I know this is probably an overshare but I want to thank you. For the longest time I thought I didn't like romance novels...but it turns out I just don't particularly care for het romance novels. Your video that included her name in the sky kind of changed me to be honest. I read the book...cried and am now reading so many w/w saphic novels and am loving it. So once again sorry if this is too much but I honestly didn't even know I was interested in romance until I saw how beautiful and soft it could be :)

Love the large number of books you recommended. I have read some and always welcome more. Here are some sapphic choices I enjoyed: I kissed Shara Wheeler, the Fuancee Farce, Every heart a doorway, The fifth season, Foundryside, This is how you lose a time war, Gideon the Ninth, The never tilting world, Always Alex, Of Ice and Shadows, Midnight Girls, A Dark and Hollow Star, When Women were Warriors, Sweet and Bitter Magic, The Unbroken, The Queen of Leflaria, Queen of Coin and Whispers, The Valyrie's Daughter, Princess of Dorsa, Dating Sarah Cooper, Poppy Jenkins, and The Butterfly Whisperer. This is just a few to have a peruse.

Lady's Guide was the book that made me realize I actually like historical romance when it's sapphic 😂 Also, since you liked the sciency aspect of Into the Drowning Deep, I think you'll love this one too! It has so many technicalities about translation and astronomy, it's amazing

Okay I have some recs. Since you loved Last night at the telegraph club, I think you would love Last Call at the Nightingale. It's not advertised as LGBTQIA+ on storygraph for some reason but its got a bisexual main character who has 2 main love interests (one male, one female) and it takes place in the same time period I believe and theirs a murder and the author used sensitivity readers to try to write the black and Chinese characters experiences in the 1920s as well as possible, so I think you might really like it. Sequel comes out soon!
Also Breaking Character by Lee Winter. It's a sapphic grumpy x sunshine, fake dating. Its australian so it might be hard to find but I finished reading it like mid April and I'm still constantly thinking about it. I wanna read all of her books now.
Also Harley Quinn: Reckoning?? Amazing. Main character his bisexual. She starts the book out having makeout sessions with a guy, but for the majority of the book she has a female love interest. And there's a sequel coming out where she will have a different female love interest and this love interest I sincerely can't wait for because Harley had the same love interest in the harley quinn tv series on HBOMax which I would truly die for. But the first book is a great feminist mystery surrounding who's taking and killing these women but there's a lot of suspects because it's STEM and men are awful and some of the examples of the awful stuff the STEM men were doing were real things that genuinely happened in the STEM field recently. So def highly highly recommend. Will definitely be thinking about this book for a long, long time.

if you want Black sapphics, you have to check out Butter Honey Pig Bread (one of my favourite books) and weight of the stars, they both feature to Black women falling in love.
Other sapphic books I always recommend are Cantoras and Too Much Lip which are set in Uruguay and Australia respectively and delve into really interesting comments on the countries (as an Australian Too Much Lip is super important.

I'd really recommend Plain Bad Heroines by Emily Damforth if you haven't read it! It's this epic huge book set in both the 20th century and today that follows a bunch of sapphic women and relationships accross time, with cursed books and mysterious deaths and movie sets, an all-girl school and a little polyamory... it's great stuff and I'm surprised more ppl don't talk about it

I stan Honey Girl! I do have some recs, if you want.:
For Best Friends to Lovers contemporary romance, I really enjoyed "Chemistry Lessons" , by Jae. Best friends decide to go on a date to prove to everyone that they have no chemistry. Very sweet.
For murderous women/ enemies to lovers, try "Requiem For Immortals" by Lee Winter. Notorious assassin is hired to take out an apparently innocent woman.
For dystopian sapphic pirate action, "Compass Rose" by Anna Burke. Like if Water World was actually good and very queer.
For outlaw alien wild west with an established relationship, "Bluebird" enemiesby T.L. Heinrich.
    Hope you enjoy!

Hi, just wanted to say I think you’ve recommended some really good books here. However, one thing that I noticed in this video is that, while you were making great recommendations and spreading awareness of queer books, you practically only used the word ‘sapphic’ the entire time. Yes it’s accurate to the title of the video, but I feel that you could have used words like ‘bisexual’ and ‘lesbian’ more. You did use bisexual a few times tbf (though you could still have used it more) but as far as I could tell you used the word lesbian once the entire time, and that was over 20 minutes in. There had been multiple books with lesbians by then and lots of lesbian relationships. There was a repeated mention of characters who were ‘sapphics’ and had sapphic relationships, if they were lesbian you could have said that. In ‘clap when the plane lands’ the MC is a lesbian. In ‘crier’s war’ one of the MCs is a lesbian and one is bisexual. They enter a lesbian relationship. Even if I’m wrong and you said ‘lesbian’ twice or three times in the video, that doesn’t seem like enough and is a surprisingly low number when the whole concept of the video discussing is wlw and nmlnm books. It’s not a massive issue, but considering how much stigma there’s been around the word ‘lesbian’ I think it would have been important and positive for you to use that word. It’s not a slur or something, if characters were lesbian or bisexual and had a lesbian relationship then you could call it that.
