      I think you can see that the rest of the cast was particularly delighted by it because, as Yvette said, they had all been in that position. I have to wonder if there are outtakes somewhere of Walton Goggins doing the same thing.

    Especially if this was also followed by a typical pierce joke of "that way, the group finally gets that hispanic element Britta always talked about. Pierce Out!" and is followed by rap, much like how Pierce's mom ended her final message to him

    So much is happening in this scene, I never picked up til now that while Pierce is complimenting Troy for having the "heart of a hero", he is also basically calling himself a hero by adding "don't waste it as I did". Still egotistical from beyond the grave.

    • @heddalee
      @heddalee 4 года назад +16

      I think it was mostly an admission of weakness. Saying that he was a failed hero his entire adulthood is not really giving himself a pat on the back. By this point, Pierce had abandoned the idea that he had any heroism remaining within himself. 'Hero' was an empty label.

    We all know Annie is his favorite. He blatantly said so.
    But still, other than Jeff who he tried to become co-alphas with, Troy was the only one that Pierce actually really liked. Cared for more than just friends. Pierce WANTED to live with Troy, enjoyed every second of it, and was heartbroken when Troy left. Hell, it pretty much preceded Pierce's villain turn when Troy left.
    And we just heard what Pierce thought of Troy.
    Does that make him his co-favorite? The Son that Pierce always wished he had?
