It's been, what, 5 years since i've read homestuck and i STILL can't get over the Spades Slick vs Snowman confrontation at 5:20 It's just so perfect, the clever transitions, the way they played with the framing going so fast yet never feeling confused, the limitations of only having 4 pics of Snowman and 3 (3!) of SS and yet feeling like a full blown battle, the short dialogue and the realization hitting the reader about what was going to happen next, THIS VERSION OF FLAREE THAT CHECKS OUT ALL THE BOXES AA There's other big moments that i love in HS flashes, like the entirety of game over, descend that also goes with what i consider the best transitions of the audiovisual medium (SO much information is given in just 4 minutes!! I can't get over it!!), but cascade is just The Big Climax of what's been building since the very beggining of the comic and by far my fav flash. And yet, my fav scene out of it, is this one that lasts only a minute between two minor characters. Maybe that's the magic of HS that has been lost recently??, idk. Spades' story was managed really frustratingly (Alongside other stuff in this comic, personally I would've preferred he stayed dead), but looking back on it, it's nice he got this neat little scene.
I noticed something, lil cal wasn't the only one who made Gamzee insane. Cause it showed what must of been the last conversation that he had before insanity. At the end has dr.scratch's white text saying "suckers" like he just fooled someone
I shall never forget how my old laptop ruined this for me... It fell asleep at the 10:00 mark and it had ended by the time I got it to wake back up... I got the full experience later, but it just wasn't the same. I have since upgraded my laptop so it will never do that again. :P
Ancient post but like Deeplo said they were doing it to prevent Jack from being able to cross sessions. We already knew it wasn't gonna happen cause Jack already crossed sessions. It's basically just a continuity check.
