The wooden objects that the figures near the entrance are made of, are piano hammers. The part in an acoustic piano that strikes the strings. i really like this visionary art, it has got something to it. So thank you Jacob, for introducing and touring us around this special museum.
I adore the AMV, that hand in the back "holds up" a giant movie screen, they do outdoor movie nights on that giant grass hill behind it like Rocky Horror and Jaws.
Didn’t see anyone saying this but I’d just like to say, Mandrills we’re once considered to be members of the baboon family but are now considered separate! They’re in their own group called the Drills :-) hope you read this I’m a big fan
The museum has a yearly kinetic sculpture race. Contestants must peddle sculptures that work on land, in water, and through an obstacle course. Fifi, the pink poodle, usually makes an appearance in that race.
Hey. You came to my hometown. I used to work nearby and always wanted to check the place out but never got a chance. Thanks for taking the tour for me. 😊
Visionary, indeed! You've been to many an interesting art-jobber, CB, but I do believe this to be the coolest place I've seen yet. If I ever make it back home again, gonna hafta sidetrip down to BMore, visit my buds, and check this spot out. Amazing!
It's funny, he was in my current state of Florida just a few weeks ago, now he's in my home state and town of Baltimore! What are the odds. Thanks for giving me ideas of unique fun things to do here and when I visit back home!
The winged man used to be (maybe still) motorized and would slowly rise and fall in the stairwell. Did you catch the trees outside that are hung with little mirrors?
You've shown some very strange but interesting museums lately. I'd never even heard of most of them. Even some funny objects. I've really enjoyed your videos and I'm fairly new to your channel. Found you through Adam the Woo. Keep up the good work.
meanwhile in Japan fake beer is applejuice flavored and sold as a candy you put in a cup of water. If you ever make it to Japan you need to check out "dagashi" types of stores
@Baltimore's Lioness Awesome, thanks for the heads-up.Going to head down there next weekend with the wife.Thank god everything is getting back to normal. Thanks again.
I wish you would come to the Herrs factory in Nottingham Pennsylvania! Our tour isn't open right now bc of COVID but the visitor center still is! It would probably make a pretty short video but I think you would enjoy it!!
Hi Jake 😲 Woe, the monkeys were cool,In childhood my brothers had some very creepy rubber masks.Love the handmade movable toys.enjoy the artwork. The attention on the pandemic markers.Great stop on your road trips. Thanks for the video 👌😁
Thought the gorillas were amazing, the hairball was horrible 🤢, but the animatronics were fantastic, loved the vlog Jacob, i thought i saw Kristie in the reflection at the beginning, but maybe not, Thankyou Jacob, loved the vlog x
You can call me prejudiced if you like, but when hear the term "visionary art" I immediately think pretentious and annoying. But that was neither. That was just plain weird, an I am a proponent of all things weird. Great video.
Very off beat but enjoyable folk art museum. Hope you visit Fort Mc Henry in Baltimore where Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner when they had a ship that was being fired upon.
@@Regina0964 hey I don’t care either way. I’m just curious why you’ve answering over and over that it’s Anna. We know what Anna looks like and that isn’t her. We just saw her at disney world.
It’s his new girlfriend.he just told us in his new video about his life and divorce etc. she’s at the start in the reflection in the broken glass out the front of the museum.
I think she had a camera in her hand too and was doing the same Jacob was doing.he is such a good guy.they hard to find these days.lucky I found a good one too.
Wonderful place, & fantastic gift shop! Also lovely to see you so happy, Jacob. I always enjoy seeing your smile, with that interesting & very sweet gap between your front teeth. Back in Chaucer’s day, a “gat-toothed smile” was used - in the case of his Widow from Bath (in “The Canterbury Tales”) as a kind of well-understood shorthand of the day, to show that she enjoyed sex, & was sexually active. However, in fortune-telling, a gap-toothed smile means that you will travel a lot, which in your case is certainly true! Thanks so much for taking us to see all these places that some of us will never see in real life.💐
Cool museum! I would like to go to these museums one day. That is, if I go to Baltimore one day. I went to Baltimore for a conference one year and it was fun. I didn’t go to this museum but I love it. The gift shop is super cool too. I’ve never seen a gift shop like that before. What’s with that sculpture with that guy eating babies? Is that in John Podesta’s art collection? That’s quite disturbing! I guess people interpret it differently though. But that is weird. I wonder what the museum said about it? Well, thanks for sharing! Have a great day!

17:21 mr. Carpetbagger i love the nail art on your finger buddy.
I adore the AMV, that hand in the back "holds up" a giant movie screen, they do outdoor movie nights on that giant grass hill behind it like Rocky Horror and Jaws.
This is my favorite museum ever! It’s a real rock and roll circus!
This is my favorite art museum but I haven't been in a while! Thank you for showing us all the new stuff!

Cool place. Thanks for sharing.
The first sculptures were made from the string hammers inside a piano.
oh good that's what I was thinking as well
This museum is amazing. The artists have such great imaginations. Thank you for bringing it to my living room.

Definitely an amazing sculpture garden in Hamilton, NJ which I love to visit in my state!!

That was fun. Thank you for taking us along.
Anyone see her? I’m so happy for him! Also this place is so cool, love to see the imagination of art itself.
Yes, Jacob’s new girl friend is right beside him, in reflection, at the start of the video.🦋
Hey. You came to my hometown. I used to work nearby and always wanted to check the place out but never got a chance. Thanks for taking the tour for me. 😊
The Pez Pokémon were super kawaii!❤ lol I could've stared at the winged man statue all day- stunning work. 😍
Love the Visionary Art Museum 😎
This is a really cool museum. Thanks Jacob!
Awesome video Jacob. Thank you. Stay safe. Stay well. Stay blessed
Those wooden things on the mannequin are called ‘dampers’… there the little padded knobs inside a piano
There was some breath taking art on display.tysm for sharing

Kudos for referencing the little-known Thagomizer! Poor Thag. Did he ever know what hit him?
I've been here a couple of times it's a great place to visit.

Happy Puhskinti Day!
Awesome my hometown love all your videos Jacob 🥰
Jacob, I'm nearly stressed to the end of my rope, but your videos *always* make me smile. Thank you! 💞
1:55 those are the "hammers" for piano keys.
27:43 , why would Mike Tyson be included in that lineup ? I'm aware of his conviction, but to place him next to Joseph Goebbels and Hitler ?!?!
Right? Pretty harsh. A bit of a jump from what they did compared to Mike 😯
nice museum
I would go broke in that gift shop!
I think the Bats being nocturnal are why they're asleep and aren't out the majority of the hours during the daylight.
Jacob: "This here is the Flatulence Post..."
Me: Ah, yes-- the artsy-fartsy section. 😆
I dont know where they got their "sleep stats" but MY dogs sleep way more than 10 hrs a day.... lol
Piano heads, they hit the strings.
you should see kinetic sculpture race
Who’s the young lady that joined you mr carpetbagger?
Another fun video! Did notice the mystery lady...lol. Cheers buddy!
The Thagomizer! LOL
Baltimore is truly a lovely and deeply weird place. Loved this video.
1:55 those are parts hammers from a piano

I live in Baltimore and didn't know if this opened back up.Down the street(not sure if its still there)is a cool museum called the Museum of Industry.

Absolutely loved this video
seems like a Ripley's art museum
They were made w/piano string-pads?!
The difference between the baboon and the mandrel is that the baboon is a woodwind instrument and the mandrel has strings like a guitar. 😜

timestamp 124 those are parts of piano those three busts are made of
Thanks for the Merrrr!! 😂🤣
