HAVE YOU EVER READ A WLW BOOK? I was 24 when i read my first one yikes, i wish there was more around when i was younger🌈 please leave your lesbian/sapphic book recs below, bc maybe a gay reading this might really like that book! (and also so galpal can read more lol) P.S. if you rather watch gay things than read, we rated lesbian kisses from movies/shows → ruclips.net/video/D6v6ThsnTrY/видео.html
@@FALLEN_ANGEL871 the internet can help you with that. All the books are also online. I assume by your comment you are from a country where being gay is illegal, so just remember to use private browsing and maybe even a VPN just to stay save. i like how you also include if the cover is explicitly queer for people who want to be more discrete/are in the closet!! that's really thoughtful of you and very helpful for a lot of us!!
You need to read ´she gets the girl´ by Alyson Derrick and Rachael Lippincott, it's such a lighthearted, nice and quick read with no unnecessary drama. I finished it in two sittings cause it was so good

Thank you for the recomendations gal pal! I like to read and would love to start reading LGBTQ books! Please do a part two sometime i would really apprreciate it!
If any of you like light novels and manga, I have some recommendations: - The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady: the Main character is a canonical lesbian and she rescues this noble girl who was about to marry her brother. It’s a coming-out story through the noble’s girls perspective (since the main character is already out), mixed with isekai and magic. - girl friends: a manga about the shy girl in class that becomes friend with this super preppy girl. It’s a really cute and an honest coming-out story. It helped me out a lot. - how do we relationship?: a manga about these girls in college that get together since they’re the only lesbians at that college, mixed with being in a music band.

She Drives Me Crazy by Kelly Quindlen is a really good WLW Book❤!! It's a coming of age book with a lot of good late 70's to 90's romance trops. Good for 14 and up😀
Thank you so much for these!! I have been looking all over for gay books but you just made it a whole lot easier. We all need more gayness in our lives ;)

I read nevernight. Its great, can recommend. I have three recommendations for you two! 1. Malice by heather walter. Amazing story about basically being an outcast who can not be cast out. The MC is 'bad' or at least everyone else thinks so (not gonna spoil) also the ending will definitely surprise you. love it 2 Aurora's angel by emily noon is my personal favorite book ever. it is her first and only book (so far) and its a really nice fantasy story about an avian woman and a feline like character travelling together through this magical land after the avian broke her wings and I'm all for it. 3. Its a series. Soldier of Dorsa by Eliza Andrews is the first in the series. Its also fantasy (you might see a theme here with the stuff i read ^^) kinda medieval with magic, but it doesnt really turn too magic until the second book. Difficult to tell what its about without spoiling stuff, just read it, its great. Have a lovely day you two, kisses from Germany
I’m currently in the car with gal pal and quickly mentioned the books you recommended! Pretty sure she read malice like a week ago haha 🌈 and tysm for adding your recommendations 💜 have a lovely day too !! Love all the way from Australia!

to young readers who aren't out of the closet, I'd recommend the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. It is a dystopian world separated by blood. Nothing will tell you it's gay, the front and the back don't say anything abt it. But in the 2nd or 3rd book it plants settle gay stuff. One of the characters has a gf sorta deal but she can't marry her, it doesn't ever say why as far as I'm reading it, probably you couldn't marry same-sex. But there isn't much.

My absolute top WLW books is Delilah Green Doesn't Care by Ashley Herring Blake; it's a rom com, there's some genuinely funny moments, but also a lot of cute, sweet and hot stuff. I'm genuinely in love with it and will recommend it until the end of time.
My favorite queer books that have just come out in the last couple years are “Some Girls Do”, “The lucky list”, and “Ophelia After All”. Love this vid, you guys are so cute! I’m reading Nevernight now!
I've startet listening the nevernight series on spotify( I dont know if its available in English. But it is in German). I really like when a book breaks you in to thousands pieces. Not because you are sitting the next 2 days and can't stop thinking about how they could have avoided that. But because it shows that the book achieved what a book want to achieve. That you got emotionally hooked.
I had to skip the part about The Priory of the Orange Tree, I'm currently reading it!! I recommend "Breaking Legacies" by Zoe Reed, I love it so much. And Gentleman Jack is *chef's kiss*

