Something I’ve always loved about this scene is how it calls back to a single line all the way in season one where Troy asks why he’s crying in Abed’s video, and if it’s because he accidentally listened to come sail away by Styx again. It just makes the scene so much more emotional when you remember troys reaction to the same song that plays while he’s leaving.
AND as he sails away, no less. I mean, I'm sure they planned it that way, but the fact that it doesn't feel forced is a testament to what having good writers on a show can do.

Anyone else realize the boat is called “childish tycoon” . It’s kind of a really nice ode to Donald Glovers actual journey that he’s going on to leave this show. Which is really diving into Childish Gambino
@Trahfk McGhee Do some research maybe, lol. This episode aired (and filmed) in 2014. Literally a basic RUclips search will show you that Donald used the Childish Gambino persona as early as 2012 in his song Heartbeat. So no, this isnt pushing it.
@Trahfk McGhee I looked at the Heartbeat music video, which showed 2012. Point is: Im right, you're wrong, and you think you're funny cause you drop some emojis. Go find something else to be wrong about
this season started in 2014, community ended in 2015-2016, it takes approximately 3-5 years to sail around the world, now its 2019, I can only imagine Troy and Abed are killing it in hollywood now with Abed directing movies and Troy producing movies with the help of Pierce’s Inheritance he left. in 2024-2025 will be the Community reunion (which Abed will reference as a movie) bringing back everyone for one last adventure which hopefully has some paintballs included in it.
I think there is mention in passing that Troy's ship goes missing in some way. I like the idea that a movie could be about finding and rescuing him. But that might be too much left field for what they want to do.
it actually broke my heart when troy left the show. i’ve never seen a tv show with a better best-friendship than troy and abed. when the show immediately paired them together as best friends in season one i was like “okay whatever they paired the two youngest males with opposite personalities, whatever”. but it became so clear how much they needed each other and they became better people because of each other. troy kept abed grounded in reality and abed gave troy a way to express himself in ways he couldn’t when he was a cool jock in high school. these two are such soulmates and i actually cried when they were separated in this episode.
"There is skill to it. More importantly, it has to be joyful, effortless, fun. TV defeats its own purpose when it's pushing an agenda, or trying to defeat other TV or being proud or ashamed of itself for existing. It's TV; it's comfort. It's a friend you've known so well, and for so long you just let it be with you, and it needs to be okay for it to have a bad day or phone in a day, and it needs to be okay for it to get on a boat with LeVar Burton and never come back. Because eventually, it all will." - Abed Nadir
I still haven't watched the episode where this is quoted, and I'm honestly not that excited to see this goodbye brought up again. Excuse me, I need to heal.
@No Lümpen I agree with you to a point. But I think there's nothing wrong with having a friend or friends to escape to when one's nerves are frayed. Of course, one requires time for other important things, but why must comfort be denied any one when they need or want it. Besides, I think it falls to people how they allocate their time, and it's a storyteller’s goal to seduce people into finishing their story.
This episode was a true masterpiece akin to the first 3 seasons: "Troy and Abed being in a bubble, Troy admitting he doesnt fully get Abed, but is still his best friend; Sending him off in a boat with the "Childish" reference, to Styx - which we know makes Troy cry. This show was just the most perfect thing in the world.
this comments section is filled with how good of a friend troy is with abed (which is absolutely true don't get me wrong) but i appreciate the growth britta experienced in trying to understand abed too. she always tries her best to think in the best interest of others but she initially had a mold of what was best for others as seen with the christmas claymation episode where she kept trying to snap abed out of the claymation world. but she's evolved into adapting to abed's needs and his own coping mechanisms with the cloning machine which i think is the mark of a great friend. she's proven herself time and time again to be a good person and this part definitely is no exception.
She’d be a great child psychiatrist for this reason. Obviously Abed isn’t a child, but he experiences the world in a similar imaginative way that doesn’t make sense to most people around him, and he needs a therapist who’s open-minded and empathetic enough to try to see the world the way he does and help him on his own terms. Children often aren’t taken seriously by adults who miss the things they’re trying to express and try to impose their adult view of the world on it, or treat them as inferior because they’re not fully developed.
