Man, I really wish this worked properly. It lets me open up MPC Beats in Logic Pro X, but after about a minute or two of playback, If I press the space it won't playback anything correctly. It's basically frozen at that point. Hope they get this right.

I'm seriously considering selling my mpc one because of this crap. Wish it had a more intuitive and simpler integration with logic. Something similar to all the other softsynths and being able to use the device freely as a midi controller.

I keep watching this video. I can run it as a plug-in fine. but short of mute my whole project then bouncing the project to keep the beat, then re-adding it to the project as a wav file, I can't get the other things to work. When I render the audio it sounds different each time. Sometimes I can get this to work and sometimes I can't. At one point I was able to get some of the samples into drum machine designer, but now I have no idea.
I have both the MPC studio and MPC Renaissance, both worked in Logic pro x until the update. now I am unable to get either of them to sync, or all the vst plugins when is AKAI going to fix all this.

if you import the midi to Logic and play, the MPC still is playing from the sequence on the MPC. So I have one 8 bar midi region in place on a Logic track with the MPC plugin so it can control the MPC in controller mode but its still plays after this 8 bars because the MPC continues to loop the sequence on the MPC.
So this: after I’ve created my project with a bunch of sequences in my living room- I take the MPC down to the MAC in the basement with Logic X on it. How do I load up all that work I just did upstairs into my MAC in the basement to start my new song? This is the workflow that I want.

How do I add extra bars to the sync? It seems like the loop always starts on the one. Say you want your song to start on the 2nd bar in Logic because you have a Vocal thats starts before the 1 for example. Or you squeeze in and extra bar between Verse and Chorus. Then the beat will be a bar off. Can I tell MPC where it's sync-start points are?

I know i can use Hype separate, but i would like to create full project in Beats that i can export to the Force (with the archive function, i tried it and it works more or less). Producing something in my DAW with the Beats plugin, and then exporting to Force is just so freaking awesome. I use the Force to perform it live and to really tweak it.
I need to be able to have individual drums from the MPC studio Mk2 plug in within MOTU Digital Performer mixer on separate channels of the DAW mixer. So I can mix them live without committing them to audio thus ending thus creative process of drum pattern playing/programming. I would output each MOTU DP channel with separate MPC studio Mk2 plug in drums to separate audio outputs on my audio I/O for analogue monitoring and mixing. 1. Can the MPC studio software plug in output individual drums to separate mixer channels in a DAW mixer? 2. If using the MPC software as a standalone application, can individual mixer channels be output to separate audio I/O outputs for analogue monitoring and mixing? I want to be able to mix my drums without having to print them. So I can always switch patterns, play new patterns and even jam live by switching patterns along with other musicians while mixing individual drums on the DAW mixer or an analogue mixer.

What's the point of using MPC inside another DAW? What are the iconic MPC features? Is it just the sound library aspect? I was curious in the ease of use claim of MPC beats, but after watching this it seems burdensome to even bother with MPC inside of Logic. Why not just have an MPC layout sampler plugin that makes it easy to control the samples through midi? That would be really useful. The practical problems with this workflow of MPC beats inside another DAW: 1. Unstable and unreliable due to a hidden coupling of being on the right sequence in MPC beats 2. Lack of control of the individual hits for the same reason 3. The workaround of bouncing to audio is tedious as well as prevents you in from making changes easily. It's like writing a book iterating on drafts start to finish with a pen instead of using a modern typing editor on a computer. I do see the value if you have no other option and really want a sound found in MPC beats, and in that case it would be a huge improvement to just have an MPC layout sampler plugin that makes it easy to control the samples through midi, as opposed to syncing in MPC's sequencer.
Same...when I press record on mpc beats I cant record a groove, it can record to a logic track but not directly into MPC beats so I dont get the mpc groove - whats going on?
Great vid and I love how MPC hits but when I create a pattern using MPC beats it always goes out of sync with the track and I end up having to go back to Maschine.

I really like how MPC hits but the sync problem is too much! What takes me 5mins with Maschine, MPC beats take 20mins. Also I really wanted to get MPC X but I changed my mind cause of this.

I haven’t used my mpc in controller mode yet. If I’m using mpc live 2 with logic. Can I select sounds and samples from the mpc or do I have to find sounds and samples within the plug-in?
I tried this method and got a "An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Pro." message. Is that because my Mac book is an M1 model? I tried Rosetta, but it didn't work.

No no people your still running of the same sound engine it doesnt maybe what you pull in. There's a reason why there's a separate unit for the MPC. It does everything different than a computer.