I would recommend "One last stop" by Casey McQuiston. It's a very cute romance with found family and so much queer rep. "Gideon the ninth" by Tamsin Muir is also an amazing book. It's not a romance, it's sci-fi/fantasy, but most of the characters are queer and the protagonist is a butch lesbian. One of my favorite books ever. "The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo" by Taylor Jenkins Reid is a very popular book (well deserved) that is *chefs kiss* I would also recommend "The falling in love montage" by Ciara Smith and "Heartsopper" (the series and the comics)
‘Everyone in this Room will Someday be Dead’ is a book I read recently with no real inclination as to what it was about except for the title. Picked it up randomly at an airport and it’s a book that I feel like a lot of people especially me can deeply relate too. Highly recommend ! Don’t think I’ve seen a lot of people talking about it !
I’ve actually read a horror book called “the Fear Zone” by K.R. Alexander and there was a gay mlm couple later in the first out of two books. They even said once “i wonder if my mom will allow him to have a sleepover with me even though he is gay” and when they first met they had the POV where they said how cute the other boy was. I was in 4th or 5th grade (2 or 3 years ago) when i read it and it was awesome.
I will definitely read all these books, and I would also recommend sweet and bitter magic, it’s about a witch and another girl who has magic powers and how they go from enemies to lovers

The 8th graders prepare to perform Romeo and Juliet which adds to the plot. Highly recommend! -Timekeeper trilogy (mlm) by Tara Sim is a steampunk gay romance, though I’d recommend it for older teens since there’s some darker topics introduced in the 2nd and 3rd books. I’m currently reading the third book and I feel like it’s such an underrated series None of these books have cover designs that would imply they’re queer, but the summaries do, in case you need to be careful about that. Happy reading!!!

imogen, obviously is one of my favourites along with some more books with romance sublots such as the priory of the orange tree and she who became the sun (the w/w 🌶🌶🌶 in that one was probably the best ive ever read)
I read a good bit of lesfic and some solid authors I've found are Haley Cass, Erica Lee, Nicole Pylund, Robin Alexander and Jae. A few good titles are Some Part of Me Is You, The Beast That Never Was and The Dark Wife. Most of these include physical stuff. Also some of these are on Kindle unlimited.
Another sapphic book I've heard is really good is "Nightwood" by Djuna Barnes. Idk if is as great as they claim it to be since I'm currently reading it, but the reason I bought it is because is sapphic so... 😂
I'm planning on reading this poison heart in a few months I absolutely loved Cinderella is dead great read Hani and ishu guide to fake dating is really good
Oh don’t you worry, that video will be coming! We filmed it before our little trip away to Uluṟu a few weeeks ago, but I didn’t get to finish editing it. So hopefully that’ll be up after the Pride month stuff!!
Ah yes! I watched all of that! Actually couple months ago gal pal and I started to rewatch it for fun haha. Tis very good. Was like the first gay thing I watched just as I was realising I was not straight 🙈
Hey Lauren - I'm not sure about your financial situation but saw the Thanks button and thought I would contribute. I'm super gender fluid and love your stuff !!

There is tv series, not sure if it was Netflix, that followed the same theme as the Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating. I don't think it was the full title but it was an English series about two girls who got together for the same reason. One was definitely from an Indian family but I'm not sure about the other.
Have you read If You Could Be Mine and Tell Me Again How A Crush Should Feel by Sara Farizan? The former is probably one of my favorite lesbian books of all time, it takes place in one of the countries (i forget which) where its illegal to be gay (tho its legal to be trans) and theres an arranged marriage for one girl but her love interest the mc tries to transition to a guy so itll be legal for her to be with the girl whos stuck with the arranged marriage. And Tell Me Again How A Crush Should Feel is about this girl Leila who falls for the new girl and struggles with her feelings and if she should come out or not. I think both of these are best for people who are already oit or not worried about people seeing what theyre reading cause the covers have like girls holding hands and the blurbs talk about lesbian. Hope you like them
I know anyone won’t see this]s and even tho it’s not a WLW centered book you should read When You Call My Name it’s about these 2 guys who are gay one is named Ben and the other is named Adam the book is set in the late 90s and has 2 storylines in one book it’s a little hard to understand at first and a little boring but the further you get it gets better
i actually tried to start reading this over the new year but i couldnt get into it / it was hard to read, even at a 26y/o. I'm going to give it another go at a later point haha