I will be too. They really had the potential to be awesome. Troy is the sweetest and would've helped Britta with her self esteem issues, and Britta would've been a perfect dose of reality that Troy sometimes desperately needed. Goddamn you gas leak year 😩
When I first watched this show, this scene was the end for me. Pierce and Troy were two of my top 3 favourite characters from the show, and having them both exit as the start of season 5 was such a huge blow to me. It took me over a year to eventually come back and finish the rest of it. Community had its ups and downs. Even Dan Harmon who was aware of TV shows having a natural shelf life couldn't fully protect this show from aging gracefully, but I still feel bitter-sweet about the imperfections and this is still my favourite TV show of all time. I'm so glad the world gets to see this (I hear about new people discovering and falling in love with it to this day) #andamovie
I hear you. I really, really do. I finally watched this episode today, and it took me 6 years and worldwide quarantine to find the guts to go through with it. I accidentally read about Bon Troyage in an article in 2013, and I teared up while on commute. The jeepney driver had to console me, asking me if a guy made me cry. I couldn't tell him I was crying about a show, wiping snot on my sleeves. It still hurt to watch it. But I have to settle the score with this show, and I'm working to finish it this time around. That said, I will be wading through lead and honey for the next episodes. I know it will be agonizing and difficult, but we reserve all our courage for the sweetest kind of pain. Damn this show.
Losing Shirley, Pierce, and Troy really did a number on the show. Going back and watching the first three seasons highlights an energy that wasn't really there in the last season and a half. Keith David and Jon Banks were great additions that helped keep my interest since they're some of my favorite actors but it just wasn't the same.
I finally finished the show the other night. I couldn't stop watching anyway. I thought it would be difficult, but I realized immediately I was a fool to put off meeting Elroy and Frankie. Although I do wish I got to see them interact with Shirley and Hickey. I am sad I couldn't get more of Hickey, Elroy, and Frankie, but I do agree that a Season 7 would have been a disservice to the remaining original characters. I am missing a friend, but I'm also content. Still just waiting for that movie. #andamovie EDIT: OH, and the sweet and innocent version of Chang. I wouldn't have minded more of him. I was really sorry the show messed up that odd man.
I started watching in July, kinda dismissed it as a typical sitcom in the first season. However, I think Community has the strongest 1st season ever for a sitcom. Season 2 and 3 were some of the best TV I’ve ever watched. I’m still on the fence on calling this my fave sitcom of all time but it’s really really close with Parks and Recreation. I’m now on Season 6 and I’m gonna wait for the Finale to judge. It’s a great show. I just didn’t see Troy leaving. It came as a shock since he’s my favorite character.
Taking a moment to appreciate Britta. Cos she is the best. She keeps it honest, the others trampling on her never stops her from helping. The rest of the group don't really give her as much credit she deserves, but she still takes it all modestly, happy in the outcome. That's why I am glad Troy acknowledging this. It's genuine. Also Abed's voice cracks when he talks about the compulsion to come back. This goodbye is done so wonderfully.
All the way back in season 1 Troy said this "I'm crying in that video Abed, why am I crying, will I accidentally listen to Come Sail Away in the future? 5 seasons later, he leaves the show with Come Sail Away playing. Brilliance is a hard thing to come across, and when you come across not many people notice, but its something truly incredible.
The saddest moment in the entire series. If there's a film, make him come back. It would be cool if he came round the corner singing "somewhere out there" like in that one episode. That would be cool. Cool cool cool.
This is why community is in my top 10 shows of all time, the showrunners have somehow been able to get the dna of some of the funniest comedy ever made and mix it with the dna of some of the saddest-but-sweetest parts of tv shows, and instead of creating a huge mess, they created community, a show that has never got worse as seasons go bit instead got better Thank you community, #sixseasonsandamovie
i dont know why i keep coming back to relive the heartbreak. This scene hits me in the feels every single goddamn time. its like re-reading a breakup letter because its written in such a poetic fashion.
