I actually ended up snagging the thin bandeau scarf from the Fendi collection and put it on the handle of my Palm Springs Mini. I agree that a lot of that collection felt a bit lazy but the scarf felt like an easier (and less expensive) way to add a piece of it to my closet.

Haha yeah the lunar new year collection at both their regular line and outlet sold out so fast. I'm not that surprised though - the dragon they came out with is one of the best this year plus they worked with a Chinese artist to create it too.
Much needed and well researched topic. I was waiting for some amazing designs as well considering it’s the dragon and was wondering what happened. It’s interesting the western interpretation can fall flat and you can see who paid attention and who considered it an afterthought.

My Chinese zodiac is the dragon and I didn’t like any of these. I wished they did a better job. I really wanted a bandeau from LV with the dragon on it but I didn’t like it. It looked like the decorations you put around your house when it’s lunar new years. Looks cheap to me.😅 which is so disappointing because for the year of the pig and ox they had the cutest bandeau. Even makeup nothing with the dragon this year was cute. I was looking forward to Clinique year of dragon highlighter. They did so well with the previous Chinese zodiac but the dragon one this year was a flop.
I had to go look up the highlighter and you're right. It looks so basic 🙁 The square scarf from LV is probably the best of their scarves for this lunar new year collection. I love how they formed the dragon with the gem pieces on that scarf but they didn't carry that idea into the designs for their other scarves.