Once installed, open Logic. It should automatically scan your plugins folder. Create an instrument track and Akai Professional > MPC in the plugin list.
@@AkaiProVideo thanks, I did realise this but essentially I want to use the AIR Music Technology plug-ins / Akai effects on audio already in Logic. Figured I cant do that and downloaded Air Musics Creative Collection as a demo to see if I really need it natively for Logic.
MPC Beats only lets you run one instance at a time even as a plugin...so far not a big fan of this daw, AKAI should really bring back essentials, only advantage is two tracks instead of one

MPC Beats SUCK!!! with Logic Pro X cause it does not sync properly. U can even see when he drags the audio into logs it does not line up worth the grid. I also have Maschine and if I have 4/8/12 bars in Logic and when I create drum pattern and drag audio from Machine it gives me whatever bar I played in Logic and fits the grid like a puzzle. I just took all the sounds from MPC Beats and used them on Maschine, done!

This simply doesn't work for me. As soon as I use mpc beats with logic the midi mapping goes out the window and it's unusable. Mpc one logic 10.6

I want to be able to mix my drums without having to print them. So I can always switch patterns, play new patterns and even jam live by switching patterns along with other musicians while mixing individual drums on the DAW mixer or an analogue mixer.

Hello! Right after I load MPC Beats as the video my Logic crashes immediately with and error message. All programs are fresh installs. What can be the solution?

What's the point of using MPC inside another DAW? What are the iconic MPC features? Is it just the sound library aspect? I was curious in the ease of use claim of MPC beats, but after watching this it seems burdensome to even bother with MPC inside of Logic. Why not just have an MPC layout sampler plugin that makes it easy to control the samples through midi? That would be really useful.
The practical problems with this workflow of MPC beats inside another DAW:
1. Unstable and unreliable due to a hidden coupling of being on the right sequence in MPC beats
2. Lack of control of the individual hits for the same reason
3. The workaround of bouncing to audio is tedious as well as prevents you in from making changes easily. It's like writing a book iterating on drafts start to finish with a pen instead of using a modern typing editor on a computer.
I do see the value if you have no other option and really want a sound found in MPC beats, and in that case it would be a huge improvement to just have an MPC layout sampler plugin that makes it easy to control the samples through midi, as opposed to syncing in MPC's sequencer.

Same...when I press record on mpc beats I cant record a groove, it can record to a logic track but not directly into MPC beats so I dont get the mpc groove - whats going on?

Great vid and I love how MPC hits but when I create a pattern using MPC beats it always goes out of sync with the track and I end up having to go back to Maschine.

@@snagaragpicruag because whenever I use MPC beats to make a beat it goes out of sync with the track and I have always to go back to Maschine. I really like how MPC hits but the sync problem is too much! What takes me 5mins with Maschine, MPC beats take 20mins. Also I really wanted to get MPC X but I changed my mind cause of this.

@@456Edot Hopefully you have all the wires connects and the software installed cause I figure you would set it up and use it like I use my MPK Mini and use MPC Beats, no? It has to come up as a plug-in.

I haven’t used my mpc in controller mode yet. If I’m using mpc live 2 with logic. Can I select sounds and samples from the mpc or do I have to find sounds and samples within the plug-in?
Your MPC Live 2 and MPC 2 desktop software have the same sound content library so you'll have access to the same sounds.
What's the difference between Mpc beats and the mpc app that I already have installed on my computer?
MPC 2 Desktop Software has additional features like more instrument and audio tracks.
I tried this method and got a "An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Pro." message. Is that because my Mac book is an M1 model? I tried Rosetta, but it didn't work.

No no people your still running of the same sound engine it doesnt maybe what you pull in. There's a reason why there's a separate unit for the MPC. It does everything different than a computer.

how do i use the mpc beats vsts in Logic Pro?
Once installed, open Logic. It should automatically scan your plugins folder. Create an instrument track and Akai Professional > MPC in the plugin list.
@@AkaiProVideo thanks, I did realise this but essentially I want to use the AIR Music Technology plug-ins / Akai effects on audio already in Logic. Figured I cant do that and downloaded Air Musics Creative Collection as a demo to see if I really need it natively for Logic.
MPC Beats only lets you run one instance at a time even as a plugin...so far not a big fan of this daw, AKAI should really bring back essentials, only advantage is two tracks instead of one

MPC Beats SUCK!!! with Logic Pro X cause it does not sync properly. U can even see when he drags the audio into logs it does not line up worth the grid. I also have Maschine and if I have 4/8/12 bars in Logic and when I create drum pattern and drag audio from Machine it gives me whatever bar I played in Logic and fits the grid like a puzzle. I just took all the sounds from MPC Beats and used them on Maschine, done!

Akai's quality support between Logic is horrid. Every update or firmware patch multi-output disappears. It just so unreliable and ruins workflow.

when you open it you should be able to select you last projects