-Timekeeper trilogy (mlm) by Tara Sim is a steampunk gay romance, though I’d recommend it for older teens since there’s some darker topics introduced in the 2nd and 3rd books. I’m currently reading the third book and I feel like it’s such an underrated series
None of these books have cover designs that would imply they’re queer, but the summaries do, in case you need to be careful about that.
Happy reading!!!
Thank you so much for these recs! Really detailed, I'm adding ALL of them to the list haha
Wow you really provided !!! this is amazing, tysm for sharing this massive list!!
14:22 "Jay Kristoff is Australian so as you can imagine, the swearing is prolific."
Are you ****ing ****ing me. We Aussies don't ****ing cuss like ******-****ing sailors.
Yeah nah we’re too fucking good for that shit 🦘
imogen, obviously is one of my favourites along with some more books with romance sublots such as the priory of the orange tree and she who became the sun (the w/w 🌶🌶🌶 in that one was probably the best ive ever read)
Omg such good recommendations definitely got to check out some of them also love untamed might have to give it a reread 😊
I know right?! So good
Yessss hopefully you find another great book! And yes I think I’ll do the same tbh !!!
I actually love Sunstone as a coming to terms romance wlw graphic novel, it's super inclusive as well... And tons of sweet moments
Honestly I'll give most books a try if they've got lesbiab representation!
I bet I’ll see this book on the bedside table in a couple of weeks 👀🙈
You are beautiful Lauren
Have a great day
Happy Pride ❤️
THAN YOU!!💗I love fantasy gay books!

Oh don’t you worry, that video will be coming! We filmed it before our little trip away to Uluṟu a few weeeks ago, but I didn’t get to finish editing it. So hopefully that’ll be up after the Pride month stuff!!

Hani and ishus guide to fake dating is AMAZING x
Hey Lauren - I'm not sure about your financial situation but saw the Thanks button and thought I would contribute. I'm super gender fluid and love your stuff !!
OH MY GOSHHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH 🥺🥰🥰🥰 I truly appreciate your generosity and your support for my videos & channel, this means a lot to me. You are the first person to use that button, I only just found out about it! I hope you have an amazing weekend. Thank you again.
I’d love to say thank you in a video, Would that be okay with you? (would sharing ur name be okay?)
@@laurenelloise Wow, can't believe I'm the 1st. I was thinking that you should have a Patreon account to help you financially. You're doing so much good for the lgbtq+ community, you're such an asset, I would definitely want to help you out. And I think others would too !
@@laurenelloise Omg, that would be so cool. You're actually making me blush ! Thank You !!!
@@laurenelloise I'm French Canadian so the pronunciation of my name is Ghee Prew (the lx at the end are silent).
Hope you like them
Would Gal pal consider making a bookstagram or book tube account I need more of her Recs
Anything is possible! 🤔 I could definitely be talked into doing a Part 2...
I think I could easily sway you into a part 2 👀🌈✨
I would really recommend girl from the see for teens or tweens
Yes Abby is a famous soccer player
I didn’t know that, that’s so cool! I can’t remember if that was mentioned at all in the book ahahahah
Anne on my mind was also the first lesbian book i ever read !
awww
I read Hani and Ishu and I donte remember the outcasting at all haha. shows that it wasnt too memorable
@@laurenelloise yeah 🤣 it is definitely hard with all the hard handwriting and words I had to finish it cause I got it from the library it was sucha struggle wouldn’t recommend it or read it again 🤣 I can’t wait to find a lesbian book to read 🥰
You're fantasy book recommendations please xx

Yayayaya I’m so happy we’ve provided some new stuff for you!
@@laurenelloise Yeah! In Israel we don't have almost any lgbtq+ books so it's really hard to find them because I can read them only online and it's less fun then holding an actual book but it's better then nothing owo so TY uwu
(btw I might finally won't be single~ an amazing girl and I going on our 1 date in 3 days owowowowo~)
Aw man I can imagine that’s really hard for you! (I also love physical books a lot more). Hopefully some of these you’ll be able to read bc some are really really subtle. And also that’s so cute, I’m wishing you the best 💜💜
