I imagine the uploader to this channel has to keep the videos to a certain length for Algorithm reasons, but it's really a shame to not have the first part of this scene, that establishes the deeply awkward energy. This scene also has my favourite Elroy line: "Hi, how's everybody doing I ASKED A DAMN QUESTION."

I've never been a fan of Elroys line. I think the dialogue itself is funny, but the pace was too quick so it felt awkward. It just just needed a beat or two where someone could have actually had a chance to respond before he dialed it up to 11.

It's curious how this is one of the 2 times Jeff got physically angry in the show (the other being when he tried to kill Pierce after he lied about his father). Like, pure angry, not crazy, acting in justified self-defence (like the Christmas fight) or having a burst of insecurity and mid-life crisis (when he choked Abed because of the space movie they were doing). And this time is not played for laughs like the Pierce thing was.
