- Here's a few links for my favorite credit cards. I try to check the links often, but let me know if there is a problem. If they change the offer on the card, I may need to update the link. Full disclosure, I get a few airline miles for referring a new customer. You should get the same public offer at no additional cost. Thank you very much.

If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.
A few links that support my channel at no extra cost to you. A great VPN in Surfshark. I've used it for 3 years and I'm very happy. Plus some of my favorite travel credit cards. I often fly in 1st class or business using miles and points. Check out the video link for a video on flying first class with Japan Airlines. Plus, I still have many Baja, California travel videos. A good Mexican Insurance policy is a must. Baja Bound in San Diego is my choice. Thanks to everyone who uses my link.

Puts a smile on my face when you have no idea what day it is...the life.
Yes, thank you for watching
Gotta love the “whatever you want it’s here” vibes in BKK. Thanks for another great video Joe.
You got that right
You got that right
Thanks for the tours. Wow, I absolutely loved the inside look of the Bella Napoli restaurant. Seems like it would be a wonderful place to take a lady on a 2nd date (the 1st date being a coffee shop in order to get to know each other, lol). Also, that is a totally unbelievable number of motor-bikes in the road at 12:05!! The 'Tavern' and 'Beer House' both looked pretty inviting.🙂
Yes, those are great spots. I didn't show inside, but Stella's Secret Bar was in the video. Also, it's a great place. It's in many of my videos. Stop in and say hi. Soi 41 in the alley behind Tops Market
Great area Phrom Pong...that galaxy of restaurant's, bars, pubs to suit all tastes and budgets.
I agree. Phrom Phong is the best area for me to live
You're really making me miss Bangkok buddy. I need to get back there.
For sure, JJ. I just watched and gave a thumbs to your video. I'll be honest, I'm making more videos than I have time to watch. But, I wish you great luck on the channel. Come back for a visit soon
Cool vlog❤
Thank you Mario
Your videos show BKK/Thailand in such a positive light. I’ve taken your experience with a hotel in Chiang Mai and Alisa for a tour. Thank you for your service🫡…..and of course I’ll stop into Stella’s. Any advice on a good Italian? I’m staying on Soi 20 and I normally go to wine connection but the wife isn’t really that keen on it
Hey that's great. Alisa is a great person. She'll give you two a nice view around the city. As for Italian. There are many great choices. I like Bella Napoli on Sukhumvit Soi 31. It's a nice casual place, but the food is outstanding. Really good pizza and pasta is below the Asoke BTS. Pala Pizza is often in the discussion for best slice in BKK. It's a thicker slice, Roman style, but it's one of the best. There's a new place on Soi 20 across the street from the Marriott. I haven't tried it. They have a brick oven for the pizza. Some type of wine bar and pizza. Walk across the street to Bella Napoli. Good stuff. If you get a chance, let me know when you head over to Stella's. I'll come have a beer. If you're with Alisa, she has my Line number
@EagerExpat top man thanks, will do. That really sorts me out for an Italian as ill be staying in the Novotel soi 20 so all the recommendations just a walk away.
@@davebull5379 Sounds good. Check out the Deck on Soi 20. That place is fun
@EagerExpat thanks ill check it out, looks nice
traveling to BKK this week 🎉 looking forward to dining out😋 been eating at home for months because it's so expensive to eat out in California now.
Have a great time. We go eat out almost every night. It's the same price or cheaper than cooking. I usually only eat one large meal a day. Maybe some fruit or a snack at home. But, there are so many great places to explore
@@EagerExpat are you in town next week ? i heard you say you were taking a trip a few videos back
@@LuckyCatAdventures I might go dive. I'm not sure. Are you in town next week? If I'm around lets grab a beer
@@EagerExpat sound good👍I'll hit you up on Sunday to see if you are around. Monday I booked a fishing trip @ New Bungsamran lake. Wednesday going to Pattaya😁
@@LuckyCatAdventures My birthday is Monday. My girlfriend called me tonight, that we are going to Hua Hin this weekend and back Monday night. Monday is a bank holiday. But, other than that I should be around during the week. At least until the weekend. It's time to go diving soon

Bangkok is great. Thank you for watching
Im happy to see people are still buying books still considering most people are obsessed with there phones and tablets these days
I like a book store too. There are plenty of good ones in Thailand
Back in the day there was an English pub under the Landmark called the 'Huntsman' and they had a great Filipino band that had three marvellous femal singers that were real quality.
I think that bar is still there. It's changed names a few times. The Landmark is going through a major facelift today.
Huntsman Pub was my favorite place. Unfortunately it closed during COVID and did not reopen. Band members have gone their separate ways.
@@fredmauren5301 I remember that pub. Thanks for watching Fred
Yeah that compressor probably is working longer if it’s not holding temp. I’m going guess those are 9000 btu so your probably running 700-900watts longer then it needs to.
I'm not sure. It's keeping nice and cool, but ya it's seems to be running every time I open the balcony door. Maybe I'll have the A/C guy come out again and take a look. I might stop using the bedroom A/C for a month. Just the living room A/C. If my bill drops a 1000b that might be the answer
Hi Eager, just wondering if I stay close to Nana bts station, what should I take bts or grab taxi to Bkk airport? My flight to Cambodia on Friday around 11:30 am. Thank in advance!🙏🏻
You can take a Grab or Bolt. I'd go pretty early. I've seen reports to show up 3 hours before an international flight. They are doing construction at immigration. Also, that time of the day, give it a solid hour to get to the airport. You can take the airport train near Asoke in 23 minutes. That's what I do
@@retired_dude I agree. Plus, it's much easier to navigate the airport. But, he said BKK, so the airport rail link is an easy solution. One traffic accident and you get to the airport late
Thanks for replied and very helpful advice!🙏🏻
So they are still renovating The Landmark? Their webpage says all will be finished in june and I really hope they can stay on schedule. We will stay there july 12-15 and It would be sad to stay at a construction site.
I'm not sure what is going on. I walked by two days ago, and they huge sheets a plastic out front. It's been that way for months. So, hopefully, they are almost done. Even if there 90% done, you'll have a great vacation
What rate they charging you for your electric.
Government rate. It's about 3k a month running one A/C at 25 degrees about 14 hours a day that I'm home
what area and soi is stellas bar on
Phrom Phong between Soi 41 and 43 in the alley behind the Tops Market
@@EagerExpat thank you i.ll give them a visit i,m there in a few weeks
@@michaelward9317 You'll like the place
Sorry if repeated....But Peter of "Thailand Bound" also loves BKK and lives near Nana, I think. But he may have to move because of the pollution. So wonder how you feel about it. But I need to be in BKK and all the activity.Tired of these "chilling out" vlogs. That is all I do here in the U.S. And so easy to travel around in SEA. Thanks.
The pollution can be an issue, but it doesn't bother me. It's not every day. I live on the 26th floor. I see the same view every morning for two weeks. Then, you can see a layer of smog for a few days. I just avoid walking around filming for 4 hours that day. At night, it's fine. The heat just traps that smog. The burning season doesn't help. Not only in the north, but other countries. They burn those fields, and it travels down here. But, overall, it's not a problem to me. It is a big city, so you'll get some pollution from buses, etc.. walking around. Many Thais have wore masks for decades to avoid this. Maybe I should, too, but I don't. I don't know Peter, but some people are more affected than others. I'm sure it's not great breathing pollution, but the worst I get is dry eyes. A little refresh eye drops a few times a month. If I bother. I had a guy complaining about the smog the other day at a pub. He probably had 5 smokes in an hour. Ya, it's the smog that's making him cough. Ha ha
Thanks. BKK for me
