Hi, that depends on which program you will choose. There are Bachelor's degree that only takes 1 year, they usually call it the Conversion Program. However, it may be wise to take the two year program especially if you are aiming to become a permanent resident here in Australia.
Hi JC and Lorraine, thanks for the very informative video. My brother-in-law has been a school nurse in an international school for more than 8 years now (he has very minimal experience in a hospital set-up) Kindly advise if that is considered as an full time nursing experience, I reckon it is under the community nurse category? Thank you very much again❤
Hello! How about Community Health experience po? Like the Nurse Deployment Project of the Department of Health in the Phil. Ok lng po ba na ito yung Nursing experience mo? Thank you po. God bless.
Hello guys, I asked AHPRA about community nursing and whether it is accepted for assessment for registration. This is exactly what they said: “Practice means any role, whether remunerated or not, in which the individual uses their skills and knowledge as a health practitioner in their profession. Practice in this context is not restricted to the provision of direct clinical care. It also includes using professional knowledge (working) in a direct non-clinical relationship with clients, working in management, administration, education, research, advisory, regulatory or policy development roles, and any other roles that impact on the safe, effective delivery of services in the profession.”
Thanks Rocky! Unsa imo gi.apas nga entry Rocky? If Health professional ka, AHPRA ghapon imo ideal nga regulatory board pero wa pa mi sure if lain nga profession.... Pwede namo iresearch for you
Hi dear, Tell me that in the NMBA website OBA date extend to 31-03-2020. So is there any chance for Bridging course for those who is apply to aphra before March 2020.
Hello, the NMBA website has updated and extended the release of bridging referral letters to January 31, 2020. For those applying before January 31, 2020, you still have the chance to be given a choice to do the bridging program. The March 2020 that was mentioned is the start date for OBA.

Thank you so much.... And can one only take the OBA there in australia without having yet any job offer and fly back again to where they come from? Thank you again for reponding
Hello, you're welcome! Yes, you do need your English exam results and submit the copy (certified true copy, not the original) along with AGOS-40 form and other requirements. Yes, Germany and PH. You need to ask a certificate of good standing from all the regulating body that you are registered with. Yes, some apply for tourist visa (this info is from our friend) then fly back. Good day!

Hello Sir Gilbert! Thank you so much for appreciating our videos. We definitely made these videos for people like you so we can help. Anyway regarding your question, it could be either way sir. Hi, I have a question. What if someone like my wife, who wants to take the OBA, doesn’t have experience in clinical environment, but in teaching as a university lecturer? The thing is almost every job related with Nursing (Nurse Researcher, Nurse Educator and University Lecturer) requires RN. She has more than 5 years experience as a University Lecturer. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks a lot.
Hi, here's a link to AHPRA's definition of practice. www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Codes-Guidelines-Statements/FAQ/recency-of-practice.aspx They have mentioned about non-direct clinical care, which relates to your wife. We think, as long as her experience was in the last 5 years, she should be fine.

Hi, we suggest that you do the online self-check to find out. AHPRA will assign you to a particular stream. If you haven't watched our video about the online self-check, here's the link:

Hi, can we apply for OBA while studying Cert III in aged care here in Australia?
Hello, you can, if you have the credentials of a registered nurse overseas - registration and the minimum required hours of practice.
That's what other people are doing. They enrolled in an aged care course (so on a student visa) then simultaneously reviewing for OBA until they are ready to take the exam. Hope this helps!
Hi, my agos-40 from shows $740 total fees which was issued in 2018 and you advised on the Video $887.Could you please tell us which if you have new version of form.
Hello, the latest is $887. Thanks
hie guys your awesome, we recently got oba assessment letter from aphra .can you just tell me any oshc
Hi, we are not experts about OSHC but during our study, we were with Allianz.
Any idea po ba kung how much ang magiging gastos sa oba? Thanks.
Hello Mark, hindi pa nag release and NMBA sa mismong price sa OBA. Inaabangan namin :)
Hello po! Incoming Nursing student po ako. Nakasama po ako sa Kto12 program. Ask ko lang po if after I graduate, mas madali na po bang makapagwork sa Australia? Or kailangan parin po ba ng OBA or degree holder from any australian university? Thank you po!
Hi, if coming from the Philippines kahit RN ka na sa Pinas, kailangan niyo po mag OBA or degree from an AU university. Di "daw" kasi equivalent standards natin jan sa Pinas sa standard dito.
@@jcandloraine thank you po!
You're welcome po
Hi po, really got lot of ideas feom ur vid. Just want to ask regarding the exams. The MCQ and clinical do you have any idea po if anu ka hirap? Or madali lng ba?
Hi Pearl, at the moment wala pa kaming enough information to answer your question kasi di pa nagsstart ang assessment. May bagong information sa NMBA na March 2020. We will let you know kung may further info na kami :)
May I ask who your australian education agent is and where to get one of those?
Hi, our education agent was AMS Global.

