Lyrics were pretty simple, But Jesus Christ Skillet sound is coming back fresh! Like I can definitely see collide and comatose feeling with some new stuff

They seem to be doing a lot of Revelation references in this album. Really excited to hear what White Horse sounds like!

I adore this song! It's so on-point. They're getting better and better. I believe you're right on about the lyrics; it sounds like that's exactly what they, particularly John, are trying to say. I don't know if you've heard any of his Cooper Stuff podcasts, but he talks about that kind of stuff a lot. But yeah, they also wanna keep it sounding mainstream enough so as to attract people who don't know Christ. I liked your reaction and your commentary afterward, though I'll also say that I disagree with your assessment of the Unleashed and Victorious albums, especially the latter. I loved them. Everybody's entitled to their opinions, though, so I'm not criticizing you.

I did enjoy Unleashed upon release and still do like some of the songs, my interest in it has just waned over the years since, but yes Victorious I have a hard time with overall. I recommend an excellent metal band with lots of Dio and old-school influences, Narnia. They are from Sweden and are an incredibly strong group with an incredible guitarist. Check out "Enter The Gate".
I haven't really ever gotten INTO them so to speak but I do enjoy their music! I definitely should check out more!

Last album sucked donkey doo doo every song sucked, but so far this album is looking good with two great tracks one catchy asf bringing what we like about skillet and this song witch is so different. Gives me hope for this album but let’s just hope they don’t just put the effort in there singles and then the rest just fall flat lazy garbage.
Well hate to be the debbie downer here but this is probably the worst skillet single to date. This production is absolutely terrible. It’s so noisy and there’s no body to the mix. Lyrically it’s no surprise as all they write is positive anthems so there’s not a lot of creativity there. Jens vocal parts seem no unnecessary and Johns vocal rhythm in the verses is so weird. There’s nothing catchy about this track. I still can’t really recall a decent hook.
It’s just sad cuz there used to be so much heart and depth to their music back in the day. Oh well…as you can see I’m not a fan lol
