  • Thousands of family members and friends packed Stevens Stadium on Saturday, June 15, 2024 to celebrate with nearly 2,400 members of Santa Clara University’s Class of 2024 as they received their diplomas. Degrees were conferred across three different ceremonies for undergraduate and graduate programs from SCU’s Leavey School of Business, College of Arts and Sciences, and School of Engineering.
For many of the undergraduates, this was their first-ever walk across a stage in cap and gown as the COVID-19 pandemic deprived them of high school graduation ceremonies.
The undergraduate commencement address was presented by California Supreme Court Associate Justice Martin J. Jenkins ’77.
President Julie Sullivan congratulated the graduates on exemplifying competence, conscience, and compassion, and extolled them to build a more humane, just, and sustainable world.
The valedictory address at the undergraduate ceremony was delivered by Simon Fournier-Lanzoni ’24, an Italian and music major.
Co-founder of the NWSL’s Bay FC and Santa Clara University alumna Danielle Slaton ’02 delivered the commencement address for graduate students from the School of Education, Counseling & Psychology and Pastoral Ministries program.
