His blaster rifle from ESB is not based off of a revolver, it’s actually a Webley MkIV flare gun.

Great review. I'm pretty sure that it's a direct rerelease of the Deluxe version of the Empire Strikes Back... I displayed that version as an Empire accurate Fett, so I'm planning to pick this one up to display as the Pre Production look. I like how you used the Cody head sculpt... gives me ideas too... If I don't continue to display Cody holding his helmet. It's just too good of a head portrait to not display. Awesome display featuring the 3 Mando style figures together, by the way!

I may be wrong about his, but wasn't the preproduction look for Boba with the yellow gauntlet visible in the deleted special edition scene with Jabba and Han from A New Hope? I haven't seen it in forever but I recall Boba standing in the background looking pretty different from his normal version.

I’ve been watching tons of videos of Boba Fett figures hi toys social collectibles. Every time someone comes across this blaster they have no idea where it’s from. 1979 15 inch Kenner Boba Fett. It came with a blaster just like that. It’s a throwback piece.
The pistol is actually a converted NEMROD speargun! And the holster even has the NEMROD logo on it! Ha!
Maybe you can take a toothpick to hold the little hooky thing then put the first hook in then turn around for the second one maybe it will be easier to do
so I just setup mine up. and I like the return of the jedi look. so I changed out the backpack and the helmet.
The rifle in ESN is an old flare gun. In ROTJ, they didn’t use a real gun, but created a rubber prop.
His gun is a 37 mm tear gas launcher. I love how he has a life like head on top of having a second helmet with the Jag eyes to really drive home his Mandalorian up bringing with Jango
The ee3 is based off a webley no.1 mk1 flare gun but you were pretty close with the revolver guess

I totally agree with you on the jetpack clips! It's like trying to hang a picture frame on the wall when the wire on the back of your picture is too short or tight and the hooks on the wall are super flush to the surface. It is so aggravating. lol

I'm hoping the Hot Toys Boba Fett we get from season 2 is like this, in that it comes with 2 swap out looks: The heavily weathered Return of the Jedi paintjob, and the restored look too, so you can swap them out over the black robes. Because if I'm correct, the actual under outfit didn't change, he just restored the paint on the armour. It'd be a great deluxe to get both options!

Tip for the jet pack, use a small double-sided magnet and it'll attach without having to use the hooks.
Hey Ryan! Man, I really enjoy your videos, could listen to you talk about figures for hours. You know, I thought of you when I saw this figure on Sideshow. I'd just purchased the previously released deluxe Fett on eBay (new) not three days before the 40th Anniversary version appeared on Sideshow. I thought, "Ugh! I bet Ryan discussed holding out on buying this guy because he knew Hot Toys would be re-releasing him!" Haha! I mean, you are like the Hot Toys whisperer or something! Luckily I didn't spend that much more over SRP and not having to wait months to get my hands on him was a plus as well. But still, talk about a shock when I saw it on Sideshow. All that said, great video. And for the love of god, the Cody head pose was sick! Love it! I jumped down the Hot Toys rabbit hole earlier this year and what a ride it's been. I have about two dozen figures now, most being Star Wars themed. Being primarily a statue collector, switching to these little guys were a very nice change. I look forward to adding more to my collection. Thanks for all you do for the community, Ryan.

The item from 2:13 to 2:26 is actually a Sonic Beam Weapon with the skinny end being the emitter. It’s a really obscure thing to add!
To be a supernerd, if you're gonna pose the 40th anniversary one without a helmet it should be a Jeremy Bulloch (rip) head, and maybe a voice chip with Jason Wingreen's voice. I love Tem Morrison, but hey - 40th anniversary! 😜
My Boba should be coming later today when the, uh, sun comes up (I'm a bit nocturnal) and I cant wait to put the Cody head sculpt on it. I'm thinking I'll try to put him on his stand and use some tweezers to guide the D rings. Figure its worth a shot. I love your videos. I always love getting others insight on figures before I get them. Thank you!!!
Bottle nose pliers are the best way I found to get the jet pack on
Great video & great poses, as always. Boba Fett Deluxe was my first Hot Toy in 2018, and this video just convinced me I need a 2nd in my collection to display with the alternate accessories. I'm now glad they re-released this and with the 40th Anni box I guess it's a different figure. LOL. Always inspired by your great content, thanks and keep up the good work!

I’m not sure you know much about Boba Fett’s costume history but that’s fine. Good clear images so thank you. Many of those parts are from prototype & promo images. It’s worth looking in to as it’s very interesting

I'm still getting one, but i'm very disappointed with the jetpack clips. It says on the Hot Toys site in brackets that it is "epuiipped with magnetic feature". So my assumption was they upgraded it to be fully magnetic. I ordered right now with that as a basis. Again I was going to get it anyway, but would have preferred to spread the spending.
I just got this one and now I'm gonna pose him like that. XD

I had the same issue with the jetpack for my Vintage Boba. I let gravity do its thing and used some tweezers to get the jetpack on those hooks. It is a pain in the a$$. Great video and happy New Year!

I have Sideshow Mythos Fett, great figure (purchased well before the heat), jet pack similar problem, I hold figure upside down and just let it fall onto the clips, works well, just a tip! why they did not do magnet, sometimes I do think Hot Toys can be a little lazy, maybe because so many figures coming out and profitability is the big win, Star Wars is such a Cash Cow for them! Great company though!

The jetpack goes on when you hold the figure upside down with the buckles flipped the other way.
In theory, that works great. However, they only make the holes just large enough, with no room for error.

Am I the only one who misses removable helmets instead of alternative head sculpts? I understand why they do it in most cases but I feel like this could have been a candidate for removable helmet.
I was thinking of picking this guy up but selling the deluxe parts as i have no use and wouldnt plan on selling the figure

People have been asking for a Jeremy Bulloch head sculpt for years on Boba. So far nobody has done it. I wonder if they have issues getting the license to his likeness from his estate or something.

It is exactly like that, but I had an issue with the footage. Sorry I couldn't include it this time.
I believe the box has a slipcase that looks like the original release of this figure and when you remove it has a Kenner type box that is similar but different to the recent Vintage Color Boba Fett Hot Toy. Can’t wait to get this figure!

Sorry for my previous comment, it was shitty, judgmental and perpetuates what’s wrong with the community right now. Seriously, I apologize. I’ve only owned the RotJ Fett with the Sarlac base and the 1/4 scale with the awesome base and it has been awhile since I’ve had either out of their respective boxes but I do believe they both use the same style of backpack attachments; it is pure frustration! My question though would be which is more frustrating Boba jet pack installation or Nebula gun holster? I actually didn’t have that much trouble with Nebula as many others said they had but I remember Fett was, oh cool, I got 1 strap in, then when getting the other one done, the first one came undone.
