Thank u very much it had that epc light we changed spark plugs changed coil packs but still it was loosing power but after changing the throttle body it now accelerate 100% thanx from South Africa
I had the same symptoms, engine check light and EPC light, no power and max RMP at about 2000. I took of the throttle valve body and saw that the spring had broken in two. I contacted this man that was able to send me a spring, I replaced it, and the car now starts as expected. I then deleted the ECU codes and the engine light is now gone. Thanks a lot for your video !
@@ckbond41I don't remember if I used VCDS or the app "Car Scanner" (blue logo) with and ELM327 to erase the codes. But a lot of OBD2 app/softwares can do that !
Really impressed with the single-handed engineering skills! I've had this problem but... No springs available in the UK... so £150 for a new throttle body (or £400+ for the OEM, how can they!). Anyway, I really liked this fix, most impressed, and thanks.
Great Video, I had the exact same problem. The spring had snapped in the exact same place. What I done is left the bottom part of the spring seated where it was, and with the upper part I bent it in such a way and lodged it into place against the side of the housing. The flap closed and opened how it should. So I put it back together and refitted it and ECP light was gone. The engine management light was still on as I had unplugged it I assume, so I reset that code and all is ok. Hopefully it will be good from now on. There is always more than one way to skin a cat they say! verry happy, thanks for the video, was a great help!
Had this same issue on a 2017 vw Jetta 1.4 tsi. Could not find a replacement spring for repair. Replaced the entire throttle body from the vw dealer parts. I wish we had more speciality shops in America that could machine a new spring. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good throttle that needs a new return spring.
Hi, On my golf 7 1.2 tsi (cjza) 2015 an mechanic did the timing belt yesterday without tool Vas 611 007. During the same time they cleaned the throttle body. First time it lost power at high revs showing g28 and g40 codes, second time they took it to align the timing belt with marks and now it shudders sometimes at low rps 1000-1200 rpm without any code on scanner. Did they damage my engine or I only need to find someone with tool to put the timing right with Vas tool or should I firstly try to calibrate the throttle body. Thanks,

hi bro, i clean my throttle today, the plarge pipe that goes from the turbo to the trotthle body goes at pressure with the grips only? i ask because at the end of the maintenance, we scan and program the body, but i feel like a whistle noise now, i dont remember hearing it before. when i assembled that part i only oil the orings and put the grips, then screwed the throttle and the pipe with the plastic grips, even i take out the large pipe again and put it back, but sometimes y still hear it the whistle from inside the car, not from the front of it. any idea? i clean both lambda sensor too, but they are well screwed too my car is a Skoda Fabia 1.2 TSI, same engine that yours
I've had exactly the same problem. Where did you get the spring from as vw wanted £430 plus vat for a new throttle body so I bent a tab on the end of the original spring to make it work.
There is a company in my country that is making custom springs and it cost around 20 euros but problem is mail it's expensive recently someone was interested and for delivery they wanted around 70 euros for uk

Hello, I have the same throttle. I don't have any errors, but on cold engine there is a strange phenomenon. Well, when I drive in 1st gear and accelerate the car and then let off the gas then for 2-3 seconds the car still goes forward/maintains speed then it jerks and just loses speed. I also noticed that the gear doesn't want to go in unless I wait those 3 seconds until the car starts losing speed. Could this be a defective throttle? 1.4 tsi engine. Could the problem be the clutch. It runs high and on a cold engine there are also jerks when releasing the clutch from gear 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and sometimes 3 to 4. So far the throttle has been cleaned, all the orings in the intake pipe have been replaced + under the throttle. In addition, the oil in the gearbox changed 2 times and no change.
If you can find someone with the same throttle body to try replace just to try how the engine will react because there might be problem with the electric part of throttle body
@@mechanicigor I did the adaptation and it is a little better, you do not feel such a strong jerk when letting off the gas. VCDS didn't give the go-ahead because it saw an error in engine channel 7158 - J533 Gateway. I was able to do VAG506M. As for the gears, I put it on a worn clutch, because I noticed that the biggest problem is when you want to change gears at more than 2,000 engine rpm(on a cold engine). On warm it's better and only from 4000-5000 they come in harder and you have to wait for the revs to drop. Fast shifting falls off when the revs are high.

This spring is custom made by a company in my country according to the old one the spring cost is 20 euros and delivery by post office around 10 euros by DHL is a lot more expensive

That one is with plastic gears and usually the gears are the problem or damaged wire near the transmission first check the wiring connection with the ecu

You can delete it with any diagnostic tool also the vehicle can off the check engine light after couple of starts with no problem

I think it's better to recheck the timing and after that recalibrate the throttle body

Usually the turbo whistle or if compressed air is leaking but if it leaks it will make fault code and even go in limp mode

@@yongamasotondoshe7518 you have to check with diagnostic equipment to see what fault codes have I think it's not throttle body
