She went to her childhood home because it was abandoned (so no one would show up) and so that she could make peace with her trauma before she died. Unfortunately, making peace with her mother made her think she could also defeat the demon, since it is trauma based, and she thought she could use mind games on it. She was wrong in both regards. Also (for 29:56), if you look in the background of shots, her voss water bottles are usually full, even after she has downed them. The demon tricked her into thinking she was doing the one healthy habit she had when in reality it was dehydrating her. Weaken the body, weaken the mind.

When Gemma said she hasn’t seen her in a year when they were in the car it made me realize that’s why Sky’s mom didn’t say hi back to Gemma at the Loft
The beginning didn't show "6 days ago", it showed 6 days after the end of 1st movie- time period since the officer got infected after witnessing the Psychiatrist. It is a genuine assumption to make that the cop and Riley were involved in the same incident. And it could be easily assumed that the cop's accident happened a year ago and we are witnessing a time skip with Skye in Drew Barrymore's show. Until we are shown that the accidents were separate incidences, and Skye never mentions that she hit someone- rather the only other person involved in the accident was the driver himself. I assumed the same as Mell did here. And I'm sure many tried to put those 2 and 2 together.
35:38 my friends and I have come up with the theory that the upside down shots (in both movies) indicate when the stuff that’s about to happen in the movie is in the character’s head and isn’t real.

I don't think it would have. The demon feeds on trauma, so as long as the brain is alive, the demon can still feed off of it. The hallucinations, delusions- all of it is related to brain, so if a virus is in the brain itself- stopping the heart would achieve nothing. And Morris' plan rested on brain being kept alive in order to bring Skye back.

I think Smile 3 is just gonna be like an apocalypse type movie where a whole city is infected by the demon, so it becomes impossible to stop at that point, unless maybe the city gets nuked but then they always do that bit where one victim survives, and the cycle repeats itself. Unless they really arent gonna do anymore Smile movies, then that won't happen at the end

I love Naomi Scott in this! She was incredible! Her performance is one of my favorites all year, it was Oscar worthy! I felt her anxiety and I felt like I was going insane with her. She did a sensational job in her role! I wasn’t expecting to love this film as much as the first one, which I already loved. Voss water was not on purpose. The director likes the looks glass bottles and was not an advertisement. The main actress deserves a Oscar b/c it’s not easy being scared and stress all the time
One thing I didn't realize until now since Ive seen alot of reactions but noticed it on yours since you kept that part in.....there was no blood on the blanket when she wiped it, of course blood doesnt dry that fast and she never got none on her sweater either, kinda hidden in plain sight that the whole scenario with the mom was fake.
Jade rollers and such are so awesome to help inflammation go away and it's a helpful tool to relax especially when they're cold. I have horrible jaw pain which induces inflammation so the tools def help :)
Naomi Scott, the girl in this movie, was pretty good in Power Rangers, the cinematic reboot from 2017. She’s also iconic because of that movie. You should check it out. 👍🏻
If you go deeper into the credits you’ll hear a creepy remix of her screaming/crying (post car crash scene), gave me chills. I think it’s reaction worthy!
And to think, she was in Lemonade Mouth as the bass player and now she has become such an amazing actress. My best movie this year is Venom 3, but this is the best horror movie from this year.

What’s crazy is the ending, her whole concert seen her off herself and it was probably recorded on camera and put on social media. So the 3rd movie is going to be insane.

I will admit Voss water has a nice bottle, although the glass ones are expensive, but the plastic ones are cheaper.
