it was on your ribs? I plan to make first tattoo on my ribs (really small tattoo) and i want to hear some opinion
Depends on the person, the placement and the tattoo though. Yeah, obviously it stings. I've sat like a rock through all of my sessions though.
Acupuncture weirdly doesn’t hurt
I would LOVE to be tattooed by Nikki. If she was still in Florida, it would happen. ❤️
Well spoken. Great advice.
Woah she's looking so well
I love her!!💙💙
I don't have ink, but I've been watching Ink Master since season one. I even find myself looking at the art the way Oliver, Dave and Chris do. I want a tattoo but at my age(in my 40's) it's probably not a good idea, so I'll just enjoy the art from from a distance. Great vid!
You can try getting a tattoo that's easy to cover up with clothes
You are not too old to get tattooed. My aunt just started getting tattooed and she is over 55
@@cherrybomb1386 Thanks! That really makes me want to give it serious consideration.
@@Tri_monster Not a bad idea. Thanks for the advice!
I got my first tattoo at 40. Got another one on my back last year. I'm 46. Definitely not too old.just get something tasteful
She's awesome!
I love her owl eyes
I just love her.
This video was really really helpful. Thank you!
Nikki is my main tattooed crush
She’s so nice 🥰
I got my first tattoo 2 months ago and i loved it. Soon after i did 2 more myself and they’re kinda shity but i really like them😂
Wow she‘s amazing
That hi was like HI I'm Nikki Simpson
I love how approachable she feels.
Your chest and neck piece is stunning!
haven't liked her bc of the way she was on ink master but damn, i kinda fw her now.❤︎
I always wanted to be a tattoo artist, I think my work is decent and this just seems amazing. I still have time since I’m 16, I changed what I wanted my occupation to be many times from surgeon to detective but I always wanted to be a tattoo artist
Having a degree in Fine Art, my personal position on tattoos is, "Anyone who would get a tattoo is just too lazy to Stretch A Canvas.
BUT...since school the BEST acquaintances I have and the BEST conversations I've had, have been with Tattoo Artists. Their ART is EVERYTHING, especially Drawing!
The meaning and execution of their DRAWING is at a level unlike ANY OTHER Artists.

What a shit-tier "personal position".
@@randallflagg3700 Yeah. I made an un-tattoo artist sort of comment about where I think art images really belongs. The entire community here is probably 180 off of that point of view.
Should I have said "personal opinion"...or just what *exactly* do you need to hear? I certainly want to be accommodating. The last thing I'd want to do is throw your drug fueled narcissistic stream of anaI retentiveness into a spiral.

I'm booked in for my 13th tattoo in 2 weeks. I hate the itchy stage

I don't know if it's me being too picky, but I can't really find an artist that does what I want nearby. Atleast an artist that has time for me within a couple of months
Oliver Pedersen unfortunately if you want a specific style done by a good artist, you're going to have to pay for that in time or money. It may be frustrating having to wait, but think of it as a permanent investment.
Oliver Pedersen I’d definitely wait! It’s a permanent piece of art on your body. I waited over a year for my sleeve just to make sure that the artist I was working with was the right person.
Is a couple of months really that bad?? I've flown to a different country to get the leg piece I wanted. You got to put in a bit of work sometimes!
I luv u nikki. So honest and awsome... I only want infinty with heart in it
