Xbox Game Pass Review 2024. If you're enjoying the video be sure to leave a like! I'm a little late in the year this year, but that's also because they've changed so much so I kept delaying. We'll probably get next year's review back on track for the spring.
Funny how I thought Game Pass was just some extra benefit if you paid a little more monthly for LIVE… but now it’s a legit new way to play games. It started with music (downloading music is now dead. streaming music is the way to go) and now it’s making its way to video games. Not sure how I feel about this transition into the streaming world, but Game Pass has been amazing and good to me
I would have never played mafia if it wasn’t for gamepass. There’s actually a lot of games that I would have never tried. I also use cloud gaming quite often
@@harryshuman9637 Pure Evil has the right mindset. Game Pass is a rental catalog for discovering new games. Why buy a game you might not like, than to rent it, play it, discover you really like it and _then_ buy it. Or, rent it, play it, discover it's another half-assed meh mid game, and save your money.
@@metaldiceman That's simple. Upon completion of a single player games, people usually don't buy them. So of the $10 monthly payment you paid that month, only a very small fraction goes to the developer. When you buy a game, a much larger portion goes to the developer. You can also return the game you don't like, at least on Steam. If XBox doesn't allow returns - that's their fault, and it's on you for using XBox instead of Steam.
@@harryshuman9637 The kind of people who don't care to buy or even ever return to the games they've completed, aren't usually the type of people who care that less of their money goes to the developer on Game Pass vs buying them. They play the game, beat it and move on.
Gamepass is great and saves gamers alot of money, with the prices of games being 79,99 euros here gamepass is an great deal to enjoy an large variety of games, I just hope the game list keeps being good and that they dont remove the good games on gamepass.
The PlayStation fanboys love to hate on this service. But it's saving us money in difficult economic times. They're over paying on everything from games to the console itself. On Xbox you play more for less and that is why I continue to support them. Buying consoles if they want to stay committed to hardware. And yes I still do buy games frequently. Digital or physical.
Everyone thinks Game Pass players are digital non-ownership simps. Me with stacks and stacks of physical Xbox games over here still truckin' strong through Game Pass games.
@@spqninjaplnot sure why 30fps bothers your so much, the game is really great, just keep playing and you will forget about fps after a while, just enjoy the story and gameplay, the story really sucks you in. Would also recommand playing mafia 2 afterwards as well, imho it’s the best out of the 3
They really should drop another patch and optimize this game for the Series S. I can easily get 60fps on my budget PC with an RX 580 at a mix of medium to high settings. Same thing goes for Evil West.
Microsoft Upping the price is a Smart move & it's reasonable for them to do that because of the Day1 drops of games that are anticipated throughout the year
Forget about the big day one titles, forget about stupid AAA schlop. Game Pass has been amazing for me to discover and play stuff I wasn't familiar with and liked enough to purchase outright. Games such as Ori, Subnautica, Figment, Planet of Lana, Tchia, Creatures of Ava, Last Stop, Unravel, Fe, Flock, Little Kitty Big City, Jusant, Solar Ash, Somerville, and etc. Games that are unknowns at first, can be a harder sell to drop $20 or $30 when you know very little about them. Harder even than e.g. dropping $70 on Final Fantasy Rebirth that you already know you'll enjoy. It's that element of discovery and finding new games that are surprising enjoyment that is the really valuable part of Game Pass that is unrivaled elsewhere in the industry.
I don’t like the fact that your games you paid for on Xbox won’t be available if you go over to pc I had loads of games but it wants me to pay for all of them again on pc it’s a joke

Mafia is such a gem, the collection often goes on sale for like $20 and I highly recommend it to own all three great games!
Why? Too cheap to buy games?
