Dimmer for the gauge cluster is by your left knee when you’re sitting, to the left of the steering column. You pop out the switch by pressing it and then turn it to brighten or dim the gauges
The Defender has always been really good, but I think Lexus has outclassed this with the new GX, and of course a part of the JLR experience are major reliably concerns, my friend had a 2012 LR4, he owned it for 4 years before the rear diff blew up at just 50k miles, after that he got a GX 460 and he's had no problems with it, with Lexus you just don't have long term reliability concerns.
Nah. I live in Canada, probably about three hours away from Michigan (where this was filmed), and it was unusually warm in spite of the sizable amount of snow we got.
When the Auto Start/stop shuts off the engine in stop and go traffic, the Audio levels and bass output in the speakers significantly change as the car tries to conserve power before needing to restart the engine, then once the engine comes back on, the volume returns to normal.... it's so annoying and just makes me turn off the auto start/stop feature completely nullifying the intended purpose.
Assuming you’re shooting this video using a car from a sponsor, then you have to be respectful and careful with it. You needed to fold the head rest first on the 2nd row before you fold the whole seat back, but you just forced them down. Just because you didn’t pay for it doesn’t mean you can damage it
90k to go overlanding on a fully independent platform and what is essentially a "4wd laptop" More Tech than sense. Cant wait for rich people actually believe this car is good and test it off-road only to find out a lifted Honda civic with the pedal down could do probably better for 80k less. Its so funny how this is all overland. It looks cool and I like the inline 6 and the duratracks. I feel like this is a street luxury car peppering up its wealthy customer base into believing is more. What happened to selling a good all purpose simple reliable product. Here there just selling an idea not a tool.
It comes factory with a widdle wadder? I'm sold
Oh this is perfect to climb up the ladder and see how far your boutique furniture shop is from your parking spot!
A navigazia?😅

Love the howling sound of the Good Year Duratrac
This Land Rover looks so powerful
Man if these car were more reliable they would be selling like hot cakes sooo 🔥

Not so fast! Lexus is now equally unreliable with JLR!
New GX seems fairly underwhelming and moved way up in price too.
The head lights of the Land-rover Defender looks like the eyes of a guy who has not had ample time to sleep...
Want to love it. Want to buy it, but the reliability factor can’t be ignored, leased or otherwise. Lexus GX it is then!
I love the defender soo muchh, esp the V8 🤤
My man is just casually working around in the freezing cold weather with his arms exposed. 😂

3:23 Range Rover's reliability at its finest
not really , he doesn't know how to close it. supposed to press the lock with thumb while closing
It’s cool but the gx550 is right around the corner
And less finicky.
Hat with Landcruiser badge says alot😂
You know what they say in the land down under….when you head to the outback take a Land Rover, but if you want to come back take a Land Cruiser.
Any chance you can do a comparison video or podcast between defender 130 and lexus GX550
Especially now, since the new GX will have the same questionable reliability.
@@dannyhoward3437 why?
Storage bin not closing 😂
Would love to drive one of these, maybe not own one 😁

People like 2nd rows because hundreds of thousands of Americans buy SUVs to do life outdoors WITH THEIR DOGS
Amazing car!!
Two big questions. For this price point would you swing for a Jeep 392 or this? And what’s the reliability like on these?
It's a Land Rover. That's all you need to know re reliablity.
Gx550 or this?
GX550 will outlast this by a planet
Nice Car
How did you resist calling it a "widdle wadder?!" That's like grabbing a power tool and not doing THE THING
Get used to that startup sound. It’s a Land Rover. Something is always breaking😂😂😂
like your boots
Which would you prefer; the Lexus GX 550 or Defender 130?
GX550, reliability over anything
Lexus if you're ol poor man
@@langraman8756 you seem to be a validation queen, too much focus on what other people think yawn

gx 550 ✌
So expensive just to be competing with $60-70k luxury SUVs
defender 130 or gx550
Better than ieeos

WE WANT THE D300 DIESEL WITH ITS 30 MPG IN THE U.S.A, NOT THIS WEAK MILD HYBRID WITH 17MPG......

Wing mirrors look too square for me
I prefer trapezoid mirrors myself.