Bruh same. I never cry during television, EVER, so I wasn't expecting to cry at all during this episode (even though I knew it was going to break my heart). Enter this scene - there were silent tears rolling down my cheeks as I sob. MY EMOTIONS! MY EMOTIONS!
A moment in any show has never left me so empty. I’m not the time to immediately grab the tissue box anything remotely sad happens but, this was one of my moment. Troy was my favorite character and donald glover is one of my favorite people. I wonder if he knows the impact he made. What’s worse that i was in front of family and I shed one tear. It wasn’t much but that single tear equated to a week of pain. Loved this show.
if it makes you feel any better, there is a full version of their goodbye with more dialogue and that shows how much they meant to each other. the scene is supposed to go: Abed: Clone Troy... Troy: Clone Abed... Abed: From my clone perspective, I can see what an important figure original Troy must have been in original Abed's life. Original Abed spent decades unaware he could actually connect with other people... but his friendship with original Troy showed him he doesn't just have to observe the world... he can be a part of it. Troy: Original Troy used to care so much about what other people thought... Original Abed showed him it was okay to be himself. I'm really glad those two met. Abed: Agreed. By the way, when I cloned you I had to patch some missing parts of your DNA with genes from a homing pidgeon. You might notice some side effects, like a compulsion... to come back.
In all my years of watching TV, only two individual episodes of tv ever made me cry. This one, and the Community series finale. It’s a real testament to this show that they had two different episodes do this to me.
4:00 rlly got me with them smiling then abed going to his sad face which is rare and troy’s sad face which we see a lot but this time its a deeper sadness. Even music fades
I have screenshots of those faces, dear god. And Troy's face as they begin to drive away. Abed's face as he looks on. I was compelled to take those shots. So beautiful and so very sad.
When Abed was “dead” I cried. Idk if you guys know it, but some people with problems to accept reality can get catatonic after receiving bad news, or due extreme anxiety. My friend suffered depression and anxiety and at one point of her mental crisis, she became catatonic just as Abed in this episode, incapable of processing reality. So yeah, Troy was really scared that Abed became catatonic forever. Because in his mind he was dead. That was so sad, that’s the reason why Britta was able to bring him back by “cloning” him, he gave her a “key” to escape from that mental state. Damn… this wasn’t a dumb game, it really show us how a mental crisis looks like, such a powerful scene.
I think I’m the only one who noticed this - Pierce left each member of the Study Group a reckoning, right? I think his “gift” to Troy to take a voyage around the world was what he left for us, the viewers. He intentionally made the most favorite character (debatable) exit the show. He bequeathed that heartbreak to us. Damn you, Pierceeee!!!
I love the bit between Troy and Jeff, he’s still trying to be cool like Jeff and he lets him know he finest have to be cool like Jeff he’s already cool because of who he is
I cried so hard during the troy and abed moments the first time I watched this episode, and now I still shed a tear or two during their goodbye each time I watch it
One thing I just realized that the song that's playing when Troy's leaving is "Come Sail Away" by Styx, which is the song Troy mentions make him cry in around the first season. Now I might start to cry
In season 1 episode 9, Troy says - while watching his character in one of Abed’s films cry - “Why am I crying? Did I accidentally listen to ‘Come Sail Away’ by Styx again?” And now, as he’s leaving, they’re playing a cover of that song. THIS SHOW IS SO AMAZING
I just realized that in season 1, it's shown that he cries to Come Sail Away. It's playing in the background when he leaves and is literally sailing away. Since it's his clone, he doesn't cry to that song.
I finished the whole thing. Why did I finish the whole thing. I need more, a movie, i need the movie. I need a conclusion to Jeff and Annie. Troy and Abed finally reunited. And of course, the Ass Crack Bandit
Losing Troy is awful, and always makes me well up a bit when I get to this episode. There's also that massive feeling of loss, just not just for Troy being absent, but the special chemistry between he and Abed being gone too. Add in losing Pierce, who is better every time I binge, and S5 is tough to get through. S1 to 3 is a 20 out 10. The rest is as good/better as anything out there, which says a lot about the quality of this show. Can't wait for the movie, hope Chevy comes back!!