Hi po new subscriber. 😊

Hello, thank you!
Hi can you please make a video about masters leading to RN
And also please tell that is there any exam that we have to give after we persue masters in Nursing? I mean like doing bachelor's makes us RN..does masters also makes us nurse without any exam
can you suggest any books for osce
Hi, we are not familiar of any books that are sold at this stage relating to OSCE in Australia.
Hii dear friends Loraine said that appearing for OBA we are to go through MCQ test and the practical test in Australia but according to my information i guess that MCQ exam is to be given from our own country and the practical one there in Australia..... Plz do cross check guys .....Im sorry if I'm wrong ... Plz let me know?
Hi, you can do the MCQ (NCLEX) in any Pearson VUE test centres, so you don't have to be in Australia for this part of the OBA. However, you have to be in Australia for the OSCE.
@@jcandloraine thanku so much
How to avail the review program for OBA?...
Hey Anna we are not sure yet but if we find out we will make a video about it or we will send you a reply here. From what we know though there are agencies that help you apply for this.
Although we think you should fill up the AGOS 40 Form first to know if you qualify for the OBA and then AHPRA should tell you what to do next.
Hi po :) Thank you for this video. Very informative po. I'm a Company Nurse here sa PH po pla. Possible po kaya to take the OBA Pathway na ang experience ko po ay Occupational Health Nurse? Thank you po!
Hi, I'm wondering does OBA apply for Enroll Nurse (EN)?
Thanks
Hello, sorry, we are not sure about that. Will you be able to tell us your circumstances and we'll try to ask AHPRA 😊
@@jcandloraine My wife completed diploma of nursing( 3 years) back home(Nepal) and she has no experience. She wants to do EN now here in Australia so does OBA apply for her or it is just only for those who did bachelor of nursing back home. Thanks.
@@xetrybhupe3398 Hi, recent update from AHPRA says that OBA is also applicable for enrolled nurses although nursing experience is required.
Thanks Guys.. Do you have any rough idea how much work necessary is required to eligible OBA through enrolled nurse stream?
We hav to do oba, is it compulsory, there is no easy process to b rn in Australia
Hi, unfortunately, there is no easy process. Either you do the OBA pathway or the Bachelors Pathway (1 to 2 years of study).
meron po ba expiration yung criminal check?
As per AHPRA's website, valid yung criminal check up to 3 months from the date na na issue sya
Are there any courses in Australia preparing for the OBA?
Hello Mario, there is a review program in Australia. A friend of ours is doing one at the moment that cost around AUD 5,700.
JC & Loraine hi can you please comment the institute offering this program. Thanks 😊
@@jcandloraine is that from RPS migration australia?
@@robr8213 Hi Rob! Yes, although she said the 5,700 already include the review for OBA and PTE.
Looking forward to a new video regarding today's s announcement of APHRA.
MCQ exam will be under Pearson ($350 USD) and OSCE will be done at Adelaide Health Simulation ($4000 AUD).

Hey Vien! We are currently editing a new video and will be possibly releasing it tomorrow.
Does the ahpra acknowledge being a company nurse here in the philippines as a valid nursing experience for australian RN registration?
Yes miss Jeanne! We asked AHPRA themselves and this is what they had to say:
“Practice means any role, whether remunerated or not, in which the individual uses their skills and knowledge as a health practitioner in their profession.
Can I do brigecourse in tourist visa
Hi, if the course is 3 months or less, you can from what we know. Although we suggest that you ask a visa consultant to confirm this.
What's the amount for bridge couseand OBA
We are not entirely sure yet for the OBA as they have not released an official price for it. For the bridging program though it depends which program you choose as they have varying durations and providers so you will have to research which program you want to choose.
Hlo Jac and lorain I m from nepal but I m ur huge fan
