So what happened with my s10 is one day I went to open my door (no power locks) and as I inserted the key, the lock just pushed in. And as it turns out, that little tab that held the lock cylinder in place broke. I got a replacement dorman one ordered and this video helped me figure out installing the new one. (Man the lock was a tight squeeze) But I got the lock in with a pair of channel locks to press it in with some oil. New door handle works great.
Literally what just happened to me today, I just bought an s10 broke it home locked the doors and now I’m locked out. How did you break into it? I am having no luck
Yes, you now have keys to get in the doors, but the door keys still don't match the ignition key. Must change ALL THREE cylinders, or re-code the doors (or ignition)... back to one-key system.
hey brother any information where did you get the door lock cylinder ? also can you send the link for it, because local auto parts does not have it, and I'm having hard time to get at ebay so many stuff. thanks

You left out the most important thing. How do you go about finding the cylinder that fits your ignition key

The factory OEM cylinders are discontinued, where did you find the lock cylinders?

Obviously - if your concern is only having one key on a 25yr old project vehicle. I just wanted in and out of the fucking truck 🤣

I had the same problem. Ended up buying used cylinders on eBay.