Daniel Studart I mean, they’re all for it and Troy would definitely come back but the issue is always that not everyone is free at the same time, there is always one or two that are busy
@@TheJthedog That one or two has definitely been Donald Glover most of the time, they've already kinda said that they would love to do it but Donald needs to be in it and he's said he doesn't wanna work for someone else again. And they say that he's always busy.

I recently broke up with someone I truly loved. And honestly watching this feels painful but good. I don't know what I'm going to do without him but I think the clone of me will be just fine.
I think this might be one of my favorite scenes in the whole show. While it is very sad it shows how far Troy’s character development and how connected he really was with them all Troy and Britta had a strong connection even without them dating (I also think that he did love Britta and them breaking up was a sort of “right person, wrong time” type deal) Troy saying how he wishes he could’ve been Annie’s friend for longer really shows his development because even in season 1 they still had their high school relationship but they grew to become close friends Troy always looked up to Jeff as “Mr. Cool” which is shown in his 21st birthday episode and Jeff telling Troy how cool he really is shows how he respects him and he isn’t jealous of Troy taking his title of Mr Cool anymore like he was in the pizza timeline episode Shirley’s goodbye was great because of the callback when they competed in the PE episode to see who the most badass one is. Even though Pierce didn’t get a goodbye his will represents it because he always saw Troy as a younger version of him like Jeff, which is why he wanted Troy to move in with him and to do the trip so Troy could learn and be better than he ever was Abed’s is self-explanatory (but I wish that they did their handshake one last time even though Troy stole it from RUclips)
I regret I wasnt sad when I watched that episode, I was certain they would introduce him back....... I thought, they cant just replace him or get rid of him as he is so crucial to the story and balancing Abed
Part of me really hoped that they would pull an "Office" move and have Troy show up unexpectedly in the finale. Ah well, here's hoping we get that movie now with the rising popularity
Imo that implies there's something still their between the two and suggests there's potential to characterize their relationship in the eventual movie. Better than what season 4 did for them.
As someone who grew up with major asburgers , it is goodness, and most importantly, PATIENCE !! kindness that will make us all whole and loved, at the very least, feel appreciated and acknowledged.
I like Troy admitting he doesn’t get Abed fully. He acknowledges that, but doesn’t let it diminish their friendship at all
TerminalCarrion just noticed that. While most people wouldn’t take a chance on someone they wouldn’t get, Troy just accepted him.
In Troy’s own words nobody would ever have the patience Troy has with Abed

Something I’ve always loved about this scene is how it calls back to a single line all the way in season one where Troy asks why he’s crying in Abed’s video, and if it’s because he accidentally listened to come sail away by Styx again. It just makes the scene so much more emotional when you remember troys reaction to the same song that plays while he’s leaving.
AND as he sails away, no less. I mean, I'm sure they planned it that way, but the fact that it doesn't feel forced is a testament to what having good writers on a show can do.
Abed was not the same after Troy left. Everything he did just didn’t looked/felt complete. 😢
GIUXEPPE true 100% fax , the show wasn’t the same without him . They just started to pile up characters to replay him but after he left , it just didn’t fill like community
@@6QUANTUM9 that's cos he's clone Abed
I disagree I think they nailed it as much as they could.
Annie did her best. She definitely embraced his goofiness more after this episode.
They pretty much discontinued Abed’s storyline as well 😢😢 Troy is important to him and it sucks that we don’t see their journey bloom
Anyone else realize the boat is called “childish tycoon” . It’s kind of a really nice ode to Donald Glovers actual journey that he’s going on to leave this show. Which is really diving into Childish Gambino
Trahfk McGhee Nah it’s clearly a hint to Childish Gambino
@Trahfk McGhee Do some research maybe, lol. This episode aired (and filmed) in 2014. Literally a basic RUclips search will show you that Donald used the Childish Gambino persona as early as 2012 in his song Heartbeat. So no, this isnt pushing it.
@Trahfk McGhee its a confirmed fact!
It's also a joke about pierce, because he's a wet wipe tycoon that's very childish.
