"Every word of what you just said is wrong. The Rebellion is reborn today. The war is just the beginning, and I will not be the last Jedi"
Gerardo Gonzalez "Strike me down and I will always be with you. See you around kid."
Gerardo Gonzalez General Hux- "You think you hit him?" Luke *walks out and brushes off shoulder like it was nothing* Yep there you have it folks Luke it a savage once more. (YES, I know he was making himself like a hologram but still epic.
That only enhances the savagery of the gesture, really.
Kylo Ren: "I'll destroy her, and you, and all of it."
Luke: "No. Strike me down in anger and I'll always be with you... just like your father. See you around, kid." *Luke disappears.*
Kylo Ren: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
ajgoodwinaviation awsome
John Williams never lets us down
+Antonio De Puniet Wow! That is the goodest and most best movie i have ever viewed! Thank you for the virus!
John Williams : leaves after ix
You had to jinx it
@JordanI Polk yea
Regardless of which star wars films you love and which ones you hate, I think we can all agree that the music in every single one of them is great.
Totally. I hate it when people pretend like the sequels music was bad just because they didn’t like how Luke was a hermit
I think the music gets hated on a ton because the music editors didn’t use the masterful music John made for the film in specific, they just reused music an a lot of the scenes
Squigga That only happened in TROS. TFA and TLJ has good music. Old music popped up when it made sense but they had original music that was really good. TROS was entirely old music and it just played on nostalgia
@@brendanfitzpatrick670 episode 9 also had “Anthem of Evil” and “The Rise of Skywalker” which were original songs and also very good
John Williams is a legend.
Nora Lights yes
Wrong, he's a *god*
Charles-Olivier Denis thats more like it a god
Nora Lights not just a legend but a musical God among men.
@Jordan Polk Giacchino was very close on the score of Rogue One
The rebellion is reborn today.
The war is just beginning.
And I will not be the last jedi.
wow-everything you said in that sentence was right
Someone Yelled F^&*in A!!! in the theater... not saying it was me but I feel the same! :)
Such an epic way for him to go. And people cry because he was affraid to lose everything he fought for, and drew his lightsaber for a single second.
i was a kid when i saw empire and was shocked and felt empty and did not like the movie that much but when ROTJ was released and then could view them all in a row it all made perfect sense and i am pretty confident that 9 will tie up things very well. :)
william dechant This is exactly what I'm thinking (although I do really enjoy TLJ) but at the same time I'm worried that Abrams wrote the story. The problem with him is that he writes pretty great stuff that always ends up leading no where. With The Force Awakens he was aided by Lawrence Kasdan (who wrote the original trilogy or at least A New Hope if I'm not mistaken) and that guy knows how to not force feed the audience information. I can only hope the movie ties everything up nicely and doesn't end up feeling unsatisfactory.
In my opinion the most beautiful piece of music in the entire movie.
theres another brilliant motif in the finale, after Yoda's theme.
Totally agree, when I listen to Ahch-to Island theme my favorite part is the rebellion new theme, even during the credits.
The whole soundtrack is great
@@istvanszennai5209 this is called Holdo's Resolve (you'll find it on youtube) :)
I would include here " Fun with Finn and Rose ", " The Battle of Crait ", " Anch-To Island "
In my opinion Star Wars: The Last Jedi is absolutely the best piece of new Trilogy.
Love 2:16 part. You know it's a Star Wars Film when that part of the theme begins. A lot about to talk about the movie, it'll be a long wait for Episode IX.
Adrian Canto López SPOILERS....... You must have loved Luke's death seeing your profile picture.
Raymond Mach so many feelings indeed.
Adrian Canto López I cant belive we have to wait 2 years... Ill be dead by the time it comes out! D:
Marco D. Toon that's what we all think pal, I thought I would never see the Last Jedi, but what do ya know :)
Domztom Gaming Yeah but you dont have cancer...
