    Have you ever rented DVC points before? If you have would you do it again?

    I am renting DVC points for the first time this coming October and staying at AKL JH, we rented through David's DVC rentals. it was a super easy process, I am staying for 7 nights at a deluxe (which i have stayed at before, its that good there) and paying less than if i were to stay at a value for the same time. I may only rent from now on until i become a DVC Member. My dream!!!

      @ForLoveoftheMouse  5 лет назад +1

      See that is a perfect example! You are getting to stay somewhere, that probably has been somewhere you have wanted to stay for a while without going way over budget! Renting is definitely a good way to go as long as you can plan it out. You will get that dream soon I know it!

    Sheesh, we’ve heard of you but didn’t realize that we’d never subscribed. So, here it is now! ...Thank you for the info. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever opt for the full DVC, but points rental is an appealing option. And we like to learn about all of these processes and details anyway, so thank you! You gave a great explanation. Have a wonderful weekend!

    Just wanted to add that though you do not get to go to the lounges, you do get free parking at the resort you are staying at which costs you about $25 a night booking through Disney.

      Yes that is a great value! Thank you for adding that!

    Great video! We love renting points! Like you said, it’s allowed us to stay at resorts we wouldn’t have been able to afford if it wasn’t for DVC points 🙌🏼

      Thank you so much for watching!!!! We have a cousin who is doing this to stay at Grand Floridian, and it is so much cheaper than we paid long ago in cash. Such a great way to save money and get a great resort.

    Renting is definitely a great option than buying but me personally, I loved staying at the art of animation when I went and to be honest, I would rather spend my money more at the parks than a hotel since I would be at the parks pretty much all day and just come back to the hotel in the evenings to sleep 😴. Thanks for sharing pura vida amigo 😁

      We just came back from AoA. I agree that it is a great value, especially with the Skyliner. But I think next time we want to build in a few resort-only days and are intrigued by Animal Kingdom Lodge because of the animals and theme. Our thought is we stay at AoA a couple of nights but one night at Animal Kingdom.

    Hey, great video thanks for the info, defo renting points for next years trip had a look at a split stay between okw and poly I’m in the uk and the saving will be around £2500 that’s a crazy saving, even if they put the free ddp offer back on it would still be cheaper renting points and buying the ddp

    4,000 for 5 nights in a one bedroom villa at Aulani in October sheesh!

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  Год назад +1

      Yeah Aulani is not a cheap one. We just did a studio in Disney world for 7 nights for under $1200, so there is still deals to be found with this method. But 4 years ago when this video was made they were much more abundant

    That what we are going to do the next time when we do not have any more DVC points left to use. So, we can go more times to Disney without buying more DVC points.

    Great info, Bryson, we are in the process of renting through David's. Waiting to hear back if our dates are available. Did you buy Travel Insurance? :-)

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  5 лет назад +1

      So we do for cruises, but we never have for a Disney World trip. Could not tell you why, we just never have for that type of trip. Having it though is never ever a bad thing

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  4 года назад +2

      Yeah it is. Everything is just like a normal Disney World trip, minus you renting points and booking through a 3rd party

    How does fast pass work and magic bands

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  4 года назад +1

      You get a confirmation number just like any reservation, on your Disney World account you go to link reservation, enter that number, and then you can do everything just like you normally would. Nothing is different besides having to add it to your account.

    Can you do the disney dining plan if you use dvc points?

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  3 года назад +1

      Yes you can! Once you link the reservation to your account, you just call Disney and you add whatever you would like to just like a non DVC stay

    How accurate was the cost calculator? Or was there more tax added to the estimated amount? Do you know what happens if you have to cancel after you've paid?

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  3 года назад +2

      The cost calculator is pretty accurate as you pay per point and the calculations are made off the total points of your stay you entered. When you enter into the rental agreement all costs are laid out point blank as well as all cancelation details. So before you agree to anything you know what you will pay and all the terms. It seems like a lot at first, but they were very good to work with and made it very easy.

    • @emilybarnes6643
      @emilybarnes6643 2 года назад +1

      @@ForLoveoftheMouse could you give an estimate as to what the additional costs are when you enter the rental agreement? Really trying to stay within a strict budget and want to have an idea well ahead of time. Thanks!

  • @Ezm87
    @Ezm87 4 года назад +1

    So when you book the room does it have to be paid in full at that time

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  4 года назад +1

      So you put down a deposit which lets them go to work making sure they can find the points need for you choices you give them. Once they find options for you and agree to one of the options, yes you do pay in full.

  • @ChristysCorner
    @ChristysCorner 5 лет назад +1

    Do you know about how much the Poly usually is with points?

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  5 лет назад +2

      To rent they all are around $17/point. Each resort though could be more or less each night is where the price difference comes in

  • @Fortheloveofthethrill
    @Fortheloveofthethrill 4 года назад +1

    When renting is it a 30 or 60 day fast pass window?

    • @ForLoveoftheMouse
      @ForLoveoftheMouse  4 года назад +1

      Still a 60 day window, you link your reservation to your account. So as long as you have the park tickets as well you are good