@Trahfk McGhee I looked at the Heartbeat music video, which showed 2012. Point is: Im right, you're wrong, and you think you're funny cause you drop some emojis. Go find something else to be wrong about
this season started in 2014, community ended in 2015-2016,
it takes approximately 3-5 years to sail around the world,
now its 2019, I can only imagine Troy and Abed are killing it in hollywood now with Abed directing movies and Troy producing movies with the help of Pierce’s Inheritance he left.
in 2024-2025 will be the Community reunion (which Abed will reference as a movie) bringing back everyone for one last adventure which hopefully has some paintballs included in it.
Supposedly Troy creates “dance pants” in 2019 so they are definitely killing it in Hollywood rn!
Troy and Abed at the Oooscars!
Why 2024-2025?
I think there is mention in passing that Troy's ship goes missing in some way. I like the idea that a movie could be about finding and rescuing him. But that might be too much left field for what they want to do.
Um... it’s 2020 dawg
I love that the final song for Troy is a callback to him thinking he’ll cry by listening to come sail away by Styx again
it actually broke my heart when troy left the show. i’ve never seen a tv show with a better best-friendship than troy and abed. when the show immediately paired them together as best friends in season one i was like “okay whatever they paired the two youngest males with opposite personalities, whatever”. but it became so clear how much they needed each other and they became better people because of each other. troy kept abed grounded in reality and abed gave troy a way to express himself in ways he couldn’t when he was a cool jock in high school. these two are such soulmates and i actually cried when they were separated in this episode.
"You may notice some side-effects, like a compulsion to come back." literally one of the saddest lines in anything I've ever watched 😭
Abed's slight pause when saying he might notice a compulsion to come back absolutely killed me
"There is skill to it.
That voice crack... god it kills me
@No Lümpen what's not important about fun and joy?
I wish to report this post for the inner pain it revealed at all the times I tried too hard
“You May notice side effects, like a compulsion to come back” IM CRYING
He never came back...
I guess Troy finally answered who the badass was. It was shirley all along.
They were scared to tell her Jeff had a fight
How the hell was this comment made before WandaVision??
What?
@@fixafix69 I thought I was the only one who thought this
This episode was a true masterpiece akin to the first 3 seasons:
"Troy and Abed being in a bubble, Troy admitting he doesnt fully get Abed, but is still his best friend; Sending him off in a boat with the "Childish" reference, to Styx - which we know makes Troy cry.
This show was just the most perfect thing in the world.
You forgot it was one of the finest story for Britta
this comments section is filled with how good of a friend troy is with abed (which is absolutely true don't get me wrong) but i appreciate the growth britta experienced in trying to understand abed too. she always tries her best to think in the best interest of others but she initially had a mold of what was best for others as seen with the christmas claymation episode where she kept trying to snap abed out of the claymation world. but she's evolved into adapting to abed's needs and his own coping mechanisms with the cloning machine which i think is the mark of a great friend. she's proven herself time and time again to be a good person and this part definitely is no exception.
He only says "I love you" to Britta. I will be forever mad about how their relationship went down.
That damn gas leak.
yeah nah their relationship was so weird and it completely contradicts how troy viewed and treated women
They were way better off as friends imo.. i don't think troy suits a relationship and neither does britts really
I will be too. They really had the potential to be awesome. Troy is the sweetest and would've helped Britta with her self esteem issues, and Britta would've been a perfect dose of reality that Troy sometimes desperately needed. Goddamn you gas leak year 😩
Theatrical 🧨
When I first watched this show, this scene was the end for me. Pierce and Troy were two of my top 3 favourite characters from the show, and having them both exit as the start of season 5 was such a huge blow to me.
It took me over a year to eventually come back and finish the rest of it. Community had its ups and downs. Even Dan Harmon who was aware of TV shows having a natural shelf life couldn't fully protect this show from aging gracefully, but I still feel bitter-sweet about the imperfections and this is still my favourite TV show of all time. I'm so glad the world gets to see this (I hear about new people discovering and falling in love with it to this day)
#andamovie
I guess. I mean I personally liked all seasons equally. Mainly because the last seasons added Keith David. But I am biased because I love Keith David
#andamovie
EDIT: OH, and the sweet and innocent version of Chang.
