I remember as a kid having the Sega Nomad and my mind just bending at being able to play my console on the go. This would just melt my brain back in 95.
The crazy world of Chinese emulation handhelds. I've heard that scientists are ditching the atomic clock, because the cadence of emulation handhelds coming out of China is more accurate.
The fact that it plays Marvel vs Capcom 2 with no lag.... is mind blown 😯 insane! Anyway... awesome review. I have just joined your channel and we are connected now 🙂
The reteoid 2s and the 3+ starts to play some ps2 at around the 100 dollar mark. But as others have said the rp4 pro is the first 200 dollar handheld that can play just about all of the ps2 games on it at at least 1x resolution and a lot of them at 2x.
That's not going to happen unless someone picks up the development of the android version of ps2 emulator. You can only brute force games with hardware for so long with the current state of Aethersx2.
I mena for the most part it seems decent. NES, SNES, Genesis, CD, Game Gear, GB/GBC & GBA...AND PS1 are most all of what I would want. But it also can do Game & Watch? As well as Atari, maybe even N64 eventually, since i think I saw Dreamcast on there. No Sega Saturn, but that would be an easy fix. Couple other things on there, including WONDERSWAN lmao :P WHich I am sitll intrigued by, as well as the lil poke tomogatchi looking icon. AND Neo Geo? This things pretty cool ngl.
I'm glad they released the horizontal version, and because of that, I now own one. Recieved mines last saturday from Amazon, Mortal Kombat on mame runs at full speed, so now I'm able to play the rom hacks of it. The stock firmware sucks though.
I bought the rg35xx because it's the gameboy form factor. Buy the one with the form factor you want for the games you want to play. I just wanted gb and nes play.
I brought this up on Reddit about this mad collection thing of cheap Chinese Handhelds and why folk do it... To me it's insane when they virtually all do the same
I ordered one just yesterday (the sexy little clear-purple one, cos why not?) 😊 … … I wanted a cheap, tiny one (something that kinda gave retro Game’n’Watch vibes) to sit next to my desk setup for the occasional arcade-game blast during work meetings … seems to run more games than I wanted it to ✅ … with tax they’re going for around £41 on Aliexpress at the moment 😎 an absolute steal for a little pocket rocket (if it works) 😆
Do you find it uncomfortable holding your thumbs up at all times because the joystick s are directly beneath? I always like to lay my hands/thumbs flat.
TikTok got me on this one, lol! It's pretty sweet for the price point though! I'm already looking at getting a 25ft hdmi cable to play on my Tv. Great review!
I am very much on the fence about getting this unit, I am just worried that 3 to 6 months down the line they will come out with something similar that has better hardware for a similar pricepoint. I personally would love for a budget handheld that can easily run PS2 games on it. I might have to wait quite awhile for something like that though (That isn't mega expensive)
What's your budget? The Retroid Pocket 4 just dropped and it Pro model can handle PS2. Anbernic leaked a new handheld that will most likely sit in between the Pocket 4 and Pocket 4 Pro in power called the RG556.
@@bchaozgamer4282 unfortunately it's not really possible to buy a PS2 capable device for the ~$100 price point. There may be some that are a little over that capable of playing a handful of PS2 games, but not without a lot of tweaking and no guarantee that the games you want will run at all. However this is definitely the year for affordable PS2 capable devices, and we could be a matter of weeks or months away from something that fits your requirements. Personally I'm hoping the RG556 which just leaked is under $150 as it should be able to handle at least half the PS2 games available
I gotta treat myself to Anbernic device. These look so good. A guy a know has the RG35XX and I got to try it when he got his. Works very well with what I tried. I’d love to get one of the dual boot ones. RG-ARC D or RG-353P
Nice video..What you will choose between Anbernic 35xx H / Anbernic 35xx /Anbernic 35xx plus and why please?How much the Anbernic 35xx h please?Where you got the Anbernic 35xx h please?
I just can't see myself spending money on another handheld that isn't Android or Windows at this time. My current handheld is an Anbernic RG505, and even though it IS flawed, I love it more than my Steam Deck. One day the performance overhead in a new device will justify spending the money again.
Right now Anbernic is about to come out with the RG556 the performance is on par with a Dimensity 900. However the best Android Handheld to Purchase today is the Odin 2.
@@Guitario666 Nah, $370 is not a good deal. I am waiting for the next envelope of performance overhead in the $150-175 range. Retroid Pocket 4 Pro is almost there for me. Whatever comes next surely will be.
I’m so burned out on these. There’s about 500 of them now. I’ve given up trying to keep up on which is best lol. Gonna just stick with my Pocket and let these go
I got a non-anbernic, super cheap handheld recently, about half the price of what this thing does and goes "up to psp" but the psp doesn't work so great. Outside of that the one I got is really good, minus maybe some issues with how it saves games and no hdmi compatibility. This may be the far better system though, considering it can actually run god of war psp of all things
I just wish a youtuber gave a recommendation for the strongest handheld put there that can handle evrrything up to gamecube n64 and maybe ps2 and below cause idk which one will guarantee me that performance
It is constantly changing whats available and its difficult to give a solid recommendation based on just the systems you want to play... it may sound convoluted but I dont know if you want something that has the games already built in... if thats the case its crazy hard to recommend anything because even when they sell them that way I cannot guarantee the build will have what you want on it or will be 100% playable. But if you just want something that will for sure play those games but you may have to set it up yourself, download a build or buy one... then Id more recommend something thats more a handheld PC like a Steam Deck or my favorite the ASUS ROG ALLY. Those are both powerhouse emulation machines that wont give you problems with the consoles you listed and even higher up than those.
I bought the vertical version that looks like a Gameboy. The gameplay is good but the standby battery sucks! Nothing worse that going to pick up your handheld and the battery is dead!
I’m here because my second gen Analogue Pocket is TRASH! Currently looking for a replacement to the pocket and will have to go down the classic emulation route.

I have the 351. Great quality good battery. I paid $20 new at local flea market
