    I am really happy with the change towards handling guests. Very often guests would feel samey, because they all have similar backgrounds and I personally don't particularly care about specific peoples careers in esports unless I am a fan of them or their team.
    But with the focus of this show I can rely on getting what I am interested in, which is LEC deep dives, and have just an extra viewpoint on it, plus some behind the scenes anecdotes.
    Good change, probably my favorite League show rn

    • @tedgraham9220
      @tedgraham9220 2 года назад +6

      I agree, initially I thought it wouldn't be quite my cup of tea, but I've actually really enjoyed the frequency and variety of guests they've had. There will never be an episode with a wet blanket guest because they pretty much only have on known good podcast guests

    • @LikeACrouton
      @LikeACrouton 2 года назад +7

      Agreed. It's actually impressive that they diagnosed the relatively common guest mismatch as an issue and moved to address it.
      So they've created a product that's transitioned away from interviews and towards just general discussion and analysis.
      So it's more than capable of standing on its own, but can be enhanced by a guest when it makes sense.

    I don't think it's fair to say Malrang will be bad on a bad team. He plays very selfish in soloque and dominates like the Hecarim games. I think he is just a good jungler that plays for the team needs. Time will tell if I'm wrong.

    I think lowkey rogue is quite possibly the best at scouting and signing new talent. Then believing in them and training them to perform. Everyone wrote off trymbi off last year, now look at him. Everyone trashed on larsen last year and now hes performing, malrang was so random we all thought, i personally thought comp would he bottom 3. Like this team has the system down.

    Tangential rant here but it really rubs me the wrong way... Can we not perpetrate the false narrative that flandre is the shotcaller of EDG. Jiejie in a recent interview even confirmed that although everyone pitches in, Meiko is, and always has been, the main shotcaller of EDG (this goes back to the Clearlove days). I like both Ming and Meiko, Ming has had higher averages in recent years but Meikos career has been much longer. They've both got more years in them so we won't know until the dust settles.
    It's just really disgusting that Meiko, as the only player who's seen all of EDGs success, gets thrown under the bus to prop up Flandre.

    The obvious MVP for RGE is Trymbi and he'd be my MVP if ever RGE wins vs FNC again. Humanoid would be MVP if FNC wins but hes struggling with Razork being heavy af, Upset and Wunder being passive in lane (though Wunder does his job in team fights, more worried about Upset playing too scared like Comp was doing more damage and was not afraid to deal damage) and Hylli needs to stop choking if he wants to win vs RGE cause Trymbi is the only support (other than Mikyx who can match him). In fact Trymbi actually should be in the conversation of top 3-5 MVP candidates of regular season. Trymbi just plays everything from enchanters to engage champions. His HIGHS may not be as HIGH as Hylli, but hes super good at everything else Hylli isnt good at, he doesnt lose you games outright either. Trymbi should be the next support people should keep an eye on. Not fking overrated Targamas and Labrov. Targamas cant do shit if he doesnt get the counterpick and he has the highest priority of any supports in getting counterpicks, hes overrated af.

      @nathanaelsallhageriksson1719 2 года назад +6

      @@Snootz86 I mean. In that series litteraly the entire RGE team sacrificed their own lanes in some ways to make sure hecarim got an early lead. It's like, who played the best, the guy who got funneld by his team, or the guy who sacrificed himself for the guy getting funneld, and then winning his own matchup despite the sacrifice. Fnc had an ENORMOUS top and really large bot lane advantege. Yet still odo won top, and bot was ok. Larssen picked a champion he was uncomfortable with, and that is antithetical to his style of play in order to give malrang his comfort pick in hecarim. Then he outlaned, outpressured and outteamfought humanoid, the guy everyone is hailing as the best EU mid. Not saying malrang didn't play really well. But this whole comment thread isn't giving Larssen the Credit he desserves, and using the score line to determine malrangs performence in that game is especialy bad faith, when his entire team sacrificed their ability to play well to ensure he had that score line, but then still won lane.

    The whole narrative that Rogue was some big time chokers to begin with was bogus.. Spring 2020.. Didn't qualify for playoffs.. Summer 2020.. Sure they won regular split.. but NOBODY had them as favorites for the title.. They had a terrible meta read and FNC (who had better players) beat them 3-0.. RGE then turned round crushed MAD 3-0.. and had a great back and forth with G2 and went 2-3.. with FInn getting owned by Wunder pretty much solo losing it.. Then fast forward to 2021 Spring.. RGE AGAIN were not the favorites.. G2 won regular split (also beat rge 2-0) and were the obvious choice for who would win.. In the end it came down to MAD vs RGE.. and THIS was the first time/ONLY time RGE choked in the Caitlyin game vs Wukong and then the final game.. In summer 2021.. NOBODY had Rogue as favorites and they crashed and Burned vs MAD (the favorites) and FNC. People act like Rogue has never won a b05 lol its crazy

    Malrang is literally every pro players kryptonite. Any pro who thinks he is good gets deleted by his playstyle.
    Malrang can be made absolutely useless every game in an instant. Just play save... He does nothing but gank, just loose some cs in exchange you won´t loose the game 5min in! xD
    However it works cause pro players love their ego play of winning lane but the only thing they actually win is another Malrang gank.

    • @nathanaelsallhageriksson1719

      I think it's more so that pros try to out smart their opponents. That's what people like LS especialy, but even caedrel and dom mean when they say that players "know when to sin". They aren't playing theoretically "perfect" but they try to win more by correctly predicting what their opponents would do. Malrang is just a giggachad who'll do it better than anyone else. But when others are doing geniunly unexpected shit, and catch malrang off guard, he's like a fish out of water. That doesn't take away from him as a player, it's just having tactical instinct.

    • @Spinexus
      @Spinexus 2 года назад

      @@nathanaelsallhageriksson1719 True. However they know what he does and still fall for it nearly every game. Like at some point your brain should work out that their only win condition is an early pop-off from Malrang. How about i play this lane def for once and swallow my pride.
      I guarantee you Larssen would not die to Malrang ganks because his natural playstyle is defensive/safe. He doesn´t flip all-in´s in lane when he doesn´t know for a fact it´s safe to do so.
      Or another way to describe it. You knowing Malrang could be mid is not smart from you if you flip the overextension/all-in 1v1 anyway. That is the definition of stupidity. Knowing it´s an int play and doing it anyways because maybe he isn´t there! xD
