      @@Blue2024_rs 中国人买品牌的产品最看重的还是品牌本身,而不是产品本身。中国人在汽车消费方面还不够成熟,这可能和中国汽车保有量低有关。中国人多,但是中国人买过的车大部分只有1辆或者2辆。而且汽车文化缺失,还有国家政策也导致这个现象。最后需要注意一点,在中国销售的很多车的设计并不来自于中国,他们很多来自于欧洲设计团队,当你仔细研究后会发现这可能是欧洲的设计师设计的。没有任何地域歧视,其实我也不喜欢这个样子,但是现在很多车都这样,已经形成了一种潮流,可能是为了迎合年轻人的浮躁。

    This is one of the reasons Elon Musk flew back from the Beijing Auto Show and placed a hiring freeze on Tesla. I would say that without blatant market barriers to Chinese e-cars the US Auto Industry is completely doomed.

    • @karlk7070
      @karlk7070 Год назад +22

      It is fair. If China didn't set up massive protection to domestic brands, forcing all foreign companies (besides Tesla) to collaborate with a Chinese manufacturer, Chinese brands would never have come this far. Auto industry is so crucial to a country, it may not sound very advanced technically to people, but auto-makers create a lot of jobs, maybe not handsomely paid like tech giants, but still a bigger amount of jobs considering all the peripheral industries. A country cannot risk losing its industry by believing in the slogan of free market, as far as the country is no longer necessarily taking advantage of it.

      I think the Chinese car companies will have a small problem here in the US due to the… for lack of a better word, racism of American consumers. We don’t mind buying things from China, but we don’t spend luxury-item-level money on most of them, and we usually buy them through an American supplier. A Chinese brand is unlikely to succeed in the United States, particularly without distancing the brand from any Chinese business ties, because the barrier to entry in the car market is much higher than social media (i.e. it’s not free for consumers and it costs a fortune to make a car that meets regulations) and the margins are pretty thin (profiteering from dealerships aside.) Personally, I believe this discrimination in the markets is a good thing because I think we spend too much money with China, but we also spend money with lots of people who we probably shouldn’t… so what’s a couple car companies.

    I know commenting on the appearance of people is a kind of controversial thing, but Ethan, you’re looking good! The weight loss and increased muscle is noticeable.
    Regarding the vehicle, I love minivans. They are better at hauling people and stuff than most SUVs, but they’re more comfortable, more efficient, and generally better performing. The bling front end is a little too much for me, but the rest of it looks very impressive. It’s very nice that it’s an EV as well. For everyone that says that everything from China is cheap junk (a common saying from the racists here in the US), take a look at this. As far as executive transport, a van shape makes way more sense than an SUV or a sedan because you get so much more space.
    Regarding the Cd of this vehicle, drag coefficient is only part of the story. It’s possible for big shapes like this to have a relatively low Cd, but because it is so large, it has a lot of surface area, and that negatively impacts the force of air drag.

    • @shroomyesc
      @shroomyesc Год назад +1

      @@louiszhou5301 It's not quite Norway, but it's speeding up fast. Diesel prices have gone through the roof way past gasoline, so people are dumping diesel fast and hopping onto BEV and PHEV. Some of the most sold new models are electric or have an electric option, ID.4 has far outsold the Golf for VW, etc.
      About no gas stations, that has seemingly been a big benefit to more rural car owners here as it's much more convenient to fill your car at home rather than drive out of the way to a far out gas station, as plenty of people live on rural roads in Finland. But distances are long, so it's good that charging infra has been stepping up fast since the start of this decade, plenty of businesses in even my small town are opening customer charging too. I could reasonably drive wherever now with modern batterypacks.

    Drag coefficient is just a number you multiply your car's frontal area by to get the total drag (not the drag force that also depends on speed). So even the most massive of vehicles can have surprisingly low drag coefficients if they're sleek enough. Supercars tend to have higher numbers cos they have complex shapes for downforce and cooling.