Jk I dont have it either
History didn't repeat itself. It just got tougher.
Nah it repeated....
mugensamurai History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes
@@ezelfrancisco1349 Well said.
Williams kills it again.
John Williams, you have done it again!! 😍😍😍
Since only 16 rebels and 3 rebel droids survived! They did reborn
Krišjāņa movie if the dream of a galaxy free of the sinister First Order survives within the mind of even one individual, the resistance can be reborn!
They'll probably do some recruiting between now and episode XI, and it's not like there aren't arms dealers willing to sell them more X-wings.
Or a lack of fools to fight for both sides! XD
They have hope, the rebellions build with hope
Krišjāņa movie Both sides were heavily damaged during the movie. It’s likely that the resistance will do some recruiting and the’ll be on a more even playing field for episode 9.
JOHN SAVED THE WORLD AGAIN
John Williams is the best part of Star Wars.
rip Luke rip admiral Ackbar
It was a trap
I wish he was the one to make the kamikaze scene... But you know... "Ackbar"
Ackbar :(
I LOVE THE LAST JEDI
Goddamn this is beautiful
0:53 thats the shit right there
starkingbiker that and 1:30
This is definitely beautiful!
Whenever I hear this, I imagine a scene where Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Lando, C-3PO and R2-D2 are all reunited on the Millenium Falcon ready for a new adventure and this piece plays! 😊🎧🎶
This is my favorite new song from The Last Jedi! So beautiful!
Holy crap, this might be my favorite John Williams new theme from The Last Jedi.
Simply wondrous
John Williams is the King!
For some reason, this theme hits me harder than a lot of other Star Wars themes, anyone else?
I not suprised. In the FA the music was good, but Master Williams only uses a couple of tracks over and over again. In here, only the significant points gets more familiar.
Same. This theme conveys is a sense of family and heroism against overwhelming odds.
Big time feels with this one.
I get nostalgia from seeing this movie in the theater. But I get more from Luke and Leia's theme.
The theme from 1:32-onwards reminds me a little of the 'It's a Trap' theme from ROTJ. I always loved that track and liked to think of it as the unofficial theme of the original Rebellion.
0:12 im calling this Rose's theme
I like how he (Williams) incorporated the March of the resistance in at around 3:20
A lot of love for this one. At first it reminds me of some of Williams' other work, such as The Lost World and Harry Potter, but it's also reminiscent of the bombastic prequel scores. Something that I felt was lost in TFA.
1:30 and 0:52
I feel like I am waltzing in the great hall at Hogwarts.
it reminds a lot of tchaikovsky lol
Well John Williams did compose some of the classic tunes we hear in Harry Potter!
This shit is beautiful
check out this one Salmon ruclips.net/video/FHuD5y-PZM0/видео.html
@@mattjohnson4184 Like comparing apples and oranges.
The Rebellion is reborn today
The war is just beginning
And I will not be the Last Jedi
this is the binary sunset song in a major key
Almost
LOVE YOU JOHN! LOVE YOU STAR WARS!
John Williams es el mayor compositor de nuestro tiempo
One of my favourites
Thank You for posting it right after the movie premiered ! :D
Gorgeous
Anyone reminded just a little of Harry Potter?
Kind of but I don't really see it John Williams has some repeat themes but he is also great at creating new music also
More like SWTOR
Paul Brunelle me
Yew
John Williams, you are the man.
It’s not about fighting who you hate... it’s saving what you love - Rose
That scene was honestly so bad
Rose worst thing to ever be put into star wars
I love this
I hope Leia’s allies in the Outer Rim include Lando
Probably but why didn't he came when they send the distress signal and also after the destruction of the supremacy the first order had only 10 thousand troops if the remaining 10% of the republic fleet came with the 2 super star destroyers they had (they were not in hosnian prime) it would be ez for the republic I think the first order jammed their signal
BenchBroHD Probably did jam it. Either that or they were too far away.
