- For this video I wanted to share my super simple technique for tracing an image onto a t-shirt. Let me know what you think!

So I get a lot of questions about how I get the images onto the shirt. This is how I do it most of the time. If it’s something more complex, like a cartoon character, I will just print it on a piece of paper, then trace the same way.

i kind of gave up on my aspirations to do airbrush art with my parkinsons diagnosis and now im thinking using my left hand instead of giving up would help. my right is fine and thats my drawing hand. i notice in a proper grip the left helps hold the brush steady as you make those strokes. it just takes a lot of practice and muscle memory.
with EVERY stroke you have a one time opportunity to get it righr or screw it up, yeah, some stokes can be covered over but the main ones like the colored shadow all have to be smooth and right the first time around and you didnt miss a beat, thats good!

You don't have to have good handwriting to be good at lettering. Lettering is a skill. It can be learned. I have terrible handwriting but I have lettering skills that match the best in the business. I takes lots and lots of practice though.

Does this fade away if you wash the clothing?
Unfortunately airbrushed shirts do fade after washing. Things like Hang Drying and not using fabric softener will help slow the process.

Hey I was just wondering I have some birthday money that I’d like to buy an airbrush with to make clothes any suggestions I’ve read It’s better to get a siphon feed so you can change colours does it matter what brush i buy I’ve just found a double action siphon feed brush from a website my mum used and she thinks his supplies are good do I need a certain nossle size to start doing clothes ((: thanks

Jeff i've notice that pretty much most all airbrush artist do there drop shadows to the left side is it to cover up overspray??? and thats a nice B....
I don't know why... It's just how I've always done 😁 it. Sometimes if I'm off center I will shadow the other side to re center.
I most often put my shadows to the right, I happen to be left handed. I have heard other artists and teachers mention that most right handed artists will shadow to the left and most left handers will shadow to the right . not sure why it just seems more comfortable for me
