- In the 1970s when the Captain & Tennille show was broadcast there was no stereo TV sound. As a result, recordings of those shows may not have stereo sound. In the 1980s I experimented with synchronizing the sound from their stereo LP with video which was difficult since the turntable speed was not as accurate as digital audio is today.
I found these two videos on RUclips and put them together to provide stereo sound to the TV video. Since most of Captain and Tennille programs used studio audio from their recordings, the sound synchronizes easily.

My mom had this record when I was little. Used to dance in circles to this song. This & Muskrat Love were my favorites on the album.
I also danced in circles-- I would also spin ribbons around in... circles! When I got older I thought it would have been cool if Captain and Tennille could do this song on Sesame Street. Do you remember when they would end Sesame Street with "Today's show was brought to you by the letter __, the number __, and [insert shape or something else]"?

She was so Beautiful then and still is today. I heard this Song years ago when I was just a young Teenager going to School and after a while all of a sudden I never heard the Song anymore. Luckily I was able to find it on UTube after all these Years and listen to Toni's Beautiful Voice Singing it all over again it made me feel so good.I'm also glad That Daryl Dragon was able to overcome his Shyness as well.

I ripped this video about 5 years ago from the DVD of their show and put it on youtube in addition to other videos of "Gentle Stranger", "I'm On My Way", and "Honey Come Love Me"

That's a stretch based on their many more successful songs, but I'll agree it's a good song and recording. I'm glad you like it. Obviously it's inspired by "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys, as is "Silly love Songs" by McCartney.
I was already in my thirties when this song was released. I will never forget it.

I don't remember this song at all. Maybe I'm loosing it. My favorite was always Lonely Nights/Angel Face which I had the 45rpm.
This didn't make the top 20, maybe something like #45, so it didn't get much radio play. It's always been one of my favorites. Their albums were pretty much wall to wall good.

No.
She did have one or two sisters who were back up singers.
The backup singers are Toni's sisters Melissa and Louisa.
Not twins, Toni was the Oldest. The lookalike is Toni's sister Louisa, and the other one was Toni's youngest sister Melissa. They sang with the C & T on ALL their albums
I believe it was her younger sister. Definitely see the family resemblance.

In my comments of this video, you have to click "show more", the RUclips links to what I used for video and used for audio appear. Unfortunately when you click the link for where I got the video, the RUclips account has been closed. I have that video with the mono sound and I feel I synced it as well as the original mono sound. It stays locked from beginning to end.