Wait that is illegal!!😂😂
The beginning was beautiful
Wait, is the resistance the rebels now??
Was there really a diference
Anton Havolli The name was the diffrence I guess? XD
tru XD
Golisani Mammoth They are the same, the only thing that changed is that the Rebels were a strong and big alliance while the Resistance are like 50 people now and it makes things more interesting
Marco D. Toon Well, now they are less then 20 because they all fit into the falcon
0:52 is awesome, + 1:01 as well
BRAVO! MASTER WILLIAMS, BRAVO!
3:08 to the end is awesome!
Beautiful music
Can I just say the first couple seconds of this music is just beautiful? Well, the rest of this is a delight, but the first like ten seconds stuck out to me the most.
The little bit at 2:55 is my favorite.
"Rebellions are built on hope!!!"
@0:13 to 0:33 sounds like Kingdom Hearts music at the World Map
Amad Qureshi reminded me of CIV 5
Parts of it sound like Foreign Visitors Arrive. ruclips.net/video/y_fOgmjM5go/видео.html
I couldn't put my finger on it, but that's exactly what I heard. Thanks!
Oh golly! I didn't even notice that
Bruh: way to find it! It really sounds a lot like it!
0:52 ,1:20 , 2:14
I love those parts. Simply a gem.
I hope we see more of this character.
“See ya around, kid.”
3:22 It echoes the rhythmic pulse of the Imperial March, invoking Luke’s father
Le thème de Rose qui revient 😍😍 parfait !
Excellent theme (j'adore la version modifiee, glorieuse vers la fin)
The melody in the beginning starts like the Force Theme altered from minor to major.
It doesn't even seem like there's a Resistance anymore....
Pinhead Larry Star Wars films ( at least episodes 4-8 ) are all about hope . Rebellion fought the 100x bigger Empire , now Resistance fights with 100x more powerfull FO . The war in sequels in just on the smaller scale
I hear this and think, "the Golden Age of the Republic". An age when the Republic had not fallen into corruption, the galaxy was actually civilized, and the Force was in balance.
Jedi Master Luke Skywalker :" The rebelion is reborn today , The wars have begun , I won't be The Last Jedi."
Increíble la musica
Marvelous theme
Y'know, I don't have a problem with the Resistance, but I wish Disney didn't have to go through the trouble of recreating the Empire/Rebels situation again and instead made the good-guy faction the New Republic. Would've been interesting to me to see the antagonists as the underdogs and the good guys as the mayor power in the galaxy...
the music is inarguably the best thing from ep 8
This new theme coming again and again... I love it. And hope it will stay with Rian Johnsons Trilogy.
around 03:09 ...
julius hibert lol he isn’t getting a trilogy
EpicChocolate You sure?
@@wavey841 Yeah he only made the 8
TFA was made by JJ Abrams
TLJ by Rian Johnson
and the 9 is gonna be made by JJ Abrams
Pierre Castel Oh really I wouldn’t have known if you didn’t tell me
@@wavey841 Ah you were ironic :D ok so I'm stupid so
💜
Potentially the best Star Wars soundtrack.
Cool
What is the best new theme of star wars episode 8, in your opinion?
Edit: for me, the one that starts at Lucasfilm in the trailer, that Disney hasn't published yet. It is a variation of a part in "The Spark" (2:30 time mark) that reproduces and ends in another part (1:10 time mark) of the "Jedi Steps" theme of "The Force Awakens" movie.
Space Man wew lad
Rose’s theme it’s BEAUTIFUL!
1:30
Space Man nah
All of it😂😂
ROSE'S THEME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also if you are a fan of John Williams you will listen to his sweet music
This is not rehash...its NEW! love this one alot......theres alot of other familiar tracks tho....thats fine too
Probably the best new track on the album. But the new theme for Rose (Rose and Finn? The rebellion reborn in them? Still figuring it out)... but the first 3-4 notes remind me of Anakin's Theme, I swear. Pretty uncanny.