This is honestly one of the best scenes ever filmed for television. It all just comes together perfectly and evokes all the right emotions.
1:54 is the saddest part out of this entire goodbye sequence. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s beautiful
The end of the last goofy adventure till the movie that is
There was a finality to it
All I could think was how painful hitting the floor would be
I get that. It's as if Troy is dying to his life at Greendale.

Goodbye Jeff, Annie, Britta, Abed, Troy, Shirley and Pierce. Best community we had the pleasure of watching, you gave us a lot for four seasons.
3 seasons, four was ehhh
@@6QUANTUM9 that's true, I meant more so that they were all in the show still by season 4, but that very season wasn't their best.
This is why community is in my top 10 shows of all time, the showrunners have somehow been able to get the dna of some of the funniest comedy ever made and mix it with the dna of some of the saddest-but-sweetest parts of tv shows, and instead of creating a huge mess, they created community, a show that has never got worse as seasons go bit instead got better
Thank you community, #sixseasonsandamovie
i dont know why i keep coming back to relive the heartbreak. This scene hits me in the feels every single goddamn time. its like re-reading a breakup letter because its written in such a poetic fashion.
Michael Scott, 10th Doctor, and Troy Barnes had the best goodbye episodes ever in the history of Television
10 and 11 doctors are tied for saddest exits
i don’t normally cry but this scene got me
i really hope troy comes back
Bruh same. I never cry during television, EVER, so I wasn't expecting to cry at all during this episode (even though I knew it was going to break my heart).
Enter this scene - there were silent tears rolling down my cheeks as I sob. MY EMOTIONS! MY EMOTIONS!
You guys, I *never* cry but...
Troy and abed are no loonger
The way they played come sail away, making a reference to when that's how he'd cry in the first season is so good I hate it for it😭
I’m so happy I started this when Netflix added it. I love this show.
This was such a beautiful and well written goodbye... I cant watch it without crying💔
Troy and Annie's goodbye is the most heartwarming thing ever
Abeds voice crack makes me emotional
I feel like Abed and Troy’s goodbye was so short and wasted. They could have a much better goodbye, but whatever they still made me cry.
if it makes you feel any better, there is a full version of their goodbye with more dialogue and that shows how much they meant to each other. the scene is supposed to go:
Abed: Clone Troy...
@@lilenwasnothere6867 thx
I think that's just how goodbyes are. You can never say enough, or what you need to.
In all my years of watching TV, only two individual episodes of tv ever made me cry. This one, and the Community series finale. It’s a real testament to this show that they had two different episodes do this to me.
Damn it, how are you guys so good at coming up with the perfect music for the mood that'll most definitely try to ignite the tears?! Till the end...
Ugh. Clone Abed's face when Clone Troy still takes his soul with him.
This scene never fails to make me cry.
I miss him
This was the only episode that made me cry (every time I watch it) It breaks my heart seeing Troy and Abed splitting.
Btw... Love Donald Glover💜
The D&D one was also very emotional for me
The series finale when Jeff hugged Abed twice goodbye brought on some tears for me also
I fought back tears when they were locked in the basement and Jeff remembered flashback quotes and I full on cried in the last episode of season 6
No more Troy and Abed in the morning 😢
Same here. Only time this show made me cry.
Man, this is heartbreaking
I love the bit between Troy and Jeff, he’s still trying to be cool like Jeff and he lets him know he finest have to be cool like Jeff he’s already cool because of who he is
I cant watch this again, it breaks my heart!💔 I loved Troy and Abeds relationship, they made my heart smile😭
I wish I could find this version of Come Sail Away. I love it so much
I cried so hard during the troy and abed moments the first time I watched this episode, and now I still shed a tear or two during their goodbye each time I watch it
I know I can't be the only one that found post-apocalypse Britta incredibly attractive.
pat2rome idk y Troy wasn’t all over or Jeff
That's respect for characters!!
Excellent writing!!!!!
