Saw one of these when I visited China last month - it's the only car I've seen in recent memory that I was truly stunned to see. Somehow, it already had a taillight out. Had no idea what it was until I got home and did some research.
If you see this car in real life, you will definitely be even more excited because it is more stunning than any picture or video. I still remember how futuristic it looked the first time I saw it on the road.
I think the HiPhi execs went in to the meeting room with their engineers, showing them screenshots from Cyberpunk 2077's cars, and then asked; "Do you think we can make this work?"

@@fdjw88 I am not in North America nor a western country at all which is what's sad. Yes, I know that SOME chinese car manufacturers are international but not these brands I guarantee you. Only bigger brands like Geely, GAC and BYD are prevalent. The cool ones like HiPhi and NIO have not reached outside of China yet.
U know why they're not selling in the NA region, some ppl don't want them to come in and stir the market up so some manufacturers won't lose their competitiveness. The sad thing is consumers at the end have limited choices.
When HiPhi X is announced, most people thought it was a scam and will never enter production. Now they sold more than 4,000 last year, and they have another, even more ridiculous model. Good job!

They forgot to remove the old fashion side mirrors with cameras. The new cars from Audi use cameras..... But TBH this car has to many small parts already which can break, so hopefully it has a good and long warranty then.

I feel like alot of people would be wondering what kind of company would have the resources to not only start an independent car company, but also release high end hyper futuristic self driving EVs as their ONLY cars. 1. HiPhi is owned by Human Horizons, a Private company that manufactures cars under HiPhi and develops Autonomous driving technology. 2. The Founder of Human Horizons has an impressive resume. He worked for Volkswagen-China, was CEO of GM-China, was CEO of SAIC(He was the one who made moves to buy MG/Rover), served in state government(director of a Shanghai High Tech Park). 3. Human Horizons is working with Bosch Connected Mobility Solutions That's it. There's not alot of info on this young company but given enough time, growth and sales, they could very well be the most exciting EV maker in the world.

For us in our european market the closer car from this one will be the bmw ix, but where bmw has made a car without a real sex appeal (it really looks too strange for me) this car is really sexy. I’ve already said it in an other post, i’m really impatient that all these chinese EV’s car arrive in France in order to have performants products to purchase. You got a block of pine a given size and shape, and metal wheels and screws (as axles) and you carved the body into something that you hoped would end up faster than everyone else's. Every Tesla ever released reminds me of some of those pinewood carvings.
Thinking about those crazy cars with crazy designs only for domestic market.. 50-60s in America, 80-90s in Japan..now in China, I love to see those bold designs during the bubble era, the peak that a country can only reach once.