"The rebellion is reborn."
This song is interesting
me encanta su musica
Anyone else think this is the title for Star Wars 9
Hey, it's the main theme from that Macaulay Culkin/Anna Chlumsky movie "My Girl"
Even though I love the Sequels, my greatest complaint is that the political situation wasn't explained with as much detail as it should have been. We just got: «there's a New Republic, the First Order (Imperial remnants), and the Resistance (old Rebels). Then again, more politics would've angered some fans... let's not forget how they bitched because the Prequels featured "too much" political intrigue.
Condēu̯i̯os Andīlixtos People seem to forget how many politics are in a New Hope, they just didn't like anything "prequely". Some hatred toward the prequels is hypocritical. I'm in no way saying they're PERFECT, but they're still good films that set up the Originals in a pretty good way. The Sequels are pretty good too, they just kinda honestly feel unnecessary to the overall Skywalker Saga, and, as you said, give us little exposition on this whole First Order/Resistance thing.
I’m playing a mix of all the song, (no I’m not a Star Wars fan) for band so yep
0:00-0:10 is probably my favourite part, I mean 0:00-0:33
Mia Skywalker e
What is secondary theme? That lovely melody is Rose's theme...and secondary sounds militaristic/call to adventure maybe
The secondary theme is the Luke/Island theme. It depicts Luke's solitary life on the island.
This doesn‘t totally sound like STAR WARS to me, but it still is absolutely georgous
I feel like from 1:28 it´s the grumpy Luke Theme
You must say ,his fishing skills are epic
For me it musically represents what is left of the Jedi order and it feels so powerful.
What’s the song with the scene when vice Admiral crashes the Rebel ship to the destroyer?(before the silence when crashed)
"Holdo's Resolve" which is found on the FYC version of the soundtrack
You can also find it in the Finale around 5:33
Please i'm looking for the music from the first trailer. Thank you.
Thank for the answer, actually i noticed that and it's unfortunate. I found some videos on youtube but it's not so clean.
John Williams is the only person that keeps Star Wars alive.
My favorite track from TLJ. I swear i picked up some jaws music from this track. 🦈
Luke Skywalker: "The Rebellion is reborn today. The war is just beginning, and I will not be the last Jedi."
Powerful quotes from a legendary Jedi Master.
To me this is Rose's theme
What is the secondary theme representing? The one that starts at 1:33.
lincolnlobster not sure, but I love it
The secondary theme is the Luke/Island theme. It depicts Luke's solitary life on the island.
Anyone know what part of the movie this is from? I can't quite place it. Or is it a medley/concert piece or something?
Sixth Jayhawk It's a medley/concert piece for sure. Rose's theme which in a way represents the need for a new rebellion to rise and also the melancholy theme for Luke representing the Jedi order in general.
The waltzy theme is heard when Rey is following Luke around in the beginning. I remember the climax was when he just got the big fish.
palmtrees101 Exactly, it's supposed to be about Luke's time on the island as a solitary man. Makes it like a "tragic/mellow" Jedi theme.
end credits
Give this men the god-status
Where is this used in the movie?
Darin Staley It is not used in this exact way. The furst part is Rose's theme. The others are part of Luke's island theme.
Darin Staley This is kinda a mix of different tracks, however this did play in the credits
What is the name of this theme? Not the major key one at the beginning, that's Rose's theme; but the lilting minor-key one in the middle.
Benjamin Fick It's a new Theme for Luke, perhaps representing his Island life.
The secondary theme is the Luke/Island theme. It depicts Luke's solitary life on the island.
02:15 best part
3:39 for me.
"Funny-every word you just said is wrong. The rebellion is reborn today, the war is just beginning, and I will not be the last jedi.(AH! He said it!)
Strike me down and I will always be with you.
See you around kid."
Just like , your father
Where is this music in the movie?
the resistance is gone the rebel alliance is reborn