This episode always makes me cry because we're never gonna get this version of come sail away publicly released.
this moment is streets behind 😢
This is/was probably the singular scene in TV that makes/made me cry more and feel more emotions than any other. The perfect sendoff
Community was never the same without Troy and abed in the morning
Losing Troy is awful, and always makes me well up a bit when I get to this episode. There's also that massive feeling of loss, just not just for Troy being absent, but the special chemistry between he and Abed being gone too. Add in losing Pierce, who is better every time I binge, and S5 is tough to get through. S1 to 3 is a 20 out 10. The rest is as good/better as anything out there, which says a lot about the quality of this show. Can't wait for the movie, hope Chevy comes back!!
I don't watch too many tv shows, but i think this is one of the best character sendoff i've ever seen.
This is like the one episode that actually made me sad
Donald Glover should make the movie with the help of Dan Harmon with Troy coming back.
Daniel Studart yeah, sad but true
Ask them this on Twitter, they'll be on a script reading on may 18th👀
@@danielstudart2062 lmao they just had stream where they all met up again the other day, the only real thing stopping the movie now is this whole corona fiasco
I recently broke up with someone I truly loved. And honestly watching this feels painful but good. I don't know what I'm going to do without him but I think the clone of me will be just fine.
Britta looks so beautiful while sending off Troy... I don’t know why
I don’t know what to do, my whole brain is crying!
Childish tycoon oh my bad gambino
I think this might be one of my favorite scenes in the whole show. While it is very sad it shows how far Troy’s character development and how connected he really was with them all
Troy and Britta had a strong connection even without them dating (I also think that he did love Britta and them breaking up was a sort of “right person, wrong time” type deal)
Troy saying how he wishes he could’ve been Annie’s friend for longer really shows his development because even in season 1 they still had their high school relationship but they grew to become close friends
Troy always looked up to Jeff as “Mr. Cool” which is shown in his 21st birthday episode and Jeff telling Troy how cool he really is shows how he respects him and he isn’t jealous of Troy taking his title of Mr Cool anymore like he was in the pizza timeline episode
Shirley’s goodbye was great because of the callback when they competed in the PE episode to see who the most badass one is.
Even though Pierce didn’t get a goodbye his will represents it because he always saw Troy as a younger version of him like Jeff, which is why he wanted Troy to move in with him and to do the trip so Troy could learn and be better than he ever was
Abed’s is self-explanatory (but I wish that they did their handshake one last time even though Troy stole it from RUclips)
This broke my heart too much. Cmon Community where's the movie!? #sixseasonsandamovie
Even thinking about it makes me cry
Almost cried right there
come sail away is in my show choir setlist for this coming year and im not gonna be able to learn it without crying i swear
Best scene of the show
I regret I wasnt sad when I watched that episode, I was certain they would introduce him back....... I thought, they cant just replace him or get rid of him as he is so crucial to the story and balancing Abed
Flopilop without Troy , the series seemed very odd and strange, couldn’t really feel that vibe the show had
Exactly how I feel
I cried so hard in this scene I had a headache the rest of the day
To me.....this is when "Community" officially ended.
Part of me really hoped that they would pull an "Office" move and have Troy show up unexpectedly in the finale.
Ah well, here's hoping we get that movie now with the rising popularity
Come sail away by Styx has to be a reference to season 1 where Troy says it makes him cry
Anyone notice Troy only said “I love you” to Britta? 😯😯😯😯
I feel like she was the one that needed to hear it the most
Imo that implies there's something still their between the two and suggests there's potential to characterize their relationship in the eventual movie. Better than what season 4 did for them.
Yep. I think it was meant to be ambiguous whether it’s platonic or romantic. Or maybe a bit of both.
As someone who grew up with major asburgers , it is goodness, and most importantly, PATIENCE !! kindness that will make us all whole and loved, at the very least, feel appreciated and acknowledged.
I’m so glad Troy got a good send off. I felt like Shirley got such a lackluster send off, and Pierce… but at least Troy got a really good one.
Shirley was out of the blue
2:39 The way she hugs him maybe its bg score but it feels like a real hug u give someone when u know they r gonna leave u🥲
