Ever see the clip where Sharon Osbourne’s daughter tries to burn Donald Trump by sarcastically asking “If you ban all the Mexicans then who’s going to clean your toilet for you?” The audience immediately groans in embarrassment for her because she just threw Mexicans under the bus to burn [rich guy]. Britta is doing the same thing here. She isn’t joking about *pandering to* Mexicans. She is joking about stuffing them up her snatch as if they’re an inanimate object. She compares them to oil, a commodity that we burn to make our lives easier. She does this to insult [rich guy] as well (in this case the US government) Try hearing the joke in Pierce’s voice and you can hear more clearly how belittling the comment is. It almost goes unnoticed when coming from Britta though because she’s a bleeding heart progressive. That’s why it’s funny that “she” doesn’t realize how insulting her comment is. What I think is funny is troy gets mad that him and abed have been washing paper plates because annie overcharged them, but then suggest if he did have the money, he would spend it on a tire swing So yeah, annie was right about them being bad with money.
This is the only episode that can consistently make me cry. Pierce really was the old, wise heart of the group. When no one knew what else to say, not even a Winger monologue, Pierce had the perfect words for the moment. RIP you crazy babywipe bastard
I always found it awesome that pierce knew all this but more importantly remembered all of it, the man used to forget everything and yet seemed to keep all this stuff locked in long enough for it to be said after his death proves that he loved them all, Pierce was always one of my favourites, abed being number 1 of course but still I found pierce funny and his advice at times was the most insightful

i love how they confront the racism in their characters are genuine flaws based on ignorance but still underneath they love each other despite their ignorances. it creates good comedy and really deep characters. sounds odd but it works.

Something just occurred to me: Abed and Troy have an elaborate escape plan in case of a zombie attack. They've already been in a zombie attack, Halloween in season two.
The most unrealistic thing about this (and really, most of the show) is everyone knows how divisive and untrustworthy Pierce is, and yet somehow reveal so much secret stuff to him. Why would he ever have needed to know, for example, about an account Annie had to skim her housemates' rent? That's the kind of stuff that should be incredibly easy to hide or lie about even if caught. My closest friends don't know half of what I get up to and I'm sure that's the same for most people. The same pattern repeats for all the main characters, really. I guess it's important in order to allow for such a show (and it is still an awesome show and my favourite) to progress, but to me that's the weakest point of the writing.
Pierce is manipulative and Annie is very trusting. He's also stated multiple times that she's his favourite and she's always the first to defend him to the group. I can see scenarios where she'd confide in him.
Based off of Annie's 4% savings for Troy and abeds additional rent money. If Annie deposits 20 dollars, 10 from Troy and 10 from abed, each month, in six years they would have roughly $1650. Much more than jacket money :)

Based off of Annie's 4% savings for Troy and abeds additional rent money. If Annie deposits 20 dollars, 10 from Troy and 10 from abed, each month, in six years they would have roughly $1650. Much more than jacket money :)
